Coruscant, 21 b BY.
The City-planet, the center of the Galaxy, the Capital of the Republic. The Jewel of the Core Worlds, with its Opera, its beautiful buildings, some high with several kilometers, its Galactic Senate and its Jedi Temple.
Lyra Erso didn't come back here since her wedding with Galen few years ago. More or less well seated in the Star Tour Shuttle she took after having left her husband and daughter in the small apartment they would live in during few more days, the young woman looked down on her precious pack. Softly moving away the cover, Lyra couldn't hold back a little smile at the sight of the baby who was babbling in her arms. The little boy's birth wasn't planned, even less after less than a year after Jyn's birth, but Lyra and Galen were still very happy.
"Next stop: the Jedi Temple. Arrival at the Galactic Senate in thirteen minutes."
The robotic voice announcing the Shuttle next stops made the young woman jump slightly, even more when the different translations in the main languages of the Galaxy followed. Lyra rubbed her eyes with a hand, trying to hide all traces of fatigue, in vain. Her nights with two babies were short. Hardly holding back a yawn, the young mother stood up before leaving the ship. She then stopped in front of the high building topped by its five caracteristic towers. How did she end up here? Simply because of a Jedi and a bad weather. The Ersos had welcome him a night where rain was heavily falling. He then noticed that the baby, born just few weeks ago, had a strong connection with the Force. Their son could become a Jedi.
As she was stepping in the Temple, looking around her, Lyra felt intimidated, almost scared. She was about to turn around and leave when a voice called her out.
"Mrs. Erso? Hello! Do you remember me?"
The young woman turned and faced the Jedi she met few weeks ago. She nodded softly, suddenly feeling shy.
"I remember you Master Kenobi. I'm happy to see you again."
Obi-Wan let out a large and friendly smile, joining his hands in front of him.
"The pleasure is mine, believe me. I can guess it's not something easy for you and I really want to reassure you. I'll show you around and explain everything you want to know. I also would like to say that you're taking the right decision. Your husband isn't here?"
Lyra tightened her hold around her child, shaking her head.
"Erm, no. He's with our daughter. Jyn is still very young."
"I understand. Everything will be fine Madam. You have my word. Trust the Force. Even if I guess it's a very difficult moment for you."
Obi-Wan offered a smile he hoped was reassuring. It was never easy for the families to give their new borns to perfect strangers. Even if they were Jedis, it was still a heartbreaking moment. He looked his blue eyes on the young woman hearing her question.
"Are you the one who will train him?"
Kenobi shrugged a shoulder, his smile never leaving his features.
"It would be an honor. But he'll first follow the classes of very important Jedi Masters. And for now I already have an apprentice, but in few years, maybe?"
He then stepped closer to the baby who was fussing in his mother's arms. The young woman kissed her son before handing him over to Obi-Wan, trying with all her strengths to hold back her tears.
"Everything will be fine Sweetheart. Mummy loves you very very much. You'll be happy here, and you'll become a Jedi my Love. A great Jedi Knight. And I'm sure we'll see each other again one day... Goodbye..."
