Lucious Malfoy. Very sneaky, very mysterious. That was all that Lily knew about him, and that he was a dick to Draco. She crossed an empty hallway and saw unpleasant treatment.
"Walk faster." Lucious snarled, and hit Draco on the back. Draco leaped. "Ouch Father!" Draco exclaimed, before Lily immediately turned around into a separate hallway.
In fact, it was just before the quidditch game, when Lily saw another enraging act.
"Draco, find out everything you can about that beastly Harry Potter, or sleep in the doghouse when you come home for the summer." Lucious whispered, not knowing that Lily was close behind them.
"I'm sorry, I'll find ways to do that without sacrificing my friendships next time, thank you." Draco said with slight attitude, referring to Lily.
Lucious snarled back over to draco, hitting him hard in the shin with his cane, before Draco let out the slightest whimper."Mr. Malfoy, I thought that cane was a wand,
not a tool used to hurt you son. Or is it both?" Lily found herself saying. She immediately regretted it, she just felt sympathy for Draco, knowing how it feels to be in his place."What did you just say to me, twisted young girl?" Lucious squinted at Lily.
"I s-said, leave your son alone or i'll h-hex you." She stuttered out, knowing very well that she wasn't great at hexes. Draco looked extremely worried.
In fact, it almost looked like Lucious was getting out his wand, before a deep, slow voice erupted the tension.
"Trouble, Lucious?" Snape asked, standing directly behind Lily. Lucious glances between the two, trying to put the feeling together that they looked so similar in that moment. He looked between the two once more, before smirking, finding anything to accuse people of.
"Yes, it appears your student, I believe, unless there's an explanation to the miserable eyes you both share, decided to try and tell me how to father my own child." Snape's face didn't change a single emotion.
"I must apologize for the foolishness, of this young student for saying that. Although her eyes aren't miserable, Lucious, and She can form her own opinions." snape retored.
Draco and Lily looked at each other, shocked.
"Run along, kids, so I can finish this conversation with Severus." Lucious started, without taking his eyes off of Snape. Lily gave her father a thankful glance before Draco grabbed her hand and pulled her away.
Once they reached a quiet area, behind curtains where no one seemed to be, Draco pulled Lily into a tight hug. He immediately pulled away, and straightened out his robes.
"Sorry. I've missed you- well, thank you." Draco said, yet not quite knowing what to say.
"Oh i've missed you too, Draco, I just can't help but be upset at what you did."
"I don't tell many people this, Lil, but not everything I do is because I want to. Now, can we please just be friends again?" He asked. "Yes." Lily said with a small smile. she was beginning to think she might just forgive Severus Snape, just slightly.
