ARTY'S DRESS AND CHOKER^^^

Artemis scrambled into her clothes for the concert. She was in her dressing room. Cam was with her, but he would soon be leaving. On the bright side of things, he hadn't gotten mad about her hanging out with Wally a couple weeks ago. She slipped on a light blue dress and a black choker with pearls.

Cameron's phone dinged. "I've gotta go, Babe." He walked to the door, stopping to lift up her dress and touch her. She smacked his hand away. He just smirked at her. "C'mon let loose a little. We are in Amsterdam."

"I don't care where we are. I don't like you doing that."

He smacked her cheek. "Do I look like I care?" He left. Artemis sighed and sat down, bouncing her knee anxiously.

Megan walked in. "Hey, Girl." Megan was the band's backup singer, and was super sweet. She was used to be one of Wally's crushes, before Artemis took her place.

"Hey."

"Do you want me to do your hair?"

Artemis' blonde hair was pulled back in a ponytail, her bangs hanging on either side of her face, instead of pulled up with the rest of her hair. "Sure."

Megan kept her friend's bangs where they were, and pulled the rest up in a bun, braiding it across the top, then curling her bangs. She added minimal makeup.

Artemis looked in the mirror and smiled. "I look pretty," She said in shock. The blue eyeshadow complimented her gray eyes, and the eyeliner made her eyes pop. She always wore makeup onstage, but only as minimal as possible.

"You look beautiful," Megan said. "As always. The makeup just emphasizes what was already there."

"Thanks, Megs."

Soon they were up onstage, and a song was starting.

UNDERLINED IS MEGAN

"We go hideaway in daylight. We go undercover when under sun. Got a secret side in plain sight. Where the streets are empty, that's where we run.

Everyday people do everyday things, but I can't be one of them. I know you hear me now. We are a different kind. We can do anything."

"We could be heroes. We could be heroes. Me and you. We could be heroes. We could be heroes. Me and you. We could be. We could be. We could be."

"Ooh ooh ooh."

"We could be."

"Ooh ooh ooh."

"Anybody's got the power. They don't see it 'cause they don't understand. Spin around and round for hours. You and me we got the world in our hands."

"Everyday people do everyday things, but I can't be one of them. I know you hear me now. We are a different kind. We can do anything."

"We could be heroes. We could be heroes me and you. We could be heroes. We could be heroes me and you. We could be. We could be. We could be. We could be. We could be."

"Ooh ooh ooh."

"We could be."

" Ooh ooh ooh."

"We could be."

"Ooh ooh ooh."

"We could be."

"Ooh ooh ooh."

"We could be.

All we're looking for is love and a little light. Love and a little light. (We could be) All we're looking for is love and a little light. Love and a little light.

We could be heroes. (Oh) We could be heroes. (Oh) Me and you. We could be heroes. (Oh) We could be heroes. (Oh) Me and you. We could be. (Ooh) We could be. (Ooh) We could be. (Ooh) We could be. (Ooh) We could be."

There was applause. "Yeah!" "Spitfire!" "Woo-hoo!"

Artemis laughed and they continued on with the next song.

Wally's family joined them backstage once the concert was over. So did Megan's mom, her uncle, and her half brother. Conner's dad and adoptive dad were there, as was his stepmom. Dick's adoptive brothers and his adoptive dad. Kaldur's foster parents and their baby son were there too. To Artemis' surprise, Conner's adoptive dad, Lex, pushed Paula into the room to. Paula hadn't been able to come yet; she was always busy.

Wally walked back to the hotel with his family. Willow skipped along ahead of them. Wally walked alongside his parents. They passed by a mansion with police swarming around it. Willow ran over. "What's going on?" She asked an officer, who smiled at her.

"A Rembrandt painting was stolen. It's worth over a million, so we need to find it as quickly as possible."

"Is there a reward for finding it?"

The woman laughed. "Yeah, about 500,000 American dollars."

Willow whistled. "That's a lot of money."

Wally and his parents ran over. "I'm so sorry," Mary apologized.

"No need to be. She was just curious. I can respect that."

The Wests reached their destination a few minutes later. The time had been spent by Mary scolding Willow, who didn't care.

Settling into his bed, Wally munched on some candy he had snatched from the refreshment table. Willow, on her bed across the room, was jealous. "Hey, I want candy!"

"Well, you should've grabbed some, Will!"

Willow pouted. "I'm surprised that you didn't go tell Artemis goodnight. You have a key, right?"

"Yeah."

"So why didn't you?"

"No reason."

"It's because you could hear her and Cam kissing each other's mouths off when we passed their room, isn't it?"

"Willow Iris-Kate West!"

Willow shrugged. "That's what it sounded like."

That had indeed been what it sounded like. But Wally also thought that he had heard Artemis object to something at one point. He must've misheard. He had been since Artemis had admitted to him that Cam touching her made her feel uncomfortable. He even thought that he heard Cam slap her once (he'd know it was Artemis that got slapped because she made a pathetic little cry), but when he brought it up to her, she had no idea what he was talking about. Plus, she didn't have any bruises, so he decided that he really had misheard. Just like he had misheard her object tonight. 'Or,' He thought hopefully. 'She stood up for herself this time.'

He eventually drifted off to sleep, having no idea that behind a closed door, Cam had stripped Artemis' shirt off, and was altering between forcibly kissing her and beating her. And being far too handsy, of course. He also didn't know that the reason Artemis was getting beaten was because she was finally flat-out objecting Cameron's kisses and hands, and trying to get away from him. And to Wally.
