The Parent Trap

So Mission: Impress Juno's parents isn't going as smoothly as I thought it would be...

For starters, I embarrassed myself right when I first entered the restaurant, wobbling left and right as I try not to fall because of these high heels Val made me wear...
Damn stupid high heels.
Whoever made high heels wanted to be an ankle breaker...
I ain't getting my ankles broken today though, not today!
I kept clinging onto the wall as the people in the restaurant stared at me, some of them wondering what the hell I was doing and some of them watching quietly as they ate their food.
What am I, a free dinner show?!
Stop laughing at me...

I examine the room and then spot Juno in a table in the far back corner, sitting across from his parents.
That must be his mother and father!
Okay Mackenzie...deep breath.
In. And out.
In. And out.
In. And out.
Okay, now I feel like having In-N-Out...

"Oh! There you are Mackenzie! Me and my parents have been waiting for you! Come come! Sit next to me! My parents are so excited to finally meet you~"

Juno smiles brightly as he then drags me to the table, making me plop down on the red seat next to him.
I was now face to face with both his mother and father...oh God, please don't make me embarrass myself even more!
His father then speaks first.

"Nice to finally meet you, Mrs. Mackenzie! My son here has told me and my wife all about you!"

His father then smiles brightly at me as he slightly bows to me.
Him and Juno definitely had a huge resemblance...they both had the same smile.
Juno's mother then speaks to me.

"Nice to meet you too, Mrs. Mackenzie! My, Juno was right...you are very beautiful like a rose!"

Her dark eyes were gleaming with happiness...just like Juno's.
Yep, Juno definitely resembles his parents, but in a unique way!
And they were super nice too!
I smiled to both of them as I then slightly bow to them.

"It's a pleasure meeting you too, Mr and Mrs. S~"

"Ah! And she has wonderful manners too!"

"Indeed! Juno, you have chosen very wisely! Your girlfriend has more manners than the people at my work!"

"D-Dad!"

Juno replied as his cheeks slowly turned red. I giggled as I then pinch his cheeks out of habit.
One hour and two platefuls of Japchae later, everyone was now laughing at the dinner table as we all took small sips of wine from our glasses.
I may have accidentally drank WAY too much wine though, because my eyesight was even more blurry than before...and I felt like I was high on euphoria.
Juno's father laughs as he slaps his hand on the table, causing the tableware to vibrate.

"Ah and that's why you shouldn't tell any jokes to your own boss, because in the end, he'll just turn it into a boring lecture that makes everyone sleep!"

I slurred as I accidentally hiccup, causing Juno to smile. Juno then stares at me for a few seconds before he suddenly starts to worry.

"Mackenzie? Why are your eyes opening and closing like that? Why are your cheeks so red? Are...you okay?"

"Of course Junnie!~ No problemo! I'm perfectly fineeee~"
