A nutshell.
Was the only word that could describe my life now.
I was confused, dazed, pissed all at the same time. I-just, I don't know what to think. Witches? What is this the 15th century. What he said about my mother...what he said about me. I just, can't process everything that's going on now.
"Caroline White, Mother Of Madison White Caught Dealing With Said Extinct Witches."
Hah, what a headline that would be.
I continued tapping onto my wooden dresser, waiting for Joe to bring the car in.
I just needed to leave.
Packing up the little things that I owned, a large black van parked onto the side of the entrance came into my attention. Joe's figure, slowly emerged waving a hand at me, as he spotted me from the window view, I was facing.
Nodding my head at him, I began to sigh, whilst picking up a small back-pack as I made my way to the gates.
Giving my room one last glance, I steadily held onto the bronze doorknob, when unexpectedly, a small knock erupted at my partially opened door.
A young girl, probably a little younger than I was, was standing on front off me. One hand held up as if she were to knock. Her red curls were thrown down, she wore a purple dress, which accented her green eyes. Her cheeks turned a dark red from the embarrassment she was In.
"Um, Hi?" I asked unsure.
"Oh-h-i-i I'm Char. Joe's sister... Luna." She said obviously flustered.
I gave her a small smile of my own, extending my hand for her to shake. Instead of reaching to my already tired palm, she strangely gripped onto my forearm. Her pink polished nails, slowly digging onto my pale skin.
"You can't leave." She said steadily. I gave her a confused look, slowly try to retract my arm.
Bad idea. Her pink polished nails started to dig further, and further down my skin. Causing me to inwardly squirm.
Well, that's gonna leave a mark.
"I'm sorry, I can't." I said, retracting my arm with more force.
"Please Luna, you can't. I-we need you." She said, her eyes searching mine with desperation.
Oh, if only she knew.
That he was a lying psychopath, assuming, ass-hat, dictator- douche!
"I'm sorry." I said quietly.
Her grip lessened.. And lessened...until defeatedly her arms hang stiffly by her sides.
"You don't understand," she continued, "If you leave...things will happen. Bad things."
I stared at her baffled. Is what she's saying is true, then...
No.
No, just no.
I simply forbid myself.
"What do you mean?" I clarified.
Char's facial reaction held no emotion whatsoever. Her furrowed eyebrows, clearly showed that she was deeply thinking.
What is there to think about?
Luckily, Joe showed up, saving me from the awkward position I was in.
Considering his shocked expression, he too was surprised by his sisters presence.
"Char, what are you doing here?" Char bit her lip, cowering away from her brother's presence.
Joe then directed his gaze on me, "Luna, the car is ready."
I nodded my head, giving Char one last glance. Before I was escorted to a black limousine.
As I walked down the pebbled steps. I could feel eyes on me... I looked up to find the mysterious seeker. But to no avail, I was left empty handed.
Taking a last look on the castle. Otherwise known as my prison for six weeks. I momentarily let out a long sigh, before I got in the car. A long journey a head of me.
