All you could do was stare at Clark from where you stood in the break room and think about what happened yesterday. "It just baffles me how he did it so quickly." You expressed to your workmate claire. "I just-" Claire began to speak. "Your soul was snatched?" She asked as she sipped her coffee. You just shook your head in disbelief. You were gonna bring it up again today, you just had to figure out how you were going to go about it. "Ugh what am I supposed to say?" You whipped around as you noticed he had caught your stare through the window. "How about starting with 'I'm in love with you' that might work." You glared at her and just shook your head before chuckling. "You're no help." You grabbed your mug and headed out of the break room and back to your desk. Clark was intently focused on his computer screen with a confused expression written across his face. His back was hunched over to get a closer look through his glasses at what was written on his computer. He looked so displaced you wanted to say something. "Clark, is everything ok?" You asked walking to his desk. "Uh-..uh no I mean, I'm sorry I-I have to go." He rushed up out of his seat without even grabbing his jacket from the back of it. "Clark your jacket!" You called after him but he hadn't heard you continuing on out of the building. You didn't want to be nosey but you couldn't help yourself after seeing him run off like that. You took a seat in his chair and scrolled down on his computer screen to see an article pop up, covering an ongoing robbery about three blocks away. Others in the office were looking at the multiple screens around the room and talking amongst each other. Just then Perry had come up beside you. "Uhm...where's Clark?" You quickly stood up and flattened your skirt down before responding. "I don't know actually, he ran out like 30 seconds ago." You said. Perry still confused continued to ask questions you didn't know answers to. "He didn't say anything? Like where he was going or what he was going to do?" You shook your head and sighed. "No Perry he didn't say anything like that and I would have told you the first time you asked if he did." He only let out a heavy breath and took a glance over the office. "He better have a good reason for just running out like that or he's not gonna have a job when he gets back." You could understand why Perry would say that with this being Clarks second time doing it. The first time Perry believed his excuse of taking a bathroom break. But you watched him leave the building when he could have used the bathroom inside the building. Thinking about it, you started to see a pattern. Perry had just started to walk away before you called him back. "Perry I've gotta go run a quick errand for my mom she literally just texted me and she has absolutely nobody else to do it for her." Perry looked at you with a suspicious eye. "Is it life or death?" He asked. "If I needed medicine to keep me conscious, I think I would want someone to get it for me." He quickly nodded his head and shooed you off. "Thanks." You ran off out of the door and down the path you saw Clark take. You thought the whole time on your way to the robbery if you should be doing this. But you pushed that thought out of your mind every time because you had to know why Clark would run off every time something happened nearby. While running you had regretted not grabbing a bike or something, your heels were not helping make the journey less stressful.

Finally, after turning the last corner, you had reached the bank that the robbery was happening at and you hid behind a building to stay out of view. Everyone surrounding the building was either recording or trying to get people out of the way in case something bigger was to happen. But suddenly something came flying out of the front of the building. Taking a closer look you realized it was a body. You thought to yourself what in the world had enough strength to blow someone out of a building like that. One might say it was superman who did such a thing but then again you had never seen superman in person so you always thought that he was a myth. Something for people to put their hope and faith in. The man tumbled down the stairs and into the street. You hissed at the pain he must have felt but had remembered why you came there in the first place, to look for Clark. Your eyes scanned over every place in the area but still, he was nowhere to be seen. Being that there was one more building and you couldn't see him anywhere, you moved from your current spot to the next building, and if you were to move past that you would be in clear view of the bank, where you noticed the second thief had been thrown out of the bank as well. That's when multiple people began to run out of the bank and into the streets. But others were gathering up to the entrance of the bank clapping and cheering. Seeing that both of the threats were down, out you came from behind the building you were using as a barrier. When you caught glimpse of what the people were so happy to see you had to look twice. You hoped your eyes weren't tricking you, and to be sure you got a little closer. And then you got close enough. Everything was real. The cape, the suit, the man...Superman. "You're real." You exhaled into a sentence. It was as if he felt your specific presence and he looked your way. But that face was too familiar. Those eyes were too remarkable to forget. This was the man you had been watching and observing for two months straight. "Clark!?" You shouted over the loud cries of gratitude from the crowds. He was shocked at your being there from the moment he laid eyes on you. As soon as you called out his name he lifted off into the sky and beyond the clouds. You stood stunned by what you had just witnessed. Not only did you find out superman was real, but now you know you've been working with him every day for two months straight. And you wondered if you were the only person who knew this.
