Author's Note: Hey. We get some Zee-canons. He doesn't really have that good of a life when it comes to the watchers. The boys are still on the hunt for BigB. Also, rhyming is hard sometimes.
If I go through with the Ten Little Indians thing, I need to get better with rhyming.
----------------------------------------------------
Zee's POV:
BigB's castle. It's a pretty small place, and it was technically one of the smaller homes in the server. We all still considered it a castle though.
After climbing the hill, the four of us stood in front of the place. It now took on a more darker, colder feeling of dread and stillness. I suppose that's what we get when a villain is lurking in the shadows.
I shuddered.
Zee, don't go thinking about that. We have a friend to save, and we need to be brave. Heh, that rhymed...
I let out a sigh as I looked at the others. Mini crossed his arms as he looked up at the castle, " So, what's the plan, G?" he looked over at Grian. Grian's wings twitched, " We stay together and look around."
Solidarity tilted his head, " Shouldn't we split up? Cover more ground?" he questioned as Grian stared at him. Mini rolled his eyes, " Solidarity, that's how people die in horror movies mate. This is semi-real life." he sighed with an annoyed glance. Solidarity's head lowered, but he nodded silently.
Grian put his hand on the door that was open ajar. The purple feathers on his wings glowed as his eyes did the same. The whole building was casted with a purple glow that swirled like the watcher's portal. I took a step back and stared at it. Solidarity walked up to the building, " What did you do, Grian?" he questioned with a cross of his arms. Grian looked at him, " This blocks any life from getting in or out.... Well, we can go in, but if something's in there...." he trailed off as the rest of us nodded.
My body twitched as a cold chill went up my spine. I rubbed my hand against my neck as we walked into the building. My head and chest hurt as I passed through Grian's magic field. The dark, foreboding look of the interior of the castle didn't make me feel any better.
I held my head and shook slightly. From the top of my head to my heart, everything burned and stabbed into me like a diamond sword. I blinked as I looked at the others. Mini, Solidarity, and Grian walked in behind me. Grian's eyes were still glowing brightly causing the pain to worsen. The good news was that is lit up this ransacked and gloomy place.
Well, I think that the glowing eyes were lighting up the place. I flinched as something got into my eye. I reached my hand up and rubbed at my eyes with a growl of annoyance. Mini walked beside me, " You alright Zee?" he whispered as Grian was talking with Solidarity about where to investigate first.
" Something's in my eye.... Probably dust..." I told him as I opened my eyes again. Mini's eyes widened, " Zee, my man, dust didn't get into your eyes...." he told me as his shoulder lowered. I gave him a confused look as something clicked.
The watcher's curse.
" Y-you don't mean?" I started as the corners of my vision started to turn a cruel black and purple. Fate is being cruel, now isn't it. I can almost hear their voices in my head....
Now two dare to run away
You are the one that now has to play
Take charge of those seven and be forced into a bind
for now it is you that will sometimes go blind
The words echoed in my mind as my legs wobbled like loose slime. I breathed heavily as I held my head and shivered. Mini grabbed a hold of me, " Oh god... Why is it happening now?" he angrily spoke as he put my arm over his shoulders. I shook my head. The deep purples and black swirled around my vision until I was enveloped in darkness. I shook more, " Mini.... Mini, I... I...I.." I couldn't even think about the right words.
Mini let out a sigh as he put his hand on the side of my face. I flinched even if I knew it was just him that was there, " Grian, Zee's gone blind." Mini gently pulled at the corners of my eye and eventually opened it wide. I wanted to struggle and move away, but he has to do this every time this happens.
I heard footsteps as the air shifted around me. A low hum of thought came from my left side as Mini's hand was removed from my eye. The hum continued, " Can you hear me, Zee?" Grian's voice soon hit my ears. It sounded.... off though. Otherworldly even.... Like the watchers themselves were speaking to me.
I nodded my head slowly, " Okay, good.... I know I don't have my full watcher powers, but I can slightly restore your vision.... Maybe?" he let out a sigh. I frowned, " Maybe? what do you mean by maybe?" my voice cracked as I raised my free hand in the direction of his voice.
Another hand, Grian's hand to be exact, touched my head as my free hand was restricted down to my side. A large push of magic caused my vision to return, but it still kept that purple, watcher hue to it. I blinked and frowned, " Is... Is that better?" Grian asked as he lowered his hands. I looked between Mini, Grian, and Solidarity with a frown.
" Why didn't you answer my question?!" I raised my hands in anger. Grian's wings fluttered, " I-I just wanted to try, and Mini mouthed for me to do it." he answered with a nervous look. I glanced back at Mini, " We need all the help we can get...." he narrowed his eyes as I sighed.
" All I see is purple though.... I-I mean, I can see you three, but it's like a filter is over my eyes." I explained as I stood straight up. Solidarity frowned, " At least you can see, right?" he shrugged as I glared at him.
I rubbed my eyes, " Look, what's..... What's the plan for exploring this place?" I questioned as Grian pointed upstairs, " We should start with the bedroom." he mumbled as I nodded. The four of us slowly started to walk up the stairs.
