Chapter 18

Chloe's POV

After Greyson finally got Brandon to sign his test paper Josh handed me my missing work from being absent one day and, I had four worksheets in Social studies and 35 problems in math. I handed the books back to Josh and, went back to bed.

I've been sleeping for about an hour or two when all of a sudden I feel someone shaking me trying to wake me up. I slowly open my eyes and, see Lucas standing in front of me and, said "Chloe wake up you've been sleeping since 9pm."

I sit up still a little dizzy and, ask "What time is it?"

Lucas turns on his phone and, says "11am."

I sat up and, said "And your waking me up why."

Lucas looked at me and, said "You have to do your homework from yesterday with Cole because, Brandon is getting his car fixed, Jackson is at work, the twins are at school, and I have to do my courses so that leaves only Cole left and, he said he wants you in his room with all your books and, papers in 5 minutes."

I sighed and, walked into the kitchen to get a drink of water to help my dizziness which it did and, collected all my books from the kitchen Island where Josh neatly stacked them.

As I walked into Cole's room I see him on his bed texting someone probably his girlfriend Amber. He looks up and, says "Come here."

I sit on the edge of his bed and, he sets his phone down asking "What's easier?" I look through the papers and, say "Social Studies."

He took my Social Studies worksheets and, said "You can do those on your own then so what's harder?"

I pulled out the math worksheets and, said "This."

He took it from me looked at it and, said "Algebra that's actually really easy."

****1 hour later*****

"Your not even focusing your playing with your hair." Cole said going over to his nightstand.

"I am I just don't get it." I said getting defensive pretty fast.

"If you were paying attention you would know what to do and, won't be able to say you don't get it." Cole said throwing a hair tie at me.

"This is a giant blob of a whole another language that's not even gonna be used in my lifespan. Do you wanna know who does math for fun nerds and, I'm not a nerd so I'm retiring from this big mess." I said getting really annoyed with this whole worksheet. Does he seriously not understand I don't care?

"It does make sense your just not listening because, your to busy playing with your hair so use the hair tie I gave you and, put your hair up before I come back." Cole picked up his phone and, walked out of his room closing the door.

When Cole walked out of his room and, left me alone I started crying. I don't understand this and, all he thinks is that I'm not trying or paying attention. I am but, I'm not understanding what's coming out of his mouth and, its making me frustrated.

I start to hear Cole's footsteps coming upstairs and, quickly wipe my eyes leaving my face dry and, tear free so you would've never known I was crying.

Once he walked into the room and, saw my hair still down and, not pulled back he said, "I told you to tie your hair back. So I'm confused on why its still down."

I picked the hair tie up off his bed and, pulled my hair back in a high pony. He nodded his head and, said "Thank you listen the first time though."

I nodded my head back showing I understood what he was saying. He picked up my pencil pointing to the positive six and, said "You put the negative six under the positive six because, they cancel each other out."

I wrote the negative six under the positive six and, he said "Do the same to the other side."

Well Cole when you say other side do you mean other side of the equation or the number by the one I just did. So I went with my gut and, put the negative six under the number by the one I just did and, Cole said "No, stop what are you doing Chloe the other side that's not the other side. Do you know what a side is."

I nodded my head yes as I erased the negative six and, put it under the ten the number to left of the one I just did. But, no apparently that's also not what Cole meant and, he said "Your not listening once again today other side the other side is after the equal sign that's not a side."

I was trying so hard not to cry and, said "I don't know what you mean."

"You do your just not listening because, you wanna rush through it and place numbers randomly." He said erasing all my work.

I sighed and, asked "Can we be done?"

Cole looked at me and, said "Your doing the rest later and, whatever you have today because, your going to school tomorrow."

I walked downstairs and, sat at the kitchen Island doing my four Social Studies worksheets because, Its the only subject I can get done in five minutes Its so easy for me. As I'm sitting here doing my Social Studies I'm thinking about joining the cheer leading team I just have to find an outfit to tryout in.

I quickly did my Social Studies homework and, ran upstairs to my room to find a cheer leading outfit for tryouts tomorrow. I looked through my closet when I found the perfect black shorts, silver rhinestone hair bow and, red crop top. (Outfit Above) I put my outfit in my book bag along with all my books and, homework I had scattered on my bed.

Guys I have an amazing announcement. As you can tell I updated on a day that wasn't Thursday and, that's because this Thursday is SPOOKY DAY YAY🎃🎃🎃🎃🎃 soooooooo....you all better stay updated because, the Millers are doing a HALLOWEEN SPECIAL WHOOOOOOO!!!!!
