Girl up top is Wally's sister Willow, I keep meaning to put it and then forgetting

Wally sighed as he walked backstage with his girlfriend. The thoughts she has had been getting worse, even with antidepressants. She was miserable most of the time, and her father and ex clouded most of her thoughts. She had switched meds, but they weren't really doing anything. Of course, it'd only been a couple weeks. They had had to stop the first meds because she got the suicidal thoughts side effect.

"It's alright, Baby, I promise," He assured her.

"I feel like crap."

"I know, but you can't let it distract you. I'm sorry about it, but you have to focus right now, ok, Arty?"

"Ok," She whispered.

"Atta girl," Wally said, earning a small smile.

Soon they were onstage, and a few songs went by and then Wally was singing a song of his own.

Song: Broken Angel by Boyce Avenue (I saw the video months ago, no way was I gonna not put it. I've used it before. In my very first oneshot, AKA, the very first thing I published)

"You showed him all the best of you. But I'm afraid your best wasn't good enough. And know he never wanted you, at least not the way you wanted yourself to be loved. And you feel like you were a mistake. He's not worth all those tears that won't go away.

I wish you could see that. Still you try to impress him, but he never will listen.

Oh broken angel, were you sad when he crushed all your dreams? Oh broken angel, inside your dying cause you can't believe.

And now you've grown up with this notion that you were to blame. And you seem so strong sometimes, but I know that you still feel the same as that little girl who shined like an angel, even after his lazy heart put you through hell.

I wish you could see that. Still you try to impress him, but he never will listen.

Oh broken angel, were you sad when he crushed all your dreams? Oh broken angel, inside your dying cause you can't believe he would leave you alone and leave you so cold, when you were his daughter.

But the blood in your veins, as you carry his name turns thinner than water. You're just a broken angel. Broken angel. Oh, you're just a broken angel. Oh, angel.

And I promise that it's not your fault. It was never your fault. And I promise that it's not your fault. It was never your fault.

Oh broken angel, were you sad when he crushed all your dreams? Oh broken angel, inside your dying cause you can't believe he would leave you alone and leave you so cold, when you were his daughter.

But the blood in your veins, as you carry his name turns thinner than water. Oh, he would leave you alone and leave you so cold when you were his daughter. But the blood in your veins as you carry his name, turns thinner than water. You're just a broken angel. Oh, angel. You're just a broken angle. Oh, angel.

And I promise that it's not your fault. It was never your fault. And I promise that it's not your fault. It was never your fault. And I promise that it's not your fault. It was never your fault. And I promise."

After a couple hours or so, the concert was officially over and they could leave. Wally took Artemis' hand and they walked backstage. Wally gently kissed her. "It'll be ok, Babe. I promise, it'll be ok."

"How can you be so sure?" Artemis said quietly.

"Because I know you. You are tough, and strong, and the best girl out there, ok?"

"Ok."

"Baby, I promise."

She leaned against him. "It doesn't feel ok. I'm sick of this."

"What do you mean by 'this'?"

"Life, Wally! I'm sick of it! I hate it!"

"Ok, time to switch meds again."

"It's not the meds!" She said angrily. "I've felt like this for years! Anxiety wasn't the only reason I scratched myself!" She pulled up her sleeve, revealing a pale line across her wrist. Across her artery. That looked suspiciously like...

"When did you do this?!"

"Two years ago! My friend Avery caught me! That's the only reason I'm here right now, Wally! She caught me, and made sure I got meds, and they helped. I got better, and when my friends posted that video of me a couple months later and it went viral, I got famous. My dad and Cam made me stop taking the meds a year ago."

"That's when Megan caught you-"

"Yeah."

"So you were supposed to be taking meds this entire time?!"

"Yeah. Anxiety meds, too, I've been on and off those since I was Willow's age."

"Artemis, why didn't you tell me?"

"I thought that you'd hate me."

"Arty, I'd never hate you." He kissed her. "Now, let's get back to the hotel, shall we?"

"We shall," She said, giving him a smile.
