"Oh, how fancy seeing you, folks in here" Mary muttered, smiling fondly at Arthur while (y/n) just shrugged.
"Mary... Linton... uh, (Y/n) this is uh,
Mrs. Lint----" before Arthur could even finish, Mary butted in.
"Mary Gillis" she said, sticking out a hand, (y/n) then butted in.
"Sorry, my hands are full" (Y/n) said, looking at her hands (which were empty), saying that the gesture's not welcomed. Mary, hissed lowly.
"Arthur, I'm just gonna fetch some vegetables, don't let me see you two fooling around, or I'll saw that"
(Y/n) remarked, refering to what Arthur's hiding between those legs.
"alright, go ahead Baby" Arthur said,
emphasizing the last words. She left, staring daggers at Mary and entered the store.
Mary looked at Arthur with a cocked eyebrow.
"Never took you for a taken man, Art."
Mary said, holding Arthur's wrist.
He harshly took Mary's hand away.
"What do you want?" he asked,
Mary just shrugged.
"here" she started, "thought I still had the effect on you"
Arthur chuckled deeply, almost tearing into tears as he just continued for what seemed hours.
"You're funnier than I remembered" he said, Mary took a hand in her chest.
"I mean,hmm, it's 1905 now, well
a good 18 years since us"
"So?" Mary asked.
"Look Mrs. Linton or Ms. Gillis or whatever the fuck is your surname,
I don't love you anymore alright?
I'm a married, loyal man for Christ Sake! I have three great children with that amazing woman, so why go back to you?" he said, Mary gasped, looking at him.
"How amazing is she?" Mary antagonized, Arthur just smiled.
"Amazing than you can ever be...
