Sometimes, we have to let out the negativity in our lives, let the past go, move on and forward.

Just because someone is blood, don't make them family.

Always remember, it's okay to cut off our family when they do damage or become toxic in our lives.

I did it to my father.

Max did it to his mother.

Both for different reasons.

Never feel guilty for doing such a move. If it is an unhealthy relationship, then you don't need that in your life.

Don't dwindle on your decisions. You make these choices for yourself to become a better person. Don't ever let anyone make you regret that.

"You have no relation to me." I stuttered out as he confirmed to me exactly who he was. "You killed her. Murdered her. In cold blood. Because of you, I had no mother."

"Now, Kimmy, that's not exactly what happened. I've been searching everywhere for you. You are still my little baby girl."

I felt the goosebumps rise on my arms and shivered.

"No, I'm not. I've grown up without any parents. I got to where I am without you." I wanted to leave. To get as far away as possible. I looked over the man in front of me to see any signs of security. I refuse to acknowledge him and I won't call him by his title. He doesn't deserve it.

I felt hot white rage pour through me and then the sting of tears.

"Why are you here? You should be locked away." I snapped at him, my patience wearing thin.

"I've been out for a while, searching for you. I just want to talk, Kimmy."

Shaking my head I saw him lift an arm to speak to me and I stepped back. "You killed her. You robbed me from my mother!"

He didn't deny it nor agreed. He made me feel sick in the guts.

"Kimmy?" I heard someone call out and relief washed over me. "Whats takimg you so long."

Still glaring at the murderer of my mother, Max came into view.

"Can I help you?" Max asked him, making the man step back and away so Max could come next to me.

"I'm Pete, Kim's father. Who are you?" Was his smart remark to Max and I was only getting angrier.

"He is not my father. I don't have one." I sneered, pulling on Max's arm. "Come on, we have to go." I begged at Max, the urge to run still strong.

Max frowned at the words and looked down at the man, Pete. I didn't even know his name, that's how long it's been since I even thought of him.

"Kim doesn't have a father." Max chipped out and we started to walk. Then I saw Uncle Seth coming, also looking concerned.

"What's taking so..." Then it just happened. Seth saw Pete and completely bypassed Max and I and with a raised fist, Uncle Seth punched Pete.
