Keep Going

"Your hardest times often lead to the greatest moments of your life. Keep going. Tough situations build strong people in the end." Roy T. Bennett

Kia Jones

After Kia woke up, she went on a search for Dom. When she didn't find him she asked near by pedestrians who she showed photos to and one couple informed her that he walked into the gym. At first she snuck in watching him workout for a few, but soon as she heard a thud she panicked.

She remembered shaking him, he opened his eyes smiling before blacking out completely. Not knowing what to do she poured water on his face. When he didn't budge she called nine one one. When they arrived they rode to the hospital, the doctors informed her that stress and dehydration was the cause of him fainting. She knew her husband was working hard to make her happy, on top of trying to find a job but sometimes she wanted him to relax himself. The sound of voices broke her train of thought.

"Is he okay Kia?" The sound of Dom parents Angela and Senior could be heard

"We rushed over here soon as you hung up the phone." Senior informed her

Kia gave them a soft smile before nodded her head. "He's resting but he's fine. Your son is really hardheaded."

Angela chuckled, walking towards the bed she sat down next to Kia and grabbed Dom's hand. "He's always been that way. He gets it from his father."

They looked at Senior, who was in the mirror admiring himself. "Ugly, pigeon looking ass nigga always in the mirror." Angela mumbled shaking her head

"What was that, I'm not ugly when I'm deep in yo pus–." He got cut off by the sound of Dom's voice

"Ain't nobody wanna hear that shit Senior." Dom mumbled dryly

He kept his eyes closed, but the feeling of him getting popped in his stomach woke him up completely. He glared at his mom's before cheesing.

"Hey mommy, mamas, pops you to old to be deep in anything I'm sick." Dom said gagging lightly

"Good to see you alive Junior, and don't play with it nigga. Mess around and have another sibling in a couple of months." Senior chuckled walking up to him

"Yeah aight." Dom opened his arms out, Senior hugged him tightly before smacking him in the back of his head

"I'm a grown ass man Senior and that shit ain't even hurt." Dom said mean mugging his father

"You need to cut this bird nest from the top of yo head, look like a gah damn gutter rat son." Senior replied pulling his hair some

"Ma get yah man's for I lay the paws on him. I'm thirsty." Dom swatted his hands away

"Stop all that cussing boy. Move nigga." Angela said pushing Senior to the side so she can hug Dom

"Aight ma damn, you squeezing a real nigga. I'm not dead girl." He said pulling at her arms

"Boy shut the hell up, you my lil baby." She grabbed his face and kissed his cheek multiple times

Dom looked at Kia and frowned. "I'm thirsty and hungry mama." He whined causing her to suck her teeth

"I'm just trying to show yo ugly ass affection, haven't seen you or Kia in months. What y'all been up to, I know y'all been going threw it losing everything you worked so hard on puts a damper on your personality."

Dom ignored her, grabbing Kia face he kissed her passionately. "Ok that's enough nigga, we trying to be serious. No matter how old you are we still got y'all backs."

"What she said." Senior mumbled looking in the mirror again

"Ole conceited dirty, diaper wearing motherfucker. I want a divorce." Angela told him

"Girl suck my dick from the back." Senior said waving her off

"We're fine ma I promise." Dom told her

"We've been living in and out of our car, struggling, worrying about what we gon' eat, what our next move is going to be. We're not fine at all, I'm sorry Dom but we can't keep doing this."

Dom clenched his teeth before nodding, he laid his head down. Closing his eyes, ignoring everybody presence.

"Sit yo ass back up and look at me while we're talking to you boy." Senior boomed sternly

Dom sucked his teeth and sat up, crossing his arms waiting for them to speak.

"You feel like because your the men you have some type of expectations to uphold and you don't. You are human Dom everybody goes through some type of trails and tribulations, that's just the way of life." Senior told him

"I'm at my lowest Senior, how am I supposed to be a man and I can't even take care of my own family?"

"It's not about your family, it's about you and Kia. Fuck all that your coming to stay with us when you get out of this hospital."

"I agree, and don't worry about the medical bill we already paid it off." Angela told him

"I didn't need y'all to do that for me, I could've figured something o–." Dom got cut off by Senior

"Son shut the fuck up, you talk way to gah damn much."

"Like father like son huh." Angela mumbled softly

"Don't make me stick my dick in yo mouth Angela. Shut yo ass right up. You think I need a hair cut?" Senior asked looking at Kia

She nodded and trying not to laugh. She loved Dom parents so much, they were the funniest people to her.

"Senior your a ass, I would never talk to Kia like that." Dom said pulling Kia to his lap

"Be careful Dom." Kia scolded looking at the IV in his arm and the fluids he was receiving

"Yeah ok boy, wait until that damn eight year marriage anniversary hit. I'm hungry what y'all want?"

"It don't matter." Kia and Dom said in unison

"Alright when I bring y'all horse ass don't say shit. Come on Ang bring yo old ass on."

"I'mma poison yo old ass one day." She told him

"Yeah yeah woman, you been saying that." Senior waved her off and they walked out of the room

"Annoying ass motherfuckers." Dom mumbled kissing Kia cheek
