Dominic Jones

Looking at his sleeping wife Dominic sighed. This wasn't how they imagined how their life would be. A couple of months ago they were doing just fine investing, giving back to the community and furthering their empire. For all of it to be snatched away in a blink of an eye was heart breaking not only for them but for their family. Shaking his head, Dominic wiped the tears that were threatening to fall. Opening the door to the car he stepped out. He softly closed the door, opening the back door he grabbed everything he needed for his morning hygiene soap, toothpaste, mouthwash, floss, rag, clothes and etc. Shutting the door back he made his way to the pool that was abandoned due to the school year. Looking around he made his way inside of the gate. Sliding his shoes off, then his socks. After he was fully undressed he dipped his toe in the pool checking the temperature of the water. Grabbing his rag, and soap he dived inside of the water. Closing his eyes his lips trembled, praying to god that everything gets better.

Sometimes he would want to call his parents but he didn't want them to worry since they had enough on their plates. Feeling the water splash Dominic turned around coming face to face with his wife. She smiled but it went away when she seen that he was crying. She wiped his eyes and kissed his cheek.

"It's going to be ok." Kia mumbled kissing his ear

He nodded and hugged her tightly, laying his head in the crook of her neck. "I love you Kia." He mumbled sniffling

"I love you too Dom, thru thick and thin, sickness and health, and most importantly for the richer and poor. You are my rock, my soulmate and my foundation. You keep me sane baby." She mumbled wiping her on tears

Soaping the rag up Dominic started scrubbing Kia back. After they were finished they stepped out of the pool. Grabbing their towels and drying off. After drying off they got dressed. They then picked up their tooth brushes, applying toothpaste they brushed their teeth. When they finished they grabbed all of their belongings. Exiting the pool Dom grabbed everything out of Kia hand. He opened the door and grabbed a garbage bag. Opening it up he placed their dirty clothes inside of the bag, throwing in the back he shut the door. Walking towards Kia he lifted her from the ground, placing her on the hood. She spread her legs slightly so he can step in-between them. Once he did he laid his head on her chest, with his ear to her heart listening to her heartbeat.

Hearing her stomach growl– Dominic looked up.

"Hungry?" He asked already knowing the answer

She nodded and he grabbed her hand, helping her down. He walked towards the passenger door, opening her door for her– once she was settled he closed her door. Pulling out his wallet checking it. Noticing that he only had twenty dollars left. Shaking his head he walked to the drivers side. Getting inside of the car he cranked it up. Checking the gas meter he nodded, it was enough to last for the next two days. Pulling out of the parking lot, he turned his head to look at his wife.

"What you want baby?" He asked her turning his attention back towards the road

She shrugged and thought about it. Not remembering if they ate or not yesterday. Shrugging again she looked at him.

"Ion know waffle house maybe." She told him

He nodded and drove to the nearest waffles house, getting out he opened her door and closed it. Walking inside of the waffles house all eyes were on them. Ignoring everybody stares they went and sat at one of the booths.

"So what are we going to do today?" Kia asked whispering

He leaned over the table and kissed her. "Why are you whispering?" He asked her

She rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Hoes gon' get stuck watch." Dominic said

The waitress walked over to them and handed them a menu and some utensils.

"What can I get you to drink?" She asked pulling out a pen pad

"I'll have an orange juice." Kia said and she wrote it down

Turning her attention to Dominic she asked him the same thing.

"What can I get for you sir?" She asked him

"Nothing ma'am I'm fine." He told her

He handed the waitress the menu back. She nodded and told Kia she'll be back with her drink. He turned his attention to Kia and she was frowning.

"Baby you gotta order you something." She whined grabbing his hand

"I'm fine, I'm not really hungry." He lied hoping she would believe him

He smiled at her showing her his perfect set of teeth. She blushed and he winked at her.

"Stop trying to distract me with your sexiness." She said pouting

The waitress came back with her drink, Kia ordered her two waffles and some hash browns.

Dominic watched his wife with a smile on his face. She looked at him and blushed.

"Stop staring at me creep." She mumbled looking out of the window

He tickled her neck and she laughed nuzzling her head and his hand.

"I love you for real on some real shit." He mumbled kissing her hand

"Stop being a sap." She said laughing when she seen his face drop

They continued to talk until the waitress came with her food. Kia stood up and sat next to Dominic.

"Eat." She said sternly

She passed him a waffle and he rolled his eyes. He opened it and started smashing after he poured syrup all over it. She laughed and started eating.

When they were finished Dominic paid for the food and they left out.

"What know?" Kia asked once they got inside of the car

Dominic looked at her and shrugged. He honestly didn't know.
