Liliana sighed as she walked towards the school. She felt like she ached all over and her head was pounding like it had never pounded before.
She made her way over to Missy, smiling at her best friend as she hugged her.
"Hey, how are you holding up?" She asked
"I told Miss Keane" Missy admitted
"You did what?" Liliana scoffed
"I needed a grand for the cremation, she wouldn't give it to me unless I told her what was going on" Missy said
Liliana sighed, rubbing her eyes as she blinked a couple of times, a wave of dizziness came over her.
"What's going on with you?" Missy asked
"Teachers set up a little meeting" Liliana scoffed "Claimed they're worried about me or something"
"Why are they worried?" Missy asked
"I don't know" Liliana lied
Missy ran off in Hayley's direction as Riz, Naveed and Cory walked over to Liliana, smiling at her.
"Why do you all have to be so tall?" She groaned
"I can't look down at you" Riz sighed "Stupid halo brace"
"Shame for you, i've been looking great these past few days" Liliana teased.
Liliana yawned, squinting her eyes shut as she tried to calm her pounding head. She took a deep breath, feeling like she could fall asleep at any point.
"Lil, everything okay?" Cory asked
"Uh, yeah" She nodded "I just don't feel too great"
"Lil, you're a horrible liar" Cory said
Liliana shrugged walking off towards the sixth form area where all the sixth formers had to go as they were receiving a pre-examination lecture from Mr Nawaz.
Liliana took a seat at the back of the room, trying her best to keep herself out of Miss Carter's eyesight. She tried hopelessly to listen to Sadiq, but her body decided against as her eyes were fluttering shut.
Liliana kept drinking her water, trying to keep herself awake as she saw Miss Carter walk towards her. The teacher leaned down, resting her hand on the chair behind her as she spoke to the student.
"Liliana, is everything okay?" Miss Carter asked
"I'm fine" Liliana said
"You haven't written anything down" Miss Carter whispered "This is so unlike you"
Liliana stood up, instantly walking out of the room as she slammed the door shut behind her.
Cory jumped up, running after her as she stopped in the corridor, falling to the floor.
Cory ran over, grabbing Liliana by the shoulders as Mr Bell appeared in front of him and Miss Carter stood behind him.
"She just collapsed" Cory swallowed thickly "I don't think she's been sleeping properly"
"Exhaustion" Miss Carter nodded "Call an ambulance"
Cory held her in his arms until the paramedics got there, taking her away for examination.
"She'll be home within a few hours" Miss Carter said "They just want to check everything is okay"
Cory nodded as he walked towards the sixth form room, immediately being bombarded with questions. He sighed, ignoring them all and walking over to where Riz and Naveed were sat.
He sighed, playing with the fabric on the chairs as his friends waited patiently for him to say something.
"She was exhausted" Cory frowned "She didn't want to be annoying or a burden on me so she didn't tell me"
"You need to make it clear that she is not a burden" Naveed said with a small smile
"Right, how do I do that?" Cory asked
"She passed out from lack of sleep, yeah?" Riz asked
"Yeah" Cory nodded
"Let her sleep at yours" Riz smiled "It'll help her realise how much you like her"

A knock at Cory's door made the boy jump up from his bed and run downstairs, swinging the door wide open. He grinned at his girlfriend, pecking her on the lips as he took her bag, placing it on the stairs.
He smiled at Anne Quinn, shaking her hand before she said a quick farewell to her daughter, and left without another word.
Cory dragged Liliana upstairs, throwing her pyjamas at her as she got changed and then climbed into bed, sighing as she got comfy.
"Cory, can we cuddle?" She asked
"Of course" Cory said.
He switched into jogging bottoms and a grey top, before climbing into bed with his girlfriend. He rested one arm under her head as the other drew patterns across her arm, and played with her hair.
"Go to sleep Lil, i'll be here when you wake up, okay?" Cory said
The brunette boy smiled to himself when Liliana's breaths evened out, showing she had finally fallen into a deep sleep as Cory did the same.
