The night that Lily felt the ultimate betrayal from Severus, was the same night she'd manage to sneak into the Gryffindor common room. A bunch of Slytherins pushed her over when she'd tried to get into the Slytherin dungeons, so Lily had ran to where she'd dropped off Ron, Hermione, and Harry many times, by the portrait of the fat lady, where she'd encountered a giggling Gryffindor 6th-year girl with a 7th year boy.
"I-I really need to get into the common room." Lily stated, with as much confidence as she could muster. Lily was afraid her eyes would tear up if she'd spent another second without a friend.
In fact, her head was pounding from holding in her sadness, trying not to cry. She barely registered when the 7th-year boy laughed and allowed her in, because "She was on Gryffindor's side."
Lily bit her tongue to refrain from crying as she entered the Gryffindor common room, and instantly felt how significantly warmer it was from the Slytherin common room. It was packed with Gryffindors who were all having exciting conversations, not quite ready to sleep yet after their big meal. She looked over to some chairs by a fireplace, to see Harry, Ron, and Hermione, in deep conversation, yet with smiles on their faces.
Lily immediately ran over to her friends, who looked very shocked to see her in the Gryffindor common room.
She could feel her eyes beginning to well up with tears, but with her head pounding, she quickly swallowed them back with lots of pain.
She was about to speak, when she realized that Harry and Ron didn't know about Severus being her father. The thought of Severus not wanting people to know made Lily immediately want to tell them, so she quickly asked them to move somewhere quieter.
There was an unoccupied corner of the room, where Lily dragged them all, and they all sat down on the floor.
"H-Harry, R-Ron, please don't ask questions, I'll explain as much as I can now but I have more important things to discuss, things that happened that I-I need to talk about." Lily said, with her heart aching, suddenly feeling very exposed and very broken.
"Snape's my biological father. Hermione found out, but we're not telling anyone. I stayed with him over the Holiday and stuff. Well, anyways, the point is-"
"WHAT?!" Ron yelled, earning a few curious looks from others around.
"Shush, Ron!" Hermione scolded, but both him and Harry still looked just as shocked.
"It's no big deal- really. The point is, we got into this big fight and he used the Legilimency spell on me and me found out about everything I've been through, which you guys don't know, because I don't want people to know, but I hate him, I hate him so much." Lily began now having to dig her nails into her thighs to stop herself from crying.
"Oh, Lily," Hermione sympathized, then pulled Lily to her for a hug, which just made Lily want to cry even more. She was in so many levels of pain, that she knew crying would make her feel better, yet still refused.

That same night, after Snape scolded himself for about an hour and a half, he was instructed to move the Mirror of Erised.
That same night, it wasn't just Lily Evans Snape was standing with in the mirror. Between them, was the second Lily he'd lost so quickly, with her arm around both Snape and Evans, and his own arm around her. That night, was one of the first nights since Halloween, 1981, where Severus felt true sadness.

Yeah so this is the shortest chapter I'll ever write, but I wanted this as a lil guy to transition from the intense last chapter, to the reactions, back to the story and such.
Hope you liked it?
