Potions class was exciting, because Lily's skill made it easy for her to excel in the class. So heading to potions was one of Lily's favorite parts of the day. Slytherins and Gryffindors. What worse combination for potions class could there be? But as annoying as that was, Professor Snape began naming random people to be partners.
"Liliana Star and Draco Malfoy."
Of course. Snapes two favorite students, always partnered together. They were both rather intelligent too, so always getting top marks, along with Hermione Granger.
Draco dragged Lily to a seat that he found fitting, and spoke quietly to her as the others got their partners.
"Pansy Parkinson and Hermione Granger."
"This'll be fun." Lily mumbled sarcastically,
looking as the two girls who despised each other were partners."Guess what." Draco began in a loud, cocky voice. Lily laughed and rolled her eyes, already knowing that Draco was about to brag about something.
"I'm the new Seeker for the Slytherin quidditch team." He boasted, quieter this time.
"B-But tryouts haven't even happened yet! I'm actually pretty skilled on a broom, maybe i'll just decide i'm on the team too." Lily joked.
"Not funny, I didn't just decide I was on the team, my father bought the Nimbus Two-Thousand-Two, guaranteeing me a spot on the team. Plus, I can definitely fly faster then Potter, because i'm Pureblood." He bragged.
Snape began his lesson as they continued whispering to each other quietly.
Lily scoffed. "How does being Pureblooded make you fly faster? Harry's pretty fast himself as a Half-blood, I wouldn't be too sure." She replied.
"I have more magic to power the broom, obviously. That's what Father tells me." He replied, clearly not knowing anything about how blood status doesn't affect your ability to ride on a broom.
"You're wrong, Draco." She argued.
"Alright then, let's see you try to beat me in a race, half blood. you'll be half as fast." Draco insulted.
"I don't know my blood status you blonde prick, my father doesn't talk about my mother." She replied in an angry whisper. Draco was about to say something, then paused. His eyes looked at her suspiciously, and the corner of his mouth widened into a smirk.
"You said your parents were both murdered when you were a baby." He whispered.
"Star, Malfoy, why don't you share with the class what is so much more important then my lesson." Snapes slow voice called. They both froze and turned to their Professor.
"Lily's being a liar."
"Draco's being a dumb prat."
Ron Weasley chucked at her statement from his seat near Harry.
"I will tolerate no talking or interruption during my class. Let that be a warning." He warned. then continued his lesson.

Dinner time was always eventful, as the students were full of stories and energy from the day
Pansy, just having her free period, strutted in, her jawline length hair and bangs in small curls. She said nothing, but twirled then around in her fingers and made odd faces.
"God Pansy, stop fishing for compliments." Blaise joked.
"I'll stop fishing when the hook picks one up." She replied, crossing her arms.
"You look beautiful with curled hair, Pansy Parkinson." Blaise said in a joking tone. Pansy blushed and shook her head for her curls to bounce.
"Thank you very much, Blaise Zambini." She laughed. and three a cherry up in the air at him, and he caught it in his mouth.
"Get a room." Rosemary joked.
"I'll be right back." Lily said, then walked over to the Gryffindor table. The news that Ron and Harry had flew a car to Hogwarts was being talked about everywhere, so she snuck up behind Ron and Harry, hitting them in the back of the head.
"Ouch!" They yelled, holding the back of their heads, but then turned around and smiled when they say Lily.
"Flying a car to Hogwarts? So stupid, yet so epic!" She said with a laugh at the end.
"I agree with the stupid part." Hermione said.
"I've missed you guys so much, sorry I couldn't sleepover Ron, you know how Snape is." She whispered.
"Boy, do I." He said with wide eyes.
"Oh! One second, i've got to talk to Fred and George.
As she approached them, their conversation stopped and they smiled up at her. She high-fived them each with a proud smile.
"Nice prank on my house today. Entertaining to see Draco's perfect hair go crazy." She congratulated.
"Well, we couldn't start a new year in Hogwarts off dull, could we?" George laughed. Lily looked up, and saw Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle doing their famous disgusted faces at Lily. Pansy and the others weren't in the position to see where she was.
"Ugh, bipolar prat." Lily mumbled under her breath, referring to Draco.
"It's Draco Malfoy, we're shocked he's even nice to you some of the time." Fred said, knowing what she was talking about, and Lily shrugged as if to agree.
"Hey, thanks for not messing up my hair. How'd you do that, anyways?" She asked. Fred and George looked at each other with a mischievous smile.
"We cant reveal our secrets just yet, Star." They said in union.
"Well alright then, I better get back to the Slytherin, before they collectively decide to ignore me again." She sighed.
