A Changing Encounter

Author's Note: A little oneshot. Welcome to the first appearance of Bdubs in the Mightyverse. I don't know whether or not to call it canonical yet though.

 Bdub's POV:

 " Hey uh, Keralis! Keralis something is very wrong over here!" I looked towards the barn as Keralis came out holding his hand over his robotic eye, " Yes Bubbles?" he questioned with a yawn. I lowered my arms as he walked over to me, " Are you feeling alright? " I questioned as he smiled at me, " Of.... Of course!"

 I continued to stare at him before returning to what I was looking at. A deep crater in the world. An odd, human shaped crater that radiated with a weird kind of magic. I was going to call X about it, but I honestly had no clue on what to call this odd situation. 

 My tail twitched as I looked over at Keralis. He continued to have his hand over his eye as I motioned to the hole. Keralis looked into the hole, " That's..... very odd?" he commented with an awkward look.

 Well, this ain't Keralis. He'd comment on how cool this hole is, or how we should call 'Shishwamy' or one of the other hermits. I looked at him, " Yes it is, Keralis, my friend." I told him as I crossed my arms behind my back. I forced the vines around my arms to remain where they were as I smiled at him.

 " I'm going to go check out the barn. My stupid horse is acting up again." I waved my hand as Keralis's eye widened, " D-don't do that!" he waved his hand as I tilted my head. I decided to amuse him for a bit longer, " Now, why shouldn't I Keralis? Is there some epic thing in there that's a surprise for me?" I questioned with a smirk. 

 'Keralis' nodded his head quickly, " Oh yes! It's going to be very good. X and the others are sure to come around." he grinned as I nodded, " Well, I need to go get some stuff though, so I'll see you around. " I waved goodbye to him. 

 The false Keralis walked me as I walked behind my house. Alright Bdubs, let's find out what exactly the doppelgänger of my best friend is up to. I leaned around the wall and watched as the fake Keralis walked far from the barn and towards Keralis's house. 

 I should follow him. No, I know that I should, but I know that he just came from the barn while holding his eye. He's hiding something there, and I'm going to figure out what. I just hope that what's in there is the true Keralis. 

 Walking to the barn, I looked around the village and saw that fake Keralis was nowhere nearby. I smirked and entered the barn and stopped. My eyes widened as I looked at Keralis sleeping on the ground; his robotic eye was deactivated and parts of him were bruised. I hurried over to him and kneeled down next to him. I grasped his shoulder and tried to shake it, but a pink glow of magic went around me. 

 " AAAAAH!" I screamed as I was thrown into the air like a rag doll and forced away from Keralis's body. The magic then stopped, and I was stuck in the air. I looked down at the person that had me. A tall, weird looking guy with horns and pink-dyed hair. He grinned at me wildly, " Sooo, you went into the barn. Bad choice." he laughed as I thrashed around. 

 The crazed guy laughed again as he held up his other arm. I continued to thrash around in pain as my vines started to curl further into me.

 " Why are you dO-AUGH-ing this?" I questioned as I stared down at the mysterious magic user. The guy frowned, " For the fun of it! You two are 'new' to this 'season' according to the other hermits, so I decided to invite myself in and cast some magic." he started to laugh again. 

 The magic started to make my whole body burn. I looked at my tail as it shrunk down and turned into a small, wiggling thing of light. Every time that the magic dug into me; more pain caused me to curl up and black out.

 ((30 minutes later brought to you by Stumpt screaming at each other in confusion))

 I groaned as something picked me up, " B-Bubbles?!" Keralis's voice rang in my ear. I whined and waved my arms up at his voice. I was set down on what felt like a bed's pillow. My body twitched as I slowly tried to pick myself up. 

 " Please be careful Bubbles... I am sorry for being so loud..." I could hear the sadness in Keralis's voice as kept trying to get up. Everything continued to hurt as I forced my eyes open. I looked up at the towering Keralis and screamed. My body ached as I flinched and curled up. 

 Keralis winced as he looked at me, " I am very sworry bubbles.... very sworry indeed." he lowered his head. I shook and tried to stand up as my body continued to hurt, " What happened to you, Keralis? How'd that bad guy get ya?" I questioned as Keralis lowered his hand to the pillow. 

 I rolled off of the pillow and smacked onto Keralis's hand. I shook myself out as I looked at my back as a weird glow manifested itself. The glow shifted through some slits on my back as red and white wings flapped behind me. 

 The two of us looked at each other in shock. Keralis frowned as he forced his robotic eye to turn on, " I do not remember Bdubs.... I-I-I... It's weird... It's like my poor little head is spinning." he put me on his shoulder. 

 Keralis left the barn and started to walk down the path. I frowned at Keralis as my tail twitched. I used a vine and wrapped it around Keralis's shoulder. We made it to Falsewell, " We find Shishwamy or Docky, then you can be turned back..." Keralis nodded with a smile.

 " Hopefully..." I shrugged as I laid down on Keralis's shoulder. My wings flapped in the wind as Keralis quickly walked in between the games. He stopped in front of the sign for RUN. I smacked the side of his face, " No!" I hissed as I stared at him. Keralis gave me a sad, puppy-eyed look, " B..." he started as I held my hand up, " You can play the game after I turn back to normal..." I sighed as I gave into his expression. My tail twitched as we continued to run.

 Next to the Demise game, Doc was talking with Joe and Cub. The three seemed very into their conversation as the two of us turned up. Doc turned around as his tail twitched; his teeth showed as he started to laugh. I lowered my head, " Shut up Doc... Keralis and I got attacked!" I shouted as my wings flapped again. 

 Doc sighed, " Sorry. Sorry. It was too funny not to laugh.... Look, what attacked you two?" he questioned. I explained as much as I knew causing Doc to look at Cub and Joe. Cub crossed his arms, " Sounds like that one guy that turned Ren into a cat." he rubbed his beard. Joe nodded his head, " It could be the same guy that turned Mighty into a male." he pointed out as he fixed his glasses.

 " So, can you guys fix me?" I questioned as I whimpered. The three looked at each other. Doc's tail twitched, " Yeah, I can... Come on... Let's fix this." Doc waved his claw causing Keralis and I to nod. The two of us followed Doc and headed towards Area 77. Cub and Joe decided to accompany us.

 I stood in a weird chamber as Doc got some potions mixed together. He put it into a teaspoon and put it down in front of me. Joe crossed his arms, " Ah remember when I got turned into a fairy.... It was a real odd experience..." he mumbled with a shake of his head.

 I drank the odd potion and gagged as my whole body twitched again. It honestly felt worse than that painful spell. My hands twitched as I turned back to normal. I stretched out and flinched in pain, " My back..." I whined as Keralis made me put my arm around him. 

 " So, you got turned into a fairy, Joe?" I looked up at him as he nodded, " Now, that's a long story as well." he sat down in a chair as he started to clean his glasses. I let out a sigh, " As much as I want to hear that story, I kind of want to go home and sleep for a thousand years." I sighed as Joe nodded, " Understandable." 

 Keralis and I waved goodbye as we headed back to our amazing little village.
