Natalie's POV

I woke up covered in sweat and my heart was racing. Steve woke up due to my abruptness and gave me a concerned look.

"Natalie, what's wrong? What happened?" Steve asked, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I just had a really strange dream," I explain.

"What was it about?"

"It was about us, the Avengers, the future. Steve, I think I know how to save this world. I think I know how to stop Thanos."

I jump out of bed and wrap the blanket around me. I ran over to my desk and grab my laptop. When I get back to my bed, Steve is sitting up straight and his full attention is on me.

"Are you okay?" he asks when I frantically search open up a web browser.

"Yeah, I just, I need you to promise me something," I say.

I stop what I was doing and turn to face Steve. I give him a very serious look and he nods.

"Of course. What is it?"

I exhale to try to keep myself calm. I don't want to freak him out and I don't want to work myself up so much.

"I need you to promise me that you won't tell anyone anything that happens while discussing this. Don't even tell anyone that we are discussing this. Just pretend that my dream never happened and I still don't know how to prevent the future. Do you understand?"

Steve gives me a concerned look, but I know he'll do what I ask.

"Can I at least ask why?"

"Because in the future only one person knows the outcome. He refused to tell anyone because it would affect what would happen. I need things to go as we plan it so it will end up how we want. Does that make sense?" I ask.

"If we tell the others, they'll want to change it and you are the only person that will know what will happen. It will cause disagreements. I get that. Why tell me though?" he seems confused.

Steve is the only person that I know will stick to the plan. He doesn't like last-minute changes. Winter Soldier proved that. Plus, he likes to know things. I know Steve will back me up and keep what we're doing safe until the others are ready to know.

"I trust you," I sum up my thoughts.

"That's good to hear," he smiles and looks down at the laptop.

"Alright, so what's the plan?" he asks and points to the screen.

"I don't really have one yet, but I know how to make it full proof. I think it's time I fill you in on the events of Avengers Infinity War," I sigh.

"I thought that you couldn't tell us the future," Steve points out.

"I couldn't before because I didn't know I could change it. Now that the future will change, it won't matter. It will be like I'm telling you the plot of a movie, which technically, I am," I shrug and he nods in understanding.

"Alright then, tell me the future," Steve sighs.

Steve's POV

"Alright, before I do that, I have to make sure no one is listening," Natalie says and stands up.

She still only has the blanket around her and I can feel my face flush. It's not like I'm more covered. I simply have a pillow.

I know I should be more focused on the matter at hand, but I can't seem to stop thinking about earlier today. Speaking of, I don't even know what time it is.

I reach over to Natalie's bedside table and get my phone. I look at the time and roll my eyes.

It's 5:32.

I bet they're all out there making jokes about how we've been here all day.

And by they I mean Stark.

"Knowing Stark, he probably bugged this entire building. I already said too much in the open air. We should probably go somewhere else," Natalie states and I nod.

I stand up with the pillow that is keeping me covered still in my hands. Natalie laughs and walks over to me. I gulp as she makes her way closer to me.

God, she's so beautiful. So perfect.

"We should go," she whispers in my ear.

"You're probably right," I manage to get out.

"I think we should get dressed."

I roll my eyes and wish I didn't say anything in the first place. She's right though. There's more important things to discuss.

~~~~~
Natalie and I find a nice quiet area in Central Park where, hopefully, no one followed. She sits me down on a park bench and looked me in the eye.
"Listen, this will not be easy to hear. Trust me, I cried 3 times in this movie, so I can only imagine how this will make you feel," she says.
Natalie places a loving hand onto my leg as to assure me that she'll be there. She's talked up the future so much. It must be a real crapshoot.
I take a deep breath and nod for her to continue.
"Alright, before we get into everything, I'm going to have to have a little bit of back story."
