Chapter 48

Chloe's POV

I got up to put the cat down but, instead put it in our tent. I don't care what Brandon says I'm taking him home just until I can find a home for him he needs someone to look after him he seems really sweet. As I was tucking the little cat into my sleeping bag I heard Jackson call my name and, walked back to the campfire.

Lucas pat the spot in the grass next to him indicating me to sit down next him. I sat down as I heard everyone playing truth or dare. I groaned once it was my turn and, got dared to jump into the lake with my clothes on. As I was getting up to jump into the lake Greyson picked me up and, started running until he got to the lake and threw me in. The water surrounded as he threw me in causing water to get in my ears. I started to trend the water and, swam to the dock climbing out of the water.

Once I got out Greyson looked at me and, said/asked "You suck at trending water how deep does the lake go?"

I looked at him as he stepped closer to the lake and, pushed him in saying "I don't know you tell me big brother have fun on your swim."

He quickly got out of the water as I started running back to the campfire scared of what Greyson is going to do to me. Once I ran back to my brothers with Greyson only a few inches behind me Brandon yelled at us "Hey no running around the fire that has emergency room written all over it Chloe calm down."

I ran to Lucas and, clung to him saying "Lucas protect me I pushed Greyson into the lake and now I'm scared keep him away and protect me with your life."

He hugged me and, said "Chloe I've been protecting you with my life since you were born and now that your back I'll do it again any day any time."

Once Greyson got within reaching distance of me Lucas stood up holding me on his hip as Greyson saw me and, said. "WOW Chloe Rose has to run off to Lucas to protect her because she can't protect herself she's pathetic."

"Greyson you threw me in the freaking lake that was like six feet deep and, I can't even stand in five feet so how am I pathetic all I did was push you in and, you decided to come chasing after me." I said holding onto Lucas tighter as he held onto me.

"Lucas put Chloe down and Greyson go to bed now I'm not even dealing for it you. Chloe Jackson wants to talk to you so go take a walk with him." Brandon said stepping into Greyson and I's argument.

Jackson handed Rylie off to Lucas as he went to take a walk down to the creek with me. As he was walking with me he said "Chloe I know you think your going back to Colorado to live with mom."

I nodded my head and, said "Yeah that's where the house I grew up in is along with all my friends we all live within walking distance of each other."

He took a big deep breath and, said "Nothing lasts forever I know you know that but, what I want you to know is that all good things come to an end. So with that bein--."

I cut him off and, said "Jackson whatever your about to tell me don't beat around the bush just flat out say it how it is because, it'll be easier for me to get over it if it's all straight forward."

He stopped me and, said "The house you grew up in no long belongs to mom she sold it and, someone bought it. Chloe mom lives in the UK now your not moving back to Colorado there is no house there to go home to. Your staying in LA with us I'm sorry but, I had to tell you sooner or later."

To be honest I didn't know what to say to that like I've lived there since I was two and, moved there from LA where I'm now back in LA to permanently stay forever how am I supposed to be okay. Out of all things I could've said though I decided to just say nothing.

Jackson just kinda looked at me and, said "If it makes you feel any better I can try to get Brandon to agree with you on bring that cat home if you want."

I shook my head yes as we started our way back to the others he got to know me a little better along with me getting to know him better. Turns out Jackson Isn't all strict he has his soft sides I rarely see them but, I know their there. I didn't think out of all my brothers Jackson was gonna be the first one to know this but, I had to tell him at least I had to try.

I slowly stopped him and, said "Jackson I need to tell you something just promise me you won't freak out I know I'm asking for a lot but I need someone to know Its been almost two weeks now."

He stopped and, listened to me saying "Okay I can't promise I won't freak out because I don't know what am about to hear but by the way your saying it this seems important so just tell me."

"Jackson I didn't even tell Lucas yet please just promise me not to freak out just this one time I want you to at least know so you can have an Idea about what the future might have in hand I'm not telling you. You can't tell the others you can because, I know you would never promise to keep something like this from Brandon but, just promise me you won't freak out." I said looking into his big brown eyes as he looked into mine thinking for a moment.

"Okay fine I promise to not freak out go on." He said giving me the permission to continue what I was going to say.

Crazy life guys lemme tell ya. Things happen you keep those who've helped you through the most, closest to you and they help you through it all and show you the way out when everything is nothing but darkness and you feel hopeless.

I'm doing better, my back is getting better, I'm back to eating and digesting again thankfully a second doctor's appointment was not needed. I'm still learning how to move on but it's getting easier especially with all my friends who've stayed and never left my side.

Just gotta fix this sleeping schedule now😴😴😴😴😴😴😴🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
