Steve's POV

I finally felt somewhat happy as the hot water hit my body. The warmth was comforting. Comfort was a nice change to everything that's going on. It wasn't quite enough though. This warmth could never replace the comfort I felt when Natalie was in my arms.

I could feel myself breaking inside. Every time I saw her, my heart cracked a little bit more. I know Natalie loves me. I think it's just so hard for her. I want her to want me though. I wish I knew what was going on inside her brain.

I turned the hot water off and stepped out of the shower. I grabbed my soft white towel and wrapped it around myself. I looked at the bathroom door and felt like I couldn't breathe. Knowing that I can't go straight to Natalie kills me.

I know I need to get over her, but part of me is still holding out a little hope. It's stupid, I know.

My body is practically dry , but my hair is still soaked when I actually leave the bathroom. When I do, I almost drop the towel. I was so shocked to see her right there in front of me. Two inches away from me.

Maddie.

How did she get up here?

"I need your help."

Okay, then.

"How did you know this was my room?" I asked, completely baffled.

"Bucky and I have been keeping an eye on this building for a while now. We know every part. I don't know how we missed bitch face though," she snarks.

"I don't appreciate you calling her that," I try to hold back my anger.

I really dislike this girl. How can she disrespect Natalie? She doesn't even know her.

"What are you in love with her or something?" she says sarcastically.

Is she really that blind?

"Yes."

She relaxes her uptight figure and gives me somewhat of a pitiful look.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't know. I still hate her though."

Just when I thought she would back off.

I push past her to get dressed and she follows me. I roll my eyes and sigh knowing that she won't leave me alone. And the realization hits me.

I'm naked.

"Can you maybe not be here right here?" I ask very bluntly.

I can feel the heat of my face due to the embarrassment though.

"I won't look I promise. I don't think of you like that," Maddie says in an almost disgusted tone.

"Why are you here, Akira?" I sigh.

"Right. I need your help, Rogers."

"With what?" my shoulders slouch.

"I need you to help me get Bucky's memories back."

Wow, they really haven't told her anything yet.

"I thought they would've told you by now," I give her look of confusion.

"What are you talking about?" she matches my look with a hint of worry.

"Bucky's memories are back."

"That doesn't make any sense. He would remember me and - "

"That's just it. No one here knows you. You're not from here," I try to explain.
