They ducked out quack of the alley and into the nearby church.
Although by day its arches and statues were beautiful, the dark of night gave it all a threatning vibe.
As if it was speaking to them...
"Freaks, abominations, monsters, you are not welcome here"
However a building has little say in who inhabits it.
Virgil set roman down on a pew and tried to look like he wasn't staring at him.
"Is there anything you can do to help him morality?"
Asked logan.
Logan, patton mused, not logic... logan.
Somehow he had fallen for the smart boy even more.
Logan was the perfect name for him.
He realised he was yet to answer the question...
Opps.
He blushed and answered
"I can try to calm him down but I make no promises. He's in a state of utter panic, if there's no calmness to work with I can't do a lot... sorry Lo."
Despite the dire situation logan blushed at the nickname.
He shook it off, glad that the shadows concealed his red face.
He wasn't special, Patton— Morality, he reminded himself — had nicknames for everyone.
"You did nothing wrong morality, I believe if you hadn't done what you did ... we'd all be charcoal so don't apologise.
But, if its no trouble ... roman is a hindrance in this state, so please try."
Virgil moved out of his way and slunk off into the shadows.
He somehow managed to climb one of the arches and sat down next to a sneering gargoyle.
No respect *tuts* but hella angst
He put both his hands on Romans shoulders and searched for any amount of calmness in the red head.
Nothing.
Nada.
Zilch — WAIT
It was tiny, but there... a single calm thought.
He breathed out and magnified it.
Roman slowly calmed down.
His breathing evened out, and gradually came back to life.
He still didn't have anything to say, but he hugged patton back, and (though he'd later deny it) began to cry.
His entire life was a lie, he'd been working for the villains the whole time.
He'd tried to attack these boys, when all they had done was try to save him.
He was a monster— a dragon, no, a witch... a dragon witch.
He pulled away from the boy holding him and forced himself to smile.
"Thank you"
He wispered, his voice horse from crying.
Cardigan boy smiled, nodded and told him
"Anytime"Roman tried to ignore the feeling like someone was glaring knives at him.
He turned to see specks — logan, glaring at him.
He wondered why.Logan wasn't jealous, what are you talking about?
He knew he had no right to feel jealous, he'd just met morality, but a terrible, guilty part of him wished he could hug patton — Morality damit — instead of roman.Virgil booped a gargoyle on the nose, unable to see the others and unaware of what was happening bellow him.
He hoped roman was ok.Roman decided he wanted to talk to one of them, they'd saved his life after all ... but who to talk to?
CHOOSE
