kaitlynnrose: happiest girl in the happiest place

comment by erinreilly: CUTE! have fun bb!

By the time we got to the park, it was nearly 10am. We don't even get inside the park before Maddy is taking my hand and dragging me into the World of Disney in the Downtown Disney area. I had on a pair of Minnie ears that Harry had given me with the tickets and I'm ninety-nine percent sure she wanted some too. The only time I've ever been to Disneyland was when I was eight, so I don't remember much. This store however, I do remember.

Maddy immediately starts grabbing things off the shelves and my dad starts telling her to put it all back. This situation leads to an argument between my dad and Harry, who is offering to buy Maddy and Aiden absolutely whatever they want. I knew this argument would happen, but I did not think it would happen this quickly.

"Dad, trust me, you will not win this. He doesn't listen."

My dad glares at me playfully and sighs. "Fine, but I will limit what you are allowed to buy them. You are not allowed to go around spending hundreds on my children."

"He already did, Dad," Aiden pipes up. "We're standing in Disneyland. We live in Texas."

"Dude, not helping," I laugh, giving him a small shove.

We get Maddy some sequined Minnie ears and a sequined Minnie backpack to match, but we all agree that we'll come back at the end of the day if anybody wants anything else. I tried showing my brother some things he might like but this really isn't his thing.

Once we're done in the store, we head into Disneyland first. As soon as we're in, we spot some of the main characters and decide to take pictures with them. We get a picture with Minnie, Goofy, and Pluto all before we get past the main circle of Main Street. We take group pictures and I make Harry take some with just us.

We wander around and go on a few rides. Before we find something to eat, it's decided that we're going on Splash Mountain. It's one of the longer lines and we've been waiting for about twenty minutes. I think we're halfway through but who knows. Harry is leaned against the railing, talking with my brother about his music stuff. He barely ever talks about it but I think he could tell that Aiden was really intrigued, so the conversation has been going on for a few minutes.

As I look at him, I feel so in awe. I love how well he gets along with my family. I love that he's so charming. I love that he's comfortable enough to be the real him and to talk about his music with my brother. He catches me looking and sends me a small smile.

"You alright?" He asks me quietly. I nod, giving him a smile. I step forward and wrap my arms around his torso, cuddling up to him happily. He presses a kiss to my head as he wraps his arms around me, before returning to the music conversation with Aiden.

Splash Mountain is an absolute blast and by the time we're off of the ride, all of us are practically soaked. Considering the heat that's been beating on us since the moment we stepped into the park, it felt quite refreshing. For lunch, we head over to California Adventure with the promise from Maddy that there are cones of mac and cheese somewhere over there. Aiden and I are super on board, my dad and Harry not so much.

Once we've eaten, we decide to go back over to Disneyland to walk around some of the buildings and shops to cool down and to rest our stomachs before we get on any more rides. As we head into a store, Harry grabs my hand and kisses my knuckles.

"Having fun so far?"

I give him a smile as I nod my head. "So much. Thank you for doing this. It means the world."

"Of course," he returns my smile and reaches over to give me a quick kiss.

"Ew!" Maddy and Aiden both yell from behind us.

"Stop," Aiden jokes. "You two are revolting."

I roll my eyes and laugh lightly.

"Maybe next time we come alone though," I tell Harry. He shrugs.

"I don't know, I reckon embarrassing your siblings with our affection seems quite fun."

"I think you and I have different ideas of fun, Harry."

He rolls his eyes and tugs me into his side, wrapping his arm around my shoulders before he kisses my temple. "Such a party pooper, Kait."

I find a Mickey Mouse denim jacket that I absolutely fall in love with and Harry buys it for me. Along with that, Aiden gets some pins.

We meet Mickey at his house and do some more rides. Before we head back over to California Adventure, we meet some of the Princesses upon Maddy's request. As we're waiting for Maddy to get her picture with Belle, Harry points out a little girl meeting Tiana not too far away. She's wearing a Tiana dress and a little crown and as she realizes it's her turn she runs over to Tiana with her arms wide open.

"Oh my god," I gasp. "I'm gonna cry. I'm straight up gonna cry in Disneyland. That is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life."

The little girl cuddles up to Tiana and Tiana crouches down to talk with her. The girl is so excited and appears to be talking her ear off.

"That's the princess from The Princess and the Frog, right?"

I turn at Harry and look at him a little dumbfounded. "When my family leaves we are having a Disney movie marathon. That shouldn't have been a question. You should one hundred percent know that it is without any ounce of doubt. I think you have to leave Disneyland now."

He laughs and shrugs his shoulders. "Don't really watch Disney movies in my free time, love. Only do that when you're over."

"Which is at least three nights a week," I point out. "But we don't watch that many movies. From this point on, that might change."

"Can we go back to talking about how cute that little girl is?"

Maddy takes her picture with Belle and I make Harry take a picture with me and Belle since we're already in the line. Once Maddy is satisfied with getting pictures, we head back over to California Adventure. Harry had gotten some dinner package that gave us reserved access to World of Color and we had to head to dinner before the dinner time cuts off.

We talk and talk throughout dinner. My dad asks about Harry's life in England and his family, which Harry happily talks about with him for most of dinner. By the end of dinner, Harry is telling my dad the best tourism spots and trying to convince him that he and my siblings should come visit with me over the summer. As expected, my dad tells him "maybe another time" to deny Harry from the idea of spending more money on my family.

Once it's time, we head to the area we need to be at to watch World of Color. I sit with Maddy on my right and Harry on my left. Harry swings his arm around me once I'm settled in my chair. I lean over and press my lips to his.

"Love you," Harry mutters before reconnecting the kiss. I keep it short due to my relatives being next to me.

"I love you too."

World of Color starts after about half an hour. Pixar Pier goes dark behind the water and the water lights up. As I'm cuddled up to Harry and watching the water and light show in front of me, a content sigh falls from my lips. I never in a million years imagined that I'd be in the situation where I would be taking a trip to Disneyland with my boyfriend and my family. I never thought I'd even be in a situation where my boyfriend would be around my family because for the longest time I didn't even think I'd ever talk to a guy enough to even get close with him. I don't know what I did to catch Harry's attention and I don't know what I did to deserve him, but I'm so thankful for having him.

I'm also thankful that he didn't make fun of me for crying during the end of World of Color. The show was the perfect way to wrap up the night. I can't wait for the next two days of this.
