Fair's Fair (a.k.a. Mr. President Pt.1)

A/N: I know there are always fair or amusement park scenes in these types of stories, ut I love them so much and I just couldn't help myself. I'm a cheesy romantic, after all.

As they walked the fairway, Dez's eyes sparkled under the lights of the games and rides, wide with giddy excitement. Tae and Kook were were slapping at each other playfully, bragging about who would end up winning more games before the night was over. Jin and Hobi were dragging Jimin left and right, showing him a new food booth or game or ride that they thought he would like. He looked a bit dizzy, but was laughing so hard Dez was surprised he could see through his adorably squinched eyes. As usual, her Calm Boys™ were right by her side, still laughing and thoroughly enjoying themselves, but Yoongi and Namjoon had their arms around Dez or were holding her hand or touching her in some way.

After just a few days, she had learned that this was how they showed how much they cared for her. Of all of the guys, they showed the least physical affection and skinship to the others, so she recognized that touching and holding her was something they did because it was special to them.

Watching the others, she thought about how they showed their affection in their own ways as well. If Tae played with you, spent time giving you attention, he cared. If Kookie and Hobi were quiet and serious, they were calming down their childish natures and giving love. Jimin and Jin were love. They were affectionate and kind at all times, with everyone, because they genuinely exuded love with everything they did. They both let her know expressly that they had special feelings that belonged only to her, but they had so much life inside of them that they couldn't help but spread rays of sunshine everywhere they went.

Dez felt tears prick her eyes, her heart swelling with the thought that each of these incredible men wanted her in some way. Like, who even was she to get so lucky? She wasn't the prettiest girl she knew, or the funniest, or even the smartest. She knew she was cute, silly, and witty...but was that enough to deserve so much? She was just an average girl with big dreams and an even bigger imagination, not anything special. She had stopped walking, trying to collect herself and just enjoy the moment, but Namjoon noticed some was wrong.

"Baby, are you crying?" he bent down to look her in the eyes as the other boys started to notice they had stopped behind them.

"I'm just....really happy right now," Dez confessed, looking up at the warm eyes surrounding her, "This is...wow...it's a lot. I don't understand how I deserve this." She wiped at her eyes so the tears couldn't fully escape and ruin her makeup.

"There's no one thing," Joon offered, kissing her on the cheek, "Maybe it's because we've all spent so much time together at work, or because we see bits of you that appeal to bits of us, or because it's written in the stars or some shit. I honestly don't know. I just know I want you...that we want you. Enough to make something complicated work into something simple. Enough that we all want to make you happy all the time, no matter what. It just....is."

"Let's not ask why," Jin said, pulling her hand to his lips, "Let's just be."

Dez took a few deep breaths to calm her turbulent emotions. She would probably run around in her own head, trying to figure this out later, but for now she wanted to do what Jin said. She just wanted to be here in the moment with her boys. She took a few more breaths, shaking her hands and shoulders out, before looking up at at them and smiling.

"Let's do it."

The guys all smiled, resuming their fun. Jeongguk picked her up and twirled her around in a hug, making her throw her head back and laugh, and he promised to win her every toy in the fair. That made Tae challenge him once again, and the two started their roughhousing anew. Jimin let go of Hobi, running up to grab Dez's hand with a heartwarming smile on his perfect lips.
