Author's Note: A bit more somber than what I usually do. This is also pre-hermitcraft (but Grian knows Mumbo).

 Mini's POV:

I vaguely remember the past Minecraft worlds I went to. Those worlds were dangerous with monsters that normal people have never seen. I happily took on those challenges until I was killed and forcibly resurrected as the undead.

I couldn't feel as well as I use to now. My mind tends to drift to more murderous ideas, but Zee and the other Evolutionists tend to bring me back from the brink before I destroy everything. Tonight was no different but instead of me being the monster, I was the one to be there for someone.

 Grian.

Grian was suffering from nightmares ever since Taurtis arrived. I was also getting weird flashbacks of the past worlds. The outline of a strange rabbit attacking a man with black hair kept coming to mind.

My mind kept wandering as I walked by a zombie. It garbled odd words at me, but I couldn't be bothered to listen. Grian kept shifting from being AFK and not, and I needed to see him. I wanted to make sure he was okay.

I took out my old skeleton key and opened the door to Grian's inner chambers to the empire he owned.

" Grian?" I called out to no answer. I tiredly fixed at my glasses and walked up the stairs. When I reached the bedroom of the emperor himself, I heard weak crying. I lowered my shoulders and leaned against the door frame.

" Grian?" I called out once more. Grian's entire body jolted like it was charged by a lightning bolt. The admin looked at me and hid himself underneath his pillow.

Grian's body shuddered as he brought his legs up, " Leave me the hell alone Mini." he hissed in a muffled voice. I walked over to the bed and sat down. I put my hand gingerly on Grian's side causing him to tense up.

The two of us sat there in silence as Grian slowly removed the pillow. The emperor's eyes were red from popped blood vessels. He sniffled and twitched as he stared at me. Grian pulled himself up as his arms shook, and I quickly helped him to it up fully.

" Why are you even here?" Grian questioned as he completely sat up. The evolutionist breathed heavily as he looked at me, " You were going AFK and coming back on. That doesn't happen, and I got concerned mate." I told him.

Grian crossed his arms, " Don't bother Mini...." he wiped his eyes, " I'm f...fine..." he choked out his words. I carefully took Grian's hand and felt his pulse.

 Fast...

 Too fast...

Netty taught me different health related problems. It could be from how to spot anxiety to when someone is about to pass out. Grian's problem? Grian's problem was that he had a nightmare. A nightmare so daunting that it forced him between being offline and on.

I frowned at him and carefully moved his head to make him look at me. Grian breathed lightly as his leg bounced, " I don't want any of you to get hurt...." he mumbled as he looked down. I leaned forward, " Why would we get hurt, Grian?" I asked him as he tiredly leaned against me.

Grian blinked slowly, " Ever since Taurtis came back... and since he vanished again.... I've been getting dreams, or visions, that....." he put his hand over his mouth and shuddered. I looked at him as he sniffled.

" You don't have to tell me.." I told him. Grian leaned against me further and put his arms around me.  I told him and patted his back, "Just breathe, okay?" I told him as he tightened his grip. Grian's breathing was steadying as he sniffled, " I don't... I don't want Sam to kill anyone anymore...." he choked as he dug his nails into my back.

 Sam....

That's a name I haven't heard in a long time. I don't know why it sounds familiar.... My head hurts too much when I think about the past. I kept holding on to Grian as his grip loosened.

" I'll make sure that you don't have to worry about Sam.... You aren't alone now Grian." I told him as he sniffled. Grian sniffled again, " Can....Can we find Taurtis? He's been... He's been gone for weeks now...." he whispered.

 My breathing shallowed.

 I....

 I couldn't promise Grian that.

Taurtis has been gone, and his body is in the hospital due to his consciousness being there. Minecraft wasn't safe, but we still play it.

Before I could respond, Grian was fast asleep against me. He was incredibly pale as I wrapped him up in his red blanket. As much as I wanted to let him sleep in peace, I decided to stay on with him and comfort him again in case he has another nightmare.
