Brandon's POV

I saw Chloe pull out her homework and, asked "Chloe what are you working on?"

She took out two worksheets along with her Social Studies book and, notebook. After she got everything out she said "I have math, Social Studies and, Science."

I nodded and, saw Josh pull out four slips an orange one, red one, purple one, and beige one. He handed me the orange one first which was the late slip. I signed it expecting only to get one. But he kept handing them to me.

I saw all of them and, asked "What are these all for?"

Josh laid them out and, said "Orange was for being late, red was for the detention I have Friday, Purple is for a warning about my grades, and beige is a slip that gets me pulled out of my math honors, I requested it."

I signed all the mandatory slips until I came across the beige slip and, asked "Why did you request to get pulled out of your math honors?"

Josh put away all the slips and, said "Because my grades suck right now and, with all the math homework I won't have time to bring up all my grades."

I signed the beige slip and, said "This isn't due until next Monday so take time to think about if you want this turned in or not because you have an A- in honors math so I don't see an issue on that."

Josh nodded and, started his homework finishing it and, putting it all away. Chloe was still working on her homework almost done with it when Greyson came into the kitchen and, sat by Chloe. She whispered something in his ear and, his face had guilt read all over it. He whispered something back and, Chloe nodded her head.

"Brandon can I talk to you?" Chloe asked trying to get my attention.

I turned my attention to her and, said "Yeah go ahead."

Greyson looked at her daring her to tell me as she said "Greyson stole Josh's homework because, he didn't do his so Josh would take the fall for him instead of him getting in trouble. So technically Greyson deserves all those slips not Josh."

I immediately turned my attention to Greyson and, said "Your keys are gone for a month and I'll be scheduling a meeting with your principal that you will be going."

Greyson fired back saying "Chloe was late coming because, she was in detention."

Tears started glistening in Chloe's eyes as Lucas walked into the room leaving Rylie with Josh upstairs. Once Lucas walked into the kitchen and, heard she had a detention today he looked at me as I said "I knew you owed one but, you didn't tell me it was today."

I watched Chloe's facial expression as she said "I'm sorry."

"As for you Chloe I'll let you off with a warning just this one time because, you were honest about it but, next time that's not flying." She nodded her head understanding what I just said.
