Chapter 28

Chloe's POV

After Greyson and I shook hands and, called it a deal that he wouldn't tell Brandon about my detention as long as I stay quite about him stealing Josh's homework I started walking towards the door getting ready to walk to school right when Brandon walked downstairs. He saw me and, asked "Where are you going?"

I turned around and, said "I was gonna walk to school Josh is taking too long."

Brandon ran a hand through his hair and, said "He's looking for something yeah go ahead I guess you could I don't know why you want to but, go ahead."

The minute I opened the door Greyson said "Chloe no stay here just in case he comes down soon."

He shot me a wink and, I walked back over to him knowing he might need me to cover for him. Brandon looked at us and, said "I don't know what you two are doing but, I don't like it so stop."

I looked at him and, said "Were not doing anything were literally just waiting for Josh because, I don't wanna go to school ten minutes early and, wait."

Greyson looked at me shocked that I came up with that on the spot while, Brandon looked at the time and, said "That's fine I guess just don't fight."

Josh started shouting and, said "No I know I have it somewhere come on I know I put it away and, did it."

Rylie came running downstairs waking up to Josh's shouting and, sat in my lap causing Brandon to see her and, say "Good morning Rylie."

Greyson looked at me and, whispered "Maybe we should walk because, were going to be late if we wait and, Brandon took my keys away."

I nodded and, set Rylie on the stool I was sitting on, getting her off my lap and, started walking to school with Greyson.

Brandon's POV

I noticed Greyson and Chloe start walking to school not waning to be late and, shouted for Josh to come downstairs and, leave for school "Joshua let's go your gonna be late and, I'm gonna have to sign a slip so get out the door."

Jackson just left to take Cole to get surgery done on his wrist as Josh came downstairs with papers in his hand. I threw a granola bar at him as I made Rylie a bowl of cereal. Once I read the papers a little closer I saw that was his homework he didn't complete. I took the papers and, said "This should've been done Friday you had the whole weekend as well. Not to mention your grades are going to go down now, your gonna get a detention, and your late so when you come home I want to see you going straight to doing your homework."

Josh sighed and, said "Sorry Brandon I must've forgot I thought I did it though normally I don't forget and, do it but, I'm sorry it's not done."

I sighed at Josh's words sometimes forgetting he's actually the more so mannered teen I'm raising as I said, "Josh I don't know what's getting into you but, your grades are already slipping this is gonna land you down the hole now so fix it before you end up with Greyson."

Josh shook his head and, left the house driving to school.

I turned to Rylie who was eating and, asked "You'll be a good kid and, do your homework right?"

She nodded and, said "Mommy told me school is very important and, you should go to learn and, get a good job."

I laughed and, said "Your mommy is very smart."

Rylie looked around and, asked "Where did Cousin Chloe go she's supposed to play with me and, never leave me alone?"

I picked her up and, said "Cousin Chloe had to go to school so she can get a good job when she's older she'll play with you when she comes home."

Rylie giggled and, said "Cousin Chloe already has a job she's on TV and, auntie Kim is a fashion designer."

I nodded and, said "Yes but Chloe needs a back up plan for if acting doesn't work out in the future."

"You know when Cousin Chloe lived In Colorado she played soccer." Rylie said hugging me.

Lucas came downstairs seeing us and, said "Good morning."

Riley grabbed towards Lucas and, asked "Lucas will teach me how to play soccer Chloe said she couldn't because she was banned."

Lucas tapped her on her nose and, said "I have courses to do online first then I will teach you so at 3:30 ish."

"What are you gonna be when your older?" Rylie asked hugging him too.

"I'm studying to be a lawyer what do you wanna be?" Lucas said/asked Rylie as she rested her chin on his shoulder.

"I wanna work in the fashion company auntie Kim owns." Rylie said letting go of Lucas.

Lucas looked at her and, said "By the time your old enough the company is gonna be under Chloe's name and, she'll be running it."

Rylie smiled big and, said "Now I wanna do it even more."

Lucas started his courses and Rylie left him alone and, helped me clean around the house and, make Chloe's bed.

Chloe's POV

I was walking home from detention when I saw Rylie in the backyard playing soccer with Lucas. He was teaching her how to play and, right as I was about to walk into the house she shouted "Lucas Cousin Chloe is home!"

Lucas laughed as she ran up to me and, said "Play with us."

I shook my head no and, said "I'm not allowed to I told you this and, I have homework, so I can't but you can play with Lucas instead."

Rylie looked at me and said "You were allowed to play back home in Colorado."

I ignored her and, walked inside sitting at the kitchen island by Josh as he was doing his homework and, decided to join him doing mine.
