Chapter 47

Lucas's POV

We finally arrived at our campsite and, the minute Chloe saw the lake that surrounded around the whole campsite along with a a few cabins along the lake I already knew this was going to be fun. As Jackson unbuckled Rylie Chloe got out of the car and, started walking to the trunk were her stuff was I waited for her.

As I saw her reaching for her duffel bag along with anything else she brought I noticed her sleeve rolled up a little and, saw where Cole slapped her it was all purple looking like it already started to bruise. I tried to see it a little more by asking her about it but, she just pulled away her arm and, said "Lucas please don't tell Brandon or Jackson it's fine really it doesn't bother me and, I don't want him getting in trouble because I want this to be fun."

I sighed as she gave me her best puppy dog eyes and, said "Fine but your letting me at least look at it later you better show Brandon if that starts to get worse I know Cole can hit hard but that just looks awful did Brandon even see that?"

She shook her head no and, said "He only saw it while it was red not bruised which is why your not going to tell him he didn't seem worried about it when he first left it so you shouldn't either your not telling anyone and, I mean it Lucas no one not even Cole it's fine I seriously don't care."

Once all the stuff was unloaded out of the trunk everyone started to make their way to the forest where we were going to set the tents up at. Rylie clung to Chloe the whole entire night and didn't let her out of her sight even when Chloe went back to the car Rylie followed her holding onto her.

"Guys let's play a game of hide and seek in the woods I'll start as the seeker everyone else go hide someone just has to stay with Rylie because, she'll get lost." Josh said looking at everyone to see if their in. Rylie went straight to Chloe again as Greyson laughed.

"Rylie you should go with Brandon or Jackson because, Chloe over here has no sense of direction and will get you lost in the woods she might even get you killed in there she's not someone I would relay on for life support or survival skills." Greyson said as he was laughing.

Jackson turned to Rylie and, said "I'll take you here's the deal though everyone has to be back here by eight even if you weren't found because once the sun starts setting the woods are gonna all look the same and, you won't be able to find your way back in the dark."

Right as everyone got up to go in the woods Greyson turned to Chloe and, said "Be careful it would suck to die on a camping trip and look out for the clowns that lurk in the big bad woods they have chainsaws and will kill you."

Chloe's POV

Right when Greyson said that I really didn't wanna go in the woods. Not like I even wanted to from the minute Josh had this Idea how could someone so smart in math came up with the dumbest shit. Like I'm already a good ten minutes in this piece of crap and, I already hear the fucking bushes move. I'm freaking out there's no way in heck I'm gonna come out alive.

I heard footsteps behind me but when I turned around I didn't see a single soul. So I started running further into the forest when all of a sudden I fell over a branch that fell off a tree. Thankful it didn't cut me to bad just scratched the crap out of my legs causing me to bleed a little but, I was to scared to stop running so I just ran deeper into the woods.

I haven't seen a one of my brothers since we were at the campsite. I began to wonder what time it was but, soon it was too dark to see anything so it must've been past eight I went to reach for my phone but, noticed Brandon still had it so I couldn't call or text anyone to see where they were not like I would get a signal in the dead center of the woods in the middle of absolutely no where anyway.

I tried to retrace my steps back to where the campsite was but, like Greyson said I have no sense of direction and got lost as I continued making my way through the pitch black woods as I saw a stray cat walking around and, decided to pick it up and carry the black cat back with me throughout the woods.

As I found my way back out of the woods I saw the campsite and, carried the cat back with me to my brothers. I'm gonna ask Brandon if I can keep it because he's so scrawny and needs help he looks so helpless and I feel bad. Once I got back to the campsite grounds I walked towards my brothers who were all by the campfire as Lucas saw me and, said "I thought you got lost it's almost ten and we've been waiting for you to come back for two almost three hours."

I shifted the cat in my arms and, said "Sorry that's a long story but Brandon I ran into a cat along the way and I wanna keep him he's so little look at him."

Brandon looked at me like I was nuts and, said "Chloe what the hell you don't know if that cat has fleas and I don't know where it's been so put it down it's not coming home with us."

Before we close this weeks chapter, I do have an amazing announcement to make. Drum roll please I'm officially taken as of 5/20/2020. So I will be trying to continue LIAH and nothing is changing here. I'm so glad to have you guys in my life and on this journey.
