"Remember those walls I built
Well, baby, they're tumbling down
And they didn't even put up a fight
They didn't even make a sound
I found a way to let you win
But I never really had a doubt
Standing in the light of your halo
I

Kia Jones

Kia woke up to the fresh aroma of breakfast. Stretching her body, she kicked her legs over the bed. Checking the time on the bedside dresser it read ten o'clock. After picking up Dom from where she dropped him at yesterday he told her about his day and they drove straight to the hotel that they will be staying the next couple of days, it was a refresher for both of them. Walking into the bathroom she handled her morning hygiene. When she was done, she made her way to the mini kitchen that was inside of their hotel room.

"Morning baby." She said walking up to him

Dom turned the stove down and turned his attention upon her. Grabbing her by the waist, he pulled her body towards him so that they were molded perfectly.

"Morning wife." He mumbled

Leaning down he closed his eyes and placed a couple of sweet tender kisses upon her lips. Kia grabbed the sides of his face and deepened the kiss. Chuckling Dom pulled back biting her lip slightly.

"I'm cooking baby." He pecked her lips one more time before turning around to finish what he was doing

"When did you go to the store?" She asked looking through the refrigerator for something to drink

"Around six." She frowned her lips because she never felt the bed shift especially due to the fact that she wasn't a heavy sleeper

She sighed and walked up to him. Wrapping her hand around his waist she placed tender kisses down his back before laying her head down. She watched as he finished up. Backing up to give him some room. He grabbed her hand and pulled her to the table. Pulling the chair out so she can sit down. Once she was seated he made her food it wasn't nothing fancy just some heart shaped pancakes, waffles, eggs, bacon, and sausages. He placed the food in front of and poured her a cup of orange juice. Doing the same he sat in front of her, they prayed over their food. Holding light conversation from here and there.

"I wanna take you onna date. It's nothing fancy but it will do." Dom told her as he stuffed waffles in his mouth

Kia smiled. "Sure baby."

After they finished up eating breakfast Kia went to clean up their mess but Dom stopped her.

"I got it baby." Kia shook her head, she didn't understand why he felt the need to do everything

"We can do it together." She told him

Dom sighed and nodded his head in agreement. Once they finished cleaning up they took a couple of hours to relax themselves.

Dominic Jones

Sitting at the state park, Dom watched as his wife studied the nature. He didn't understand for the life of him why she was sitting on the ground.

"Baby come here!" He yelled out catching her attention

Kia got up from the ground and dusted herself off. Walking up to the bench she sat beside him watching as he wrote something down in his journal. She laid her head on his shoulder, smiling at how cute he looked concentrating on the task at hand.

"What are you are you writing?" She mumbled softly

She picked up his hand and intertwined them together. Dom sighed, leaning back some he licked over his lips admiring her beauty.

"Hold on real quick." He stood to his feet. Grabbing the notebook he told her, he would be back inna minute. After a few minutes he came back with a handful of items.

"Dom what is all this?" She asked looking at the majority of gifts in his hand

"It's just a couple of appreciation gifts for staying down. You a real one and I fuck with that." He passed her the bags and pulled his notebook out

"This a poem." He cleared his throat to get her attention

She paused what she was doing and stared at him.

"Times have been tough, and things have gone wrong,
But the deep love we share has been there all along.
You say why go on, there's nothing that's right,
But we never give up; we continue to fight."

"There's a light of love that gives us our sight.
Our hearts may get dark at times, but we know there is light.
We both have situations not fair,
But inside we get through them because of something special we share."

"The trials make you aware of the way we feel,
A love that is not fake but so very real.
I know at times that it seems like a raw deal,
But we must get through these trails until we are healed."

"Trials are not easy, and you feel there's no hope.
There are times when you feel you're at the end of your rope,
But you must go down deep in the pit of your heart.
Let it stop your despair and give a new start."

"For true love for each other is a gift some never get,
So when that trial comes, don't ever forget
That there is a rare thing we share that had to come from above,
And those trials will end; what got you through was pure love."

When he was finished he put his head down and sniffed. He didn't know if he wrote the poem for himself or for the both of them. Kia wiped the tears that fell from her own eyes, sitting the gifts down on the bench she walked up to him.

"It's going to be ok, were going to be okay. God got our backs remember that." She wrapped her hands around his neck and pulled him down into a tight hug

"I love you K." He mumbled kissing her neck

"I love you to Dom." She said laying her head in the crook of his neck

"Forever and always." They mumbled in unison
