"We're here." I heard a faint whisper.
"Go away" I swat my hands at the mystery persons face.
"Tom, carry her in." He said.
"Are you kidding me? Are you planning a death wish from the alpha?" Another guy added.
Then, I heard footsteps approaching the area. I wanted to take a peek, but was to tired to get my heavy eyes to open. So instead, I decided to listen in.
"Guys what are- aw, she looks so peaceful and tamed!" Another guy said, a familiar one in that. Blondie For I knew.
"She's quite a beauty. Christopher is one lucky man." A voice chuckled.
"Indeed, now come-on don't want to keep the people waiting." I felt arms snake around my legs and waist as my body left the chair. We walked flights of stairs, and greeted unfamiliar voices on the way, as I just Laid stiff and rigid from the uncomfortable position, I was then laid at a silky soft bed that I would literally marry. This bed, is a gift from the heavens I thought.
With a 'bam' the door was shut. I decided to explore, for curiosity was getting the best of me. My left eye peeked open, then my right. I sat up rigidly, blowing my lose auburn hair out of my face, looking around this foreign place. The room was fairly big, with a gothic theme to it. The walls were made of, what looked like stones formed in unique patterns, the floors was an expensive marble, as for the furniture were all prestige and expensive looking. This room was way out of my league.
To be honest, I literally have no idea what's happening to my mind right now. I don't know how I'm acting so calm and collective about this, heck I'm even exploring! Now is definitely the time to pull out the YOLO hashtag.
My thoughts were interrupted, when a heard a knocking sound.
"Luna, are you awake? May I come in?" a voice asked.
"Uh,yes?" I said unsure. The doors creaked open, showing a young petite girl, with pale blonde hair and big blue eyes. She wasn't wearing anything fancy, but a worn out cotton dress paired with simple flats. She didn't waste anytime before stepping in, and roaming through a large closet.
"Erm, who are you?" I asked.
"How rude of me! I'm Maria, at your service Luna." She said, bowing down as a courtesy of respect.
"Oh no- it's fine! And please, don't call me Luna." I muttered.
"Then what shall I call you, Miss?"
"Maddy's fine." I smiled. She nodded her head, before proceeding to the closet, and once again roaming through the fine dresses.
"If I may ask, what are you doing?" I asked confused.
"Lu-Maddy I'm so sorry! I don't know what's happening with my lately! The alpha sent me to groom you for the ceremony."
"Ceremony?" I asked dumbfounded.
"Yes miss, the-" her eyes widened in horror, before quickly shutting her mouth and continuing what she was doing.
"What ceremony?" She ignored me, before examining a turquoise gown.
"Maria, please. What ceremony?" I tried a different approach. She bit her lip nervously before handling me the turquoise dress she examined.
"Please miss, just put it on." She said, before scurrying off. I let out a large sigh before looking over the gown. It was absolutely gorgeous. sequence trailed around the bust area, stopping mid thigh. The dress was very flawy and free, made by chiffon and silk.
I hastily put on the dress, before examining how I looked. My skin looked pale, my eyes looked lifeless and swollen, probably from being an emotional wreck earlier. Honestly, I just look so dead. What am I even doing? In this dress, in this room. I should be planning an escape plan, or being mad at every damn thing. But no, it's as if I'm accepting it. Just like that.
Add that to the list of my complicated life.
With a last look at my reflection, I walked out the door observing my surroundings. Everything was gothic and quite prestige, as the whole castle was. People scattered around wearing black and all barefoot, started gathering into a large section of the room, which was the auditorium. The room was dark and lit by a few candles surrounding a stone altar. Odd.
I still needed to find out what the ceremony was about, so I approached a well groomed lady, who was rushingly running to the auditorium. I slightly grabbed her elbow, before she could run past me. She looked back in shock, before
looking down to my attire, realization drawn to her.
"Lu-lu-na" she stuttered.
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you, but if I may ask, what is the ceremony about?" I asked.
"You don't know?" She looked shocked. I nodded my head, waiting for her to continue.
"Well, it's the mating ceremony Luna." She said. My eyes widened in shock,no. I must've heard it wrong.
"I'm sorry, what?" I asked again.
"The mating ceremony." She said once again.
"What?!" I asked, obviously pissed.
"Lu-Luna calm down. It's ugh-tradition, at the old times, our future Luna are required to do that on front of her subjects. As a way to show her honesty and loyalty." She said hesitatingly.
"Where's your alpha?" I said sharply.
"He-he's at his office." With that, I took off with no sense of direction. I didn't care anymore. First, he expects me to give him a heir. Second, he wants me to be submissive over his tyranny. And now this.
I stopped walking, and sat down at the carpeted floors and just broke down. I didn't know what caused me to broke down, probably all the emotions swirling around my head. I missed my family, I missed my mom. I'm tired and hungry, and now I'm worrying about a damn mating ceremony. I'm only seventeen for god's sake! I should be worrying about midterms, boyfriends and all those normal teenage stuff. But that's the problem, I wasn't normal, in fact I was anything from normal.I slumped my head over the cream walls, and started sobbing. Until I heard a masculine cough. I looked up, and saw the least person I've ever expected to see.
"So you know, about the mating ceremony." He said. I rolled my eyes, I didn't have the will or energy to speak to him right now. He looked shocked that I didn't start an outburst, which I returned with my left eyebrow arched.
"It's starting in five minutes." I stayed quiet, and ignored his presence.
He growled. "Look at me, when I'm talking to you." I lift an eyebrow once again before sitting up and dusting my dress. I stalked over to him, face to face and said "You know what, I just don't care anymore." I said, before passing him.
It didn't take long until I was pulled back, him embracing me.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. I was shocked and surprised to say the least. I didn't get a chance to reply, as he lifted me up and thrown me over his shoulder.
Realization caught me."Hey! You-you tricked me! Put me down!" I said, hitting his broad back. Deja vu much?
He ignored me, and used his werewolf speed over to the auditorium. (Ps. In this book, only high ranking alpha's get werewolf speed.)We approached the dark auditorium, where all the pack members dressed in black stood silently. He placed me down over the stone altar, before I had a chance to run two hands held me down as I struggled. I tried to shout, but a large palm was placed covering my mouth.
"Hello, my dear subjects. As everyone knows, today will be the crowning of our new Luna. This year, things will be different. Due to some circumstances, we will no longer do the mating tradition." People gasped. "But, I will mark her in front of you all, as a symbol to my loyalty." He turned around, and stalked over to me. I leaned down, trying to get away from him, I shook my head and tried to wiggle away, but they were to strong compared to me. He extracted his canines and held my neck in place, before plunging his teeth into me. Then, everything went black.~ayeeeee people, and yes, I'm still alive, aha. It's been years since I've made a last update! How's everyone going? (Ps. The mark in chappie six was a temporary mark, to ease his wolf) ~Vicky🙈 N/edited.
