Yeah.

Yeah. I had a spur of motivation.
They needed to hide.
However there was no way in hell uses religious language despite being an atheist and hopes i don't offend anyone
They were going to abandon Roman.
Espicialy not now after he'd learned the truth.
No way.
He'd die.
But he wasn't moving.
He was no longer on fire, but now due to shock, it seemed he was made of concrete.
So surprising everyone (including himself) Virgil picked him up bridal style.
Despite Roman being bigger then him, and the fact that Virgil was built like a wisp, it worked (he was subconsciously bending the shadows, but they didn't know that).
They ran.
And ran.
And ran.
Eventually they could no longer hear sirens.
Virgil couldn't hear anything except his own heartbeat whenever he looked at the shocked boy in his arms, but that was a problem for later.
They needed to hide for now.
