Ripple and Horizon backed up towards the exit of camp, as their jeering and angry clanmates crowded them on all sides. Only Gust, their mother, kept yowling their innocence, as Chase bowed her head deeply.

"F-fine!" Ripple stuttered, once the last vote had been cast, his ears flattening tight to his skull, "I-I-I helped, b-b-but-"

A raging roar thundered up from the Tribe, and Flight launched herself forward to land a killing blow upon the young tom. She possessed a savage sort of grace, in the way the prey-hunter crashed into the young male, and pressed his throat to the ground- priming it to be torn open.

Horizon watched on in disgusted horror, the young female bursting out, "Flight, he never killed anyone, he just helped, don't do it." Her words were desperate and pleading, though even as they were spoken held a note of resignation to them. The cat doubted she could stop Flight.

As it turned out, she was correct. Flight paid no mind to Horizon, plunging her jaws down to Ripple's chest and ripping it open in one fluid motion. Only then, did she raise her head, her blood-stained fangs bared. "Get out of here, or you're next." She growled darkly, causing Horizon to swiftly turn tail and get out of there. The young female could survive on her own for a few days, until the murderer was caught.

As Ripple lay choking on his own blood, and Horizon ran, she growled softly under her breath. Flight was not allowed to cleanse this tribe, only she held that sacred duty, to keep the wilds in balance. And taking Ripple from her, would be a sore mistake.

Time to strike back.

As tradition for those who had betrayed the Tribe, Ripple's body was dragged out onto the plains to be taken by the scavengers. For actively working to kill them, he did not deserve a proper burial.

Horizon waited in the grasses until the others had left, and then took Ripple's body away to the Tribe's burial place. He was still her brother, after all- she couldn't let him be desecrated in such a way. When this task was finished, Horizon left the territory, sprinting to the east.

Back in camp, she had a deep frown on her muzzle. She had allowed the Tazama's apprentice to live thus far, but now, with Flight's actions...

She would just have to take another cat from her.

The murderer rose to her paws, and trotted out of camp. Once there, she inflicted upon her shoulder a deep wound, and then turned around. She snuck around camp to the back of the medicine den, and then shoved her way inside the structure. "Leap," The cat gasped, her shoulder very prominently displayed.

Leap stared up at her in horror. "Here, let me fix you up." The Tazama's apprentice quickly meowed, snagging some leaves and rushing to her side. Leap quickly cleaned the wound, and plastered some herbs to the long scratch. "How did this happen?" The young female meowed, glancing up to her.

She did not bother to answer. She tore out Leap's chest in the same manner that Flight had done to Ripple.

Then, she fled.

It did not take long for the tribe to scent the metallic tang of blood in the medicine den.

Flight was absolutely furious. "I can't just sit back and watch my family die." She growled, her gaze whipping around to land on the remaining females from Ripple's bloodline. "Exile them all."
