Chapter 7 Ryan

"Just don't tell your sister if she knew she'd probably put a blow dryer in my shower or some crazy shit" I scoffed inhaling passing a blunt to Ryan Kate's younger brother as we went for a spin in my car. "True" Ryan laughed a little hitting the blunt as I coughed into my shoulder sitting back. "It's your life I don't get why you let a female control it anyways" Ryan mumbled as he passed the blunt back I scoffed ashing out the window. "Bro you're still young" I licked my lips hitting the blunt. "There's a difference between control" I exhaled to the side raising my eyebrows. "And having respect for someone or knowing boundaries" I mumbled tilting my head against the window of my car fried from the marijuana.

"Yeah well I'd never let a female change me" Ryan said as I laughed a little shaking my head. "I use to say the same exact shit till I met your sister trust and believe me bro" I said putting the blunt out looking down at my phone for a second. "So you're cool with me crashing there?" Ryan asked as I raised my eyebrows pushing my hood back. "Yeah I mean you're family" I shrugged carelessly. "You can stay as long as you want, I won't make you pay anything as long as you finish school and get a solid paying job" I explained as he stared at me listening. "And respect your sister" I mentioned explaining some rules.

"You can't do any stupid shit around Cayden either" I stared at him back as he nodded. "Then I'll have to kick your ass" I mumbled as he scoffed laughing a little. "I'm serious get on your shit and just respect your sister and we're cool" I said waving my hand through my curls. "You gotta finish school you know that right? It's almost your last year don't be stupid" I said as he stared down at his hands messing with them.

"I'm not your parent I'm not trying to be your dad I'm just trying to look out for what's best for you" I explained licking my lips. "Don't jeopardize your future surrounding yourself around the wrong crowds" I mumbled shaking my head a bit disappointed. "It isn't worth it" I finished as Ryan took a deep breath. "And I'm not gonna sit here and fulfill your ears with a bunch of shit you wanna hear and sugar coat shit I'm just being a hundred with you" I kept talking staring at him.

"Use your head bro" I mumbled pushing his head playfully as he scoffed. "What's the deal with school anyways or why you're not working?" I asked folding my arms. "I sell stuff" He mumbled as I raised my eyebrows. "Like drugs?" I blinked. "Just coke or marijuana" He mumbled shrugging as I rubbed my hands down my face exhaling deeply.

"Look I hate to see you dead or in jail cause it would break your sisters heart as much as you think she doesn't care she does" I said tilting my head back against the seat. "The streets have nothing to offer you" I mumbled. "What would you know your whole family's rich?" Ryan scoffed. "I can relate and know more about drugs than you think bro" I mumbled as he stared at me. "Nothing good comes out of it ever" I gulped. "And you can't bring that shit in the house around Cayden your sister will murder you herself" I said serious as he nodded. "I keep it at my boys house anyways" He mumbled shrugging.

"Your money isn't guaranteed nor is your life" I gulped looking away out the window putting my fist to my mouth. "I just need to do it for now" Ryan said shrugging as I took a deep breath rolling my eyes. "Finish school and get a job" I said shaking my head.
"Leave that shit alone" I mumbled rubbing down my jawline. "I signed out of school" He said yawning as I looked over at him. "All my credits are jacked" He scoffed as I blinked thinking to myself for a moment.

"So do cyber or get your GED" I said looking at him.
"Yeah money's more important right now" He mumbled as I shook my head messing with my keys.
"I can get you a real job if you'd be willing to work" I offered as he ignored me for a second scrolling on his phone.

I can't believe the kid was selling drugs and if Kate knew she'd have a shit fit there was no way I felt comfortable into telling her what was going on with her brother.

"Look this chick just asked me to come over" He laughed a little leaning over trying to show me a picture as I looked then shook my head. "What's she about sixteen?" I scoffed. "Nah she's eighteen but I hit that already and it was trash" He mumbled as I bursted out laughing rubbing my hands down my face.

"Her head is way better" Ryan scoffed as I shook my head restarting the car beginning to drive back home. "How the hell did a dude like you end up with a lame like my sister anyways?" Ryan mentioned as I raised my eyebrows focusing on the road. "Roomates" I mumbled as he laughed, I laughed with him.

"You're the Danny Leyman" He scoffed shaking his head as I moved my eyebrows down finding that a weird thing to say. "What the fuck does that mean?" I scoffed looking at him then the road. "Oh come on bro you can have any chick you want and probably have over three hundred bodies in this city" He said as I practically choked coughing into my shoulder. "You're tripping lets not speak on that" I laughed a little shaking my head as I focused on driving.

As I got Kate's brother Ryan to open up a little more and got to bond with him and see where he's heads at I got a better understanding on how to help him.

"Dude I'm fried" Ryan said opening the fridge as I scoffed stuffing a zebra cake into my mouth leaning against the counter. "Word" I mumbled smiling small shaking my head. "I'm starving" Ryan mumbled eating some Salami out a bag. "That's your sisters she's gonna kill you" I scoffed chewing licking frosting off my thumb as he shrugged eating more.

"Help yourself make yourself at home" I mumbled walking away to the living room turning the tv on as I laid on the couch. Ryan then walked past me with my Mountain Dew and Doritos I specifically just bought from the grocery store for myself. "You're lucky you're Kate's little brother" I scoffed as he laughed a little eating a hand full as I shook my head adjusting a pillow behind my head. "Dick" I mumbled putting a movie on. "Oh shit is this the movie where they try to kill all their bosses?" Ryan asked.

"Yeah horrible bosses with Jennifer Aniston" I scoffed. "She looks good for her age" Ryan mentioned as I nodded raising my eyebrows as my eyes were at a narrow being high. "I'd hit" I mumbled as Ryan laughed, I laughed with him shrugging moving my tongue around in my mouth finished with my zebra cake.

"Night bro" I exhaled getting comfortable.
"Night" Ryan said back as I slowly shut my eyes taking full advantage of Kate's night to get up for Cayden.

Hopefully her brother can turn his life around with staying with us for a little.
