Epilogue

*Thirteen years later*

"Dad, I'm home! Haeseong is with me." Youngsoo yells out when he opens the door to the house.

"Did you pick up Kyungjae?" Hoseok yells back but he soon appears in the doorway to the living room.

"I'm right here, Dad. I even texted you letting you know we were on our way home." Kyungjae says, huffing and making his way up to his room.

"Hey, Kyungjae! Did you have a good day today?" Yoongi asks as he comes down the stairs and passes Kyungjae.

"It was fine, Pa. Can I just go to my room and not sit here and answer pointless questions?" The thirteen year old says, pouting and making everyone else in the room internally coo.

"Oh, sure. Just let me know if you need to talk. Also, please keep an eye on that attitude." Yoongi says passively.

Okay, let's take a second and introduce everyone.

You've already met Youngsoo and now he's eighteen and in the last month of his senior year.

But who you haven't met yet, is Haeseong and Kyungjae.

As I'm sure you've gathered, Kyungjae is Youngsoo's little brother. He's thirteen and very much going through it at the moment.

Haeseong is Youngsoo's best friend and they've been that way since they met in kindergarten. They're practically attatched at the hip and the only reason Hoseok and Yoongi didn't adopt another child is because they basically had unspoken shared custody with Haeseong's parents.

Now back to real life.

"Haeseong, are you gonna stay for dinner? We're having Jimin, Taemin, Hanjae, Hyejung, Jin, Namjoon, Kyuchul, Taehyung, Jungkook, Chaewon, and Jongseok over for a cookout kind of thing. All the kids were going to stay over in the basement." Hoseok offers as the four move to the kitchen.

Okay, time for another break. Hanjae (male) is seventeen and in the same grade as Youngsoo and Haeseong. Hyejung (female) is sixteen and in the same grade as Jongseok (male). Kyuchul (male) is also seventeen and in the same grade as Youngsoo, Haeseong, and Hanjae. Chaewon (female) is fourteen and in the same grade as Kyungjae. Chaewon and Hyejung are also best friends, despite the two year age gap.

"Oh, sure. I'll text my parents. Um, Youngsoo, when are we gonna..." Haeseong trails off, communicating the rest of his sentence telepathically as the two normally do.

"We can do it now if you want. It's up to you." Youngsoo says with a small smile and soft eyes.

Hoseok and Yoongi share a look.

"Right, now is fine. Can you do it?" Haeseong says, twiddling his thumbs.

"Dad, Pa. We have something we wanted to tell you. We're dating." Youngsoo says very casually.

Hoseok and Yoongi share another look.

Hoseok looks Youngsoo dead in the eyes and says, "That's absolutely unacceptable. You know better than to do this. It's just unnatural. I can't believe you would do this. I expected more out of you. Of all people, you."

Youngsoo gets this really confused look on his face and Haeseong begins tearing up. That's when Hoseok says, "I can't believe it took you this long to tell us. Are you kidding me? We're literally so gay."

And Yoongi adds, "We have a built in gaydar that is older than your ages added together. We so knew like four years ago."

Youngsoo lets out a loud laugh as he pulls Haeseong into his lap since he's sitting on a stool. Haeseong, in return, hits his chest.
