Hoseok wakes up from yet another bad dream. This was the second time this week and it was only Wednesday. He knew it was only because Youngsoo's birthday was soon which always brought back painful memories of Youngsoo's mother.
Soon after he had woken up, he heard Youngsoo crying and running into his room.
Youngsoo dived for Hoseok on the bed and cried into his shoulder.
"What's wrong bub?"
"I-I had a bad d-dream."
"I had one too." Hoseok says, holding Youngsoo closer to him.
After a small silence, Hoseok asks, "Do you want to talk about it?"
"No." He says and starts crying harder.
Hoseok laid down with Youngsoo on his chest and they fell asleep together, both of their minds floating back to a dark place.

"Hoseok?" Jimin asks when he walks into the apartment the next day.
"In the bathroom!" Hoseok yells back and Jimin quickly makes his way there.
"What are you doing? It's ten in the morning, you are super late for work!" Jimin whisper yells.
"I took a couple of days off to recoup from yesterday and just hang with little guy here." Hoseok says as he puts a hand on Youngsoo's forehead to protect his eyes from the water he's pouring over the kid's head.
"Oh. Well good for you, you deserve it." Jimin says, dropping his bag in the hallway and sitting down on the toilet (with the lid closed of course).
"Uncle Jim! Now that you're here we can play house!"
"I don't think so." Jimin says and then there is a loud knock on the front door.
"Jimin, can you finish his bath?"
"Yeah." Jimin says as he takes Hoseok's place and said male dries his hands off.
"Can I help you?" Hoseok asks when he opens the door.
He's met with the image of man about his age in silk pajamas, a robe, and slippers. His glasses sat crooked on his face and the sleep mask was pushed up into his hair, making the blue strands stick out in every direction.
"Yeah, I got a couple of complaints about this apartment being loud. Apparently a kid was crying or something?" The man says, seemingly uninterested.
"Yeah, my son gets really bad nightmares and sometimes he'll cry for a while before he comes to me."
"Okay, is there anything you can do to stop the nightmares because it's really bothering this one couple."
"Oh, well, I can see about consulting a doctor but his nightmares are from some trauma he experienced as a baby and it's not really going to go away."
"Please just try to take care of it soon."
"Can I ask who you are?"
"Oh, right. I just woke up so my brain doesn't work. I'm Min Yoongi, the building manager. While I'm here, is there anything else I can do for you? Your dishwasher working okay?" (a/n: #whippedalready)
"Yeah! Well, actually, I think it is. I don't really use it unless I am really tired."
"Do you not do dishes?"
"I do, I just prefer to handwash them." Hoseok says with a wide smile and Yoongi gives him a weird look.
"In what universe-"
"Hoseok? Can you help me with Youngsoo?" Jimin yells from the child's bedroom.
"You should probably go. My apartment is 420 because I could pick whatever I wanted. Stop by whenever you feel like it."
"Uh, actually, you seem like a pretty cool guy. Would you be opposed to, say, having dinner with me tonight? You could meet Youngsoo." Hoseok says, cheeks tinting red a little.
"I would not be opposed. What time?"
"Does seven work?"
"Seven works."
"Then I will see you then." Hoseok smiles and closes the door after Yoongi is well down the hallway.

A/N: Love that. A kid just asked me why I always looked depressed. I told him it was the classes I'm taking. Oops. I lied.
