kaitlynnrose: heard blondes have more fun so maybe this means 21 will be more fun than 20. shout out to erin for making today so special. I'm the luckiest girl

"Come on! It'll be fun. I know it's a school night but you're busy all day tomorrow with Harry and I want to spend time with you for your birthday."

I glance up from my textbook and look at Erin as she pouts at me.

"And anyway. I know you want to get your hair dyed, so I booked an appointment as a birthday gift for you. It's in thirty minutes and it's a twenty minute drive. Also the Uber is on the way."

I glare at her as she gives me a smug smirk. With a groan, I close my textbook and go over to my closet. I grab a a tee and some leggings and change out of my hoodie and gym shorts. I brush my hair really quickly before grabbing my stuff. Erin's phone dings as I'm slipping my shoes on.

"Perfect timing, car is here!"

We lock our room and head downstairs. As we approach the curb, I look up and realize that our "Uber" driver is my boyfriend. I can't help but roll my eyes as he rolls the window down.

"Damn, Erin. You didn't tell me our Uber driver would be this hot."

Erin makes a gagging noise as I reach into the car and press my lips to his. I laugh lightly as I pull back.

"Hi, babe."

"Hey. You sticking around for girls day or are you just our chauffeur?"

"Only driving you around, I'm not sitting through that."

I go around to the other side of the Rover and climb into the back with Erin. As I buckle my seatbelt, Harry glances at me with confusion in the rear view mirror.

"Well, take us away Mr. Chauffeur!"

I stifle my laughter as he rolls his eyes at me and puts the car in drive. He takes us to the mall, trying to hide his amusement (and failing) as Erin and I sing on the top of our lungs with the music and dance around. When he pulls up to the salon, I run around to the drivers side window and give him another kiss.

"Thanks for driving us, bub. Love you."

"Love you too," he smiles, pulling me in for one more kiss. "Have fun."

As I walk away, Erin goes over and talks to him really quick. She meets me at the door of the salon and we head in.

"What was that about?"

"Oh," she shrugs. "I was just telling him that we'll call him when we're ready to be picked up and thanking him for agreeing to drive us around today."

I nod my head as we walk to the front counter. Erin tells them the appointment name and time and we're told to sit down for a few minutes. When the girl does call my name, Erin comes over and sits in a nearby chair.

"Alright, Erin mentioned you might want some blonde today?"

I happened to have a picture on my phone, so I pull it out. I've been wanting to get my hair done for months but I never have any money.

"Sweet! I pulled out all of the right supplies then," she smiles as she brushes through my hair lightly with her fingertips. "Let's do this."

After a few hours, my hair is blonde, trimmed, and curled. I'm absolutely in love with it when she's done. We'd talked with her the whole time she was doing my hair and turns out she grew up like twenty minutes from me. Such a small world.

Once we're done in the salon, Erin tells me we're doing some shopping before Harry picks us up. As she drags me into a store that I couldn't catch the name of, she turns to me.

"Oh. And I lied to you earlier. I wasn't telling Harry that we'd call him. He already knew that. I was however taking this from him," she holds up a credit card. "I have been instructed to find you a birthday dress that Harry will pay for and you don't have a choice in the matter."

I sigh and glare at her. I should have known they were up to something.

"Don't glare at me. He paid for your hair too."

"Erin!"

She giggles mischievously and takes my hand before she drags me over to the dresses. This store seemed expensive and I kinda wanted to cry. I hated when Harry did this stuff for me. He already brought my brother out to LA, which by itself probably cost more than I anything I could ever get for him.

"Come on. We're going to get our moneys worth out of this shopping spree, Kait. You're going to look hot as fuck and I will make sure of it."

"How I can hate you so much but still love you is so annoying."

She smiles at me and starts going through the rack in front of her. I knew I wasn't going to win so I didn't bother arguing any part of this. So instead, I look through the racks with her. I'm sent off to the dressing room after a few minutes with six dresses in hand. By the time I've narrowed it down to two, she's got four more for me.

I find a dress after about half an hour of being Erin's dress up doll. Despite my protests, she forces me to find some shoes too. Somehow she sneaks some jewelry in before we get to the register, meaning I can't fight her anymore. Just when I think we're done throwing Harry's money around for the day, she takes me to a nail salon around the corner. As much fun as I was having with her, I was very done with her dragging me around.

Finally, once our toenails and fingernails are both painted, I walk out of the salon to see Harry's car waiting for us across the street. Erin doesn't say anything as she climbs into the backseat, my dress and accessories with her in a bag. I go up to the drivers window and lean against the door as Harry rolls the window down.

"You suck and I'm breaking up with you."

He smirks. "Your hair looks wonderful. You look beautiful, love."

I very immaturely stick my tongue out at him before climbing into the back with Erin.

"Actually, I changed my mind. Both of you suck and I'm breaking up with both of you."

"Well you can break up with us all you want but you technically live with both of us so..." Erin smirks. "Be homeless. See if we care."

I can't help but laugh. I love them both so much. I hate that I wasn't allowed to pay for a single thing today, but I have to move on.

When Harry pulls the car into the school parking lot, this time he parks the car and gets out with us. Erin takes my bag and heads inside while Harry and I stop in front of the dorm building. I wrap my arms around him and cuddle up to his chest.

"In all seriousness, thank you. I'm very appreciative, even though I hated it every time she used your card."

"Why do you hate me spending money on you so much?"

"Because I can never return the favor," I mutter quietly with a pout, backing up so I can look at him. "I hate that I'm too broke to ever buy you anything. It makes me feel awful."

"Baby," he smiles slightly and pushes my hair over my shoulder. "I don't need anything from you other than you and your love. I buy you things because I can and because I want to. Not because I feel like I have to. You don't need to buy me anything. Ever."

I nod my head. "I know I don't need to. But it would be nice to be able to every now and then, ya know? Oh well. Thank you again for today. I've really got to get back to my homework though, otherwise I'll have to cancel my birthday plans tomorrow."

"Which you are not allowed to do," he looks at me pointedly. "Study away. I'll see you tomorrow."

I nod. "You're picking me up at five, right?"

"Correct. I love you. And I already said this, but I genuinely do love your hair. You look stunning, baby."

"Thanks," I smile at him and reach up to give him a kiss. "Love you. See you tomorrow when I'm 21."
