Mighty's Book of Oneshots 2

Captured 1 (Fantasy AU)

Author's Note: I may end up doing this little series of Captured. There's something wrong here, of course. What's happening here? Why are they chasing this person down? Context clues, everyone.

 -???'s POV-

 CRASH!

 Lightning ripped through the sky above the forest. A large, black horse jumped over logs and swerved through the forest. The hybrid riding said steed ducked underneath the branches that could've smacked them off their steed. 

 Suddenly appearing in front of the hybrid, three figures stood in the road. The hybrid yelped and turned the horse around. Rain was making the ground muddy as the hybrid fled from their pursuers. 

 The rain continued to come down as the hybrid make their horns disappear. They threw their hood over their eyes in order to see better as night continued to approach at an alarming rate. 

 Left

 Right

 Left

 The horse rider continued to flee as they kept looking over their shoulder. No one was there. I.... am I safe? They thought to themselves as they rode. The hybrid turned their head and continued down the path. The dense forest was hard to navigate, but at night during one of the god's storms? 

 Near impossible.

 The hybrid knew this. They knew that the storm would mess them up, but they hoped that they knew enough to get to the kingdom. The hybrid continued to ride. They couldn't fly during the storm, so their horse would of course have to do.

 I'm close.

 I can smell the medical district. It's just a few more miles away. 

 Screaming came through the forest, the hybrid refused to listen. The hybrid refused to listen to any form of reason to help the crier out. Thunder roared like an angry lion above the hybrid. The rain came down heavier and faster like a barrage of arrows down towards the hybrid. 

 What the hybrid didn't see was the shadowy figure in the dark woods. A rope sliced through the rain and grabbed the hybrid by the throat. They screamed and crashed to the ground. The horse stopped and turned towards the hybrid.

 The horse whined and tried to go back to its rider. A hulking, bear-like creature appeared through the woods and roared at the horse. It reared back and looked at the hybrid. The hybrid choked on the rope. 

 " Go." 

 The hybrid mouthed causing the horse to nod and flee. It ran away towards the kingdom that was only a mile away now. 

 The hybrid was lifted up was a stern looking female, and the bear shifted into a short man. The two looked at the hybrid and nodded at each other.

 " Oh... You seemed to have lost your way in the forest..." the man spoke with a grin. The hybrid tried to breathe fire but only smoke came out. The man laughed hysterically causing the hybrid to frown, " What even... what even are you...?" the hybrid questioned with weakened look.

 " I am Auqa, and this is Rehtiw..." Auqa frowned as she motioned between the two. The hybrid was sliced in the side by a sword. The hybrid screamed into the night as a collar was clasped around their throat. 

 The hybrid's whole body had started to turn a light grey as stone and blue crystals sprouted from their skin. They growled as the stone continued to cover them. As the dragon hybrid was turned completely to stone, another hybrid appeared through the dark forest. 

 " Well...." the wolftiger hybrid grinned as she held her chin. The hybrid grinned with an amused, dark look in their eyes. A slow laugh started to form into a monstrous one, " Auqa... Tell the others that we have another one captured. We'll capture the rest of the people in this world soon enough..." she sighed with a roll of her eyes.

 The hybrid led the group into a glowing portal that suddenly appeared. As soon as the group was gone, two men stepped out of the forest. The taller, slimmer man twitched slightly. He scratched at his beard and whimpered.

 " What do we do?" the man questioned as he looked at the other with pleading eyes. The shorter man's long tail twitched. He picked up a leather book off of the ground. He opened it and fear rose in the man.

 The hybrid looked over at his spouse, " Sendrick... look..." he handed the book to the taller man. The blond penguin hybrid looked at the pages, and his heart sank, " Th.... Oh my Woltrian.. This has all the people in the kingdoms, you, me, and Mighty as well." he gasped as he looked at the look, " Quinn, what do we do?!" he gasped as he handed the book back to him.

 " I don't know S... Mighty is gone... These people are planning on kidnapping every version of everyone here..." Quinn tapped the book. The hybrid sighed, " We need to show EX... He'll know what to do...." Quinn spoke causing S to nod. 

 The two left the woods and headed towards the kingdom. The book in Quinn's hand held more secrets, of course. The secrets to the Mightyverse.
