Nothing happened.

You'd heard him creep to look under the bed,  but, nothing happened after that. His footsteps sauntered out of your room, splashed in the hall, and from what you could tell, out of the house. Sirens soon followed, you heard shouting, and you curled yourself tighter into a ball. You were alone in the darkness, in the blood. Still, you did not move, you could not move. The Green Man's laughter pierced your ears, but deep down you knew he was not really laughing.

The police had taped off the house as a crime scene, Kosuke Furasshu, your father and known Pro-Hero "Strobe" had been notified but wasn't on the scene yet. No one else had entered the house. Therefore, no one knew you were alive and experiencing true horrors beneath your bed, watching the blood soak deeper into the flooring and creep closer to you.

Your sister's arm began to twitch. You blinked fiercely, it couldn't be true. But there it was, pushing her bloodless and lifeless body from the floor. Throat slashed, and deep gashes covered her arms and chest. If you had known the term "overkill" you would've applied it here. Her corpse turned to face you. Her dead eyes stared into your soul and her figure began to claw itself closer to you.

"Your.... fault...." her voice croaked. Blood gurgled from her pale lips. The voice continued to repeat itself, "your fault, your fault" the volume increasing until you thought she was screaming in your face. And then it stopped.

You reopened your eyes. Her body hadn't moved. The blood was not moving at all. The house itself was silent, despite the chaos on the street. You heard your dad wailing outside, the door was slammed open.

"SIR YOU CANT GO IN THERE."

"FUCK OFF THIS IS MY FAMILY. THIS IS MY HOME." You heard him scream. He never sounded like that. Voice raw, distraught, thick, enraged. His feet pounded up the stairs and down the hall, he collapsed somewhere between the stairs and his bedroom.

"Two bodies, one teenage boy, the son Hikaru, and the wife, Yoko. There appears to have been a struggle and a subsequent blood-" "YOU DO NOT NEED TO DO THIS IN FRONT OF ME." Your father screamed at whoever had been recording the crime scene. You shivered deeper into yourself. Would anyone ever find you?

"Officer, there's more this way." Someone said, voice absolutely disconnected from reality. Another wail came from your father.

"Adolescent girl, similar scene to her brother. Daughter, Akio. No sign of the youngest daughter, Y/N. Age 5." You heard fast footsteps, and there, your father was in the doorway. You saw his feet, covered in blood. Oh how you wanted to call out to him, tell him you were there... but you couldn't move. You had become the shadows, and shadows were silent.

"Where's Y/N? Where's my BABY?" He cried in anguish, dropping to his knees. There was no blood to be found, other than the footsteps and smeared blood that had been taken from the hall into your room.

"Officer Anzo, please assist." You heard a bodiless voice command. Before you knew it, two hands reached under the bed and grabbed a hold of your hands, pulling you from the darkness and into the light.

"Here's your daughter. Congratulations, she has an absolutely perfect invisibility quirk." Officer Anzo handed you back to your father, who was astounded to feel you quaking in his arms, but not be able to see or hear you,

"Y/N, Y/N! It's ALRIGHT"

And you bolted awake in your bed. Aizawa stood next to you, a worried look on his tired face. You'd been dreaming again. Reliving the worst night of your life. This hadn't happened in three years, you sighed.

"Thank you Shota." You whispered, silently asking him to crawl into bed with you. He obliged immediately, manipulating your body so that you were fully in his arms, he could rub your back and pet your hair.

"That mission must've done a number on you Y/N. But don't worry, I'm here for you. We all are. You won't be forgotten, you won't be alone ever again. You're powerful. Your father loves you. You're going to see him later this week." He continued to whisper reassuring words into your ear, rubbing your back in small circles. You laid back into him, ending the comforting back rub, his arms encircled your waist protectively.

"Shota, it was that night again. Except... it was almost real. It was the dream within the dream. The hallucinations were exactly the same as that night too... it felt... so real. Please don't leave me alone tonight?" Your words got quieter and quieter. You were disappearing into yourself. He couldn't allow that.

"Here, Y/N, I'm going to carry you to the living room. I will make us some tea, and we can lay on the couch like we would at UA with everyone. Ok?" You nodded and he slipped from the bed, pulling you delicately into his arms, he carried You bridal style to the couch, once again being extra delicate with you, as if you might break. He tucked in your feet with your blanket and started to speed steel chamomile tea.

"Y/N, should we go to your therapist tomorrow?"

"Yes, will you come with me?" He always used to accompany you to your therapist, until he got busy, and you grew to be independent. Aizawa had become your protector for a while, it was only natural, he was the only one who could turn you visible again when you were frightened. Your bond had been incredibly tight, but now that you both were adults, it was difficult to maintain such a specifically dependent relationship without it becoming romantic. So the two of you created boundaries, out of respect.

The only issue was, whenever the terrors would return or you would get injured, Shota would tear those boundaries down, but would never allow for the reverse to happen. You allowed it for now, but bookmarked that to be a topic for a later date.

"Y/N, of course I'll go with you. Now, lean forward I'm coming in hot with tea and back rubs." He slid behind you, gracefully handing you a mug and simultaneously wrapping you up with his arms.

Within minutes, you were drifting back to sleep. Aizawa had taken your mug, and was falling asleep as well, but was conscious enough to know he needed another blanket for you. Pulling his blanket down and around you both, the two of you slept soundly, no murderous memories could leave you alone anymore tonight.
