The rumble of the aeroplane engines had Ethan sitting down in one of the chairs, pulling me down with him. It was then that I noticed the interior of the plane... and it was very, very nice. Creams and leather, wood and chrome, and it was more like a luxury hotel room, not a plane with a thousand seats for its passengers.

As I went to stand up, curious about the plane, Ethan's hands tugged me back. "No, Morgan, it's dangerous."

"I'm just going to have a look around," I said as the plane started to take off. "Once we're in the air," I corrected, remembering that you weren't supposed to walk around while the plane was ascending or descending.

"Stay with me."

"I can't believe that, after all you've been through in the past ten years," I said. "That of everything, you are afraid of flying."

"I never had to fly when I was there," Ethan reminded me. "I was always on the ground."

I chuckled at him and sat more comfortably on his lap, I felt like I was a security blanket as he wrapped his arms more securely around me, holding me to his chest.

"Where is 'there'?" Derek asked, sitting in a chair opposite us, a drink in his hand.

"I do not know," Ethan said. "I said so earlier. I went into the woods and got lost."

Derek turned to me. "So how did you two meet?"

"He saved me, helped me, and eventually, we got out together."

"Still a saviour, brother?" Derek teased. "You know, Ethan used to be one of those kids that would rescue a cat or a bird when he was younger."

I looked at Ethan then, thinking how that wasn't quite as true any more, now, instead of helping them, he caught them to eat them. Anything he caught now was prey. I didn't reply to Derek's comment, instead I snuggled into Ethan's chest. His fingers started making a circular pattern on my side, soft, gentle motions. It was hypnotising, a seductive pressure. Another pressure of the same motion on my shoulder, warmth from his body surrounded me, a firm yet gentle brush of lips on my brow and safe and warm, sleep took over.
