Lily woke up very early Christmas morning. She felt the need to thank Severus, to please him, no matter how angry he made her sometimes. She cooked eggs and pancakes, then cut out snowflakes and got them to stick to the living room ceiling. She then prepared the present she had made for Severus, and hid it under the couch. After she looked around, searching for something else to do, Lily then felt a gust of the cold winter air, realizing that her father's house was rather cold. She managed to find a blanket, which was a dark brown color and soft, then wrapped herself in it and curled up on the couch.

Lily ended up closing her eyes for a few minutes, not taking notice to Severus, who walked in and looked around at the food and decorations, with a rather grateful and surprised expression.

"Liliana?" He asked. Lily jumped and her eyes shot open, then realized that it was nothing to worry about, so she relaxed. She stood up and tossed the blanket onto the couch, then sat herself down at the table, ready to eat. Severus joined her, but didn't quite begin eating.

"Did you do all of this?" He asked, and Lily gave him a sarcastic smile. "No, Voldemort did." She joked, but Severus was not amused.

"LILIANA STAR SNAPE! I DON'T KNOW WHERE YOU GOT THAT FROM, BUT YOU'D BETTER-"

"Merlin's beard, Severus! Didn't know I pulled a string there, it's just I talk about him a lot with Harry since I don't fear his name unlike his other friends, because unlike what everyone else seems to think, I know for a fact that Voldy's dead." Lily said, shoveling eggs into her mouth.

"Liliana! I'm shocked, and appalled, and if there is one thing we don't do in this house, it is speaking the Dark Lords name. You must know what he's done, of course!" Severus said, after choking on his water.

"I've read plenty about what he's done, and to be honest, it'd give me no greater pleasure then to Crucio him to death after what he did to Harry's parents-" Snape choked on his water once again. He was clearly baffled, and clearly not expecting to have this conversation with his daughter.

"LILIANA! End of discussion!" He snapped.

Lily put her hands up in defense. "Did you like my snowflakes? I thought they'd bring a little light to the house- ya know, since your house kinda gives me depression." She said, then took a large sip of water.

"You're awfully mouthy today. Weren't you ever taught what to say and what not to say?" Severus asked. Lily sighed, furrowed her eyebrows together, and rolled her eyes. "I'm trying to take to more confident approach to life. Say what's on my mind, push aside my feelings, just convince everyone else I'm fine, ya know?" Lily admitted.

"About how many times did you get anxious throughout that whole conversation?" Severus asked in a lighter tone. "From start to finish." Lily mumbled, and rested her chin on the table in embarrassment. "Clearly, confidence isn't my thing." Lily frowned dejectedly, and Snape's eyes softened slightly, seeing some of himself in his daughter.

"Merry Christmas." He said, which caused Lily to half-smile. "Merry Christmas, Dad." She responded, but whispered the last part so quietly that Snape didn't hear.

"I made you something." Lily said, finishing her breakfast. Snape was glad that he'd gotten Lily something while she was napping, because of not, he wouldn't quite feel like the father of the year.

She stood up, putting her plate in the sink, before reaching under the couch and swiftly hiding her hand-made present behind her back. She gleefully walked over to Severus, and put the gift in front of his plate, then sat back down in her chair, waiting nervously at his reaction. He looked through the pages silently, with unreadable emotions on her face.

Lily had put a note on the first page, expressing her thanks and gratefulness to her father, and wishing him a Happy Christmas. The rest of the pages were filled with her completed drawings that she'd been making day-to-day, each including her and Severus. For example, there was them in potions class, then at home, then being glum, joyful, them with Malfoy, Blaise, Pansy, Daphne, and Rosemary, and them with Harry, Hermione, and Ron - which seemed to be Snape's least favorite. Severus for some reason felt a strange attachment to the artwork, but refused to accept that it was because his daughter had made it.

"I know it probably sucks, because I'm not that good, and you're probably really underwhelmed, but I wasn't exactly aloud to leave the house and get something, and I-"

"I love it, Liliana."

"Oh- actually?"

"Yes"

"Thanks"

"I'll be getting your gift now."

"Oh, you got me a gift! Well I mean thanks, just you didn't have to-"

"Hush."

"Okay sorry."

Snape left the room, returning with a small box behind his back. He presented it in front of Lily, who, (looking at Severus for permission), opened to box, found a silver necklace at the bottom. She picked it up, examining it, and found two charms at the bottom. One was small, green, snake-shaped, and said, 'Slytherin,' in tiny font across it. The other was small, circular, silver, and had the initials 'L.S.' on it. L.S could me mistaken for either Lily Star, or Lily Snape.

"I didn't quite know what a female your age would want, so I chose this." Severus awkwardly said. Lily smiled bright, then turned around and wrapped her arms around Snape.

"Thank you so much! I've never gotten a better Christmas present." She mumbled. From her hugging position, Lily couldn't see the small smile that came to Severus's lips as he put one arm on his daughters back.

Holy shit. Guys. I'm LAUGHING. I managed to make a chapter EVEN shittier then the last one. I think it's because I'm realllyy excited for the next chapter. I guess this chapter was to kinda strengthen Lily and Snape's relationship, for it to be ruINED next chapter. Oops. Well anyways, lots of apologies for this short shitty chapter.
