"Lily, you've skipped Potions for the past week. As much as I understand your reasoning, I think it's best that you go in today." Hermione suggested cautiously to Lily.

Lily has been miserably avoiding Snape, and miserably avoiding the Slytherins, who sent her death glares every chance they got. The only plus side of the situation, was the new friends Lily had made. Seamus, Dean, Neville, and the Weasley twins were people who Lily liked to speak to on a regular basis. Especially Fred and George, who were just about the only people who could make Lily smile these days.

The bags under her eyes had grown large and dark from lack of sleep and all the nightmares, and Lily found that her hair was disgustingly greasy and unbrushed.

"I guess." Lily muttered. Hermione gave her a smile, and Ron and Harry gave her a pat on the back.

"You know, I think you're right. Snape is evil, I bet he's the one behind whatever you guys have been plotting. He's heartless." Lily agreed, as she walked towards the Potions room, and Ron was just about to enthusiastically agree, when Hermione shook her head lightly to stop him.

Lily stood outside the Potions classroom door, sighing and rolling her eyes, when she felt a hand, larger then her friends' hands, on her shoulder.

"Why the long face, Lils?" A familiar voice asked. She turned around to make eye contact with Fred then George Weasley.

"Seriously, won't you tell us while your so miserable already?" George asked, then fake-pouted.

"Each day the resemblance of you looking like Snape gets more real. Greasy black hair, miserable expression, like someone just shot your owl." Fred added, not knowing about the blood-relationship between Lily and Severus.

"Glad to know I look like the unfeeling prick." Lily responded, then got ushered into the classroom by a group of first years desperately trying not to be late to Potions.

She took her seat, which was next to Pansy (who Lily hadn't spoken to for a week,) and felt so uncomfortable that she'd considered taking a potion of death in the moment. She probably would have, if it had been right in from of her.

Snape entered the room, looking surprised to see Lily in his classroom. He hadn't marked her absent for the week, knowing that she had valid reasons for not attending class, and wanting to do his daughter a favor.

He gave her a small nod, and she looked away, memories of their last moments spent together flooding her mind. Lily's horrible mood only got worse, as she now felt annoyed too.

"We will be working on a special potion today, in groups of four," Severus began, and Lily felt some hope that she was able to partner up with Harry, Ron, and Hermione. "You and your current partner must find another pair, and you will find the directions to your potion at the front desk, as I will be in and out of the classroom, with business to attend to." Lily's hope deflated, as she realized that Pansy was definitely gonna drag her to a group of her Slytherin ex-friends.

She was right, when Pansy stood up and began walking towards Malfoy and Goyle's table. Lily has no choice to follow, and only got more annoyed when someone accidentally bumped into her shoulder.

I'll fucking rip out your throat and eat it. She thought, as she passed by the person.

A girl stepped on her foot on accident, and more disturbingly angry thoughts crossed Lily mind.

I'll beat you to a fucking pulp and feed you as soup to your damn friends.

She rolled her eyes as she sat across from Draco and next to Pansy, and diagonal from Goyle.

"Oh look, the traitor herself. Where have you been sleeping, grease-ball? The Gryffindor common room? As bad as a mudblood she is, just foul." Draco scoffed, and Lily slammed her fist down on the table.

"Oh shove off and go get your dark-mark, Malfoy." Lily argued, earning a shocked look from her peers. Draco looked offended, upset, appalled, and enraged.

"Oh, go cry about your issues to your parents will you? Just like the Slytherin house, they didn't want you." Draco retorted.

"I didn't mean to, you ugly git. I was fine with being a Slytherin, I even liked it, being around all you, who were my friends!" The class was rather silent, listening to their argument, the only other sound being the whispers of their peers.

"You think I haven't missed you? Your think I've enjoyed being neglected and pushed and hexed by my own house? Well you thought wrong, okay?! Are you happy? Because I'm not, and I miss you Pansy, Blaise, and Daphney, Rose, and and even a little bit you you stupid blonde prat, so stop being gits and just forgive me for accidentally starting a false rumor about myself!" Lily yelled, then stood up from her seat. She was thankful that Snape had left the classroom briefly.

"I hate you stupid assholes." Lily mumbled, then her head started pounding with the need to cry once again. She left the room, and physically bumped into the one person she wanted to see the least.

"Are you okay, Lily?" Severus said in a rather kind tone.

"No, I wanna go back to the Slytherin dorms and I want them to forgive me, and I want a new father!" Lily yelled, then continued storming off.

A physical pang of sadness hit Snape right in the chest, and pain he never thought he'd have to feel again.

He let out a shaky breath, closed his mouth, and quickly walked back into the room.

-

I need to fix this- Pansy, Draco, Blaise, Harry, Ron, Hermione, and Severus Snape all thought at the same time.

-

Lily wasn't crying, oh no, she wouldn't do that. What she was doing, though, was itching her eyes to prevent herself from crying. It made her happy that she hadn't cried, yet made her angry that her first year at Hogwarts was the first time she'd wanted to cry in years.

A certain red-headed boy walked around the corner, eyes widening at the sight of his friend.

"Lily?" Fred asked. "Are you alright?"

Lily immediately pulled him into a hug, which caused him to wrap his arms around her a few seconds after.

"I hate everyone. One more issue and I swear I'll pitch myself off the astronomy tower. My life is and has always been, absolutely shit." Lily complained, and felt her throat get tight. Fred gave a light chuckle, and pulled away from Lily. Lily didn't even blink, looking straight into Fred's eyes.

"I'm serious." she said, and crossed her arms, frowning. Fred gave a small frown, then his lips quickly flickered back to the usual smile.

"If you were to pitch yourself off the astronomy tower, then I'd have to jump after you, and I dot particularly want to die, so that's not an option." He replied.

"Fine. Honestly, with all this Slytherin and Gryffindor drama, I might just start wearing Hufflepuff robes and call it a day." Lily chuckled. Fred laughed. "Why not Ravenclaw?" He asked. Lily gave him a smirk.

"Do you honestly think I have half the brains to be a Ravenclaw? Sometimes I think I'm almost as stupid as you, Fred Weasley."
