When Ly'ra arrived near Dameron's room, she hesitated a bit before knocking, but she needed to talk about it as much as he needed to hear what she had to say, so she went for it. The door slid opened few seconds after on... No-one? The young woman frowned before being welcome by two little enthusiast beeps. She then looked down and offered a smile to her host.
"Hi BB8... What are you doing here?"
The droid rolled back, allowing his former owner to step inside the room, and let out few beeps and whistles. Nodding softly, Ly'ra turned to face him, taking a deep breath.
"Okay, I hope he won't be long..."
BB8 rolled away, letting the young pilot to make herself comfortable. She removed her long black coat and left it on the table near the entrance before sitting on the bed. Almost unwillingly, memories from the only time she went into this room came back to her as she was softly caressing the blanket. Oddly enough, this period of her life seemed easier. She closed her eyes as a small smile appeared on her face. The first thing she remembered everytime was Poe's face, his smile and his eyes. Then, the softness of his hands and the warmth of his kisses...
"Ly'ra?"
Suddenly coming back to real life, the young woman opened her eyes, biting her lower lip while praying to not blush as she was facing the pilot who just came in the room.
"Erm... Yes? I mean... We were supposed to... Well..."
She cleared her throat and couldn't hold back an embarassed smile in front of Poe's amused look. Dameron let the door closed behind him with a muffled sound before stepping closer to the young woman. He kneeled down and softly caressed her cheek, suddenly serious again. He knew why she was here, and he had no intention to let her go and ruin his chances to have to clear conversation with her.
"Gimme a second, I'm gonna change. Get yourself comfortable... Oh but not too much okay?"
With a small wink and a smirk, he stood up and disappeared in his bathroom right in front of the bed. Ly'ra held back a laugh, shaking softly her head. She nevertheless removed her boots and sat cross-legged on the bed, trying to find how she could tell him what he wanted to know. Even herself wasn't too sure to understand what was going on with her.
Just three minutes later, Poe had left his pilot's uniform and put on a military trousers and a beige shirt. Ly'ra noticed at this moment that he had definitively adopted the clothing style she had forced upon him during their mission on Affavan and she couldn't hold back a tender smile. If he saw it, the pilot didn't say a thing about it and came to sit next to her, gently taking her hand to encourage her.
"Okay... We won't be bothered here. Tell me... What's going on Ly'ra? I saw that you had a fight with Dante. I thought he was one of your best friend?"
Hearing her mentor's name, Ly'ra looked away and sighed.
"It's... Complicated... I..."
"No please, don't tell me it's complicated!"
Ly'ra arched a brow, fixing Poe with her green eyes and went on:
"What I was about to say was I'd better start from the beginning or else you won't understand a thing..."
Blushing slightly, Dameron nodded.
"Sorry..."
Taking a deep breath, and shaking slightly, Ly'ra then started:
"After we left D'Qar few months ago, Dante, Bango, myself and all the others, we had been forced to hide. We went almost everywhere, and after a while, we thought it would be better if we split into smaller groups so we wouldn't be noticed. I stayed with Bango and Dante and the others left on their own. We went on Tatooine, Coruscant... We even went back on Affavan! And then we... We were hunted down by the First Order and we ended up landing on a planet in the Outer Rim, in the Quelii system. Dante didn't want to go there, but his ship needed to be fixed and we couldn't go any further anyway."
