I MIGHT HAVE FANGIRLED A LITTLE WRITING THIS CHAPTER. OVER A THOUSAND WORDS! ALSO, PLEASE READ THE POEM.
There was a knock on the bedroom door. Artemis got up and opened it to see Wally. "Hey, Arty! Good morn-" He suddenly stopped, his face turning as red as a tomato.
Artemis was puzzled at first. But then she glanced down at her outfit. Her own face reddened as she realized what she was wearing. "Sorry, Wally!" She apologized. "I forgot that I was wearing this!"
"Do you want to go change?"
"Well, you've already seen me, so what's the point?" Artemis smiled at him. "I don't mind. You're my friend. I trust you to not be a perv. Well, mostly trust you."
Wally laughed. Then something caught his eye. "What's that bruise on your stomach from?"
Artemis looked down, having not noticed that it was there. "I ran into the countertop pretty hard."
"Oh. And if you don't mind, where'd those scars come from?"
                              "What scars?"
"The ones all over you. I haven't seen most of them before."
"Oh, I got them from fights at school, from getting jumped back when I still lived in one of the worst neighborhoods in Gotham, from archery and other sports, and from not exactly being a graceful person."
"Fair. But why cover them up?"
                              "They make me self conscious."
"Oh. Hey, do you wanna hang out today? Just you and me."
"I don't know if Cam would be ok with that."
"Who cares? He's your boyfriend, not your master!"
'Might as well be,' Artemis thought. "I guess that sounds like fun." She said aloud. "I'm gonna shower and put on clothes. Meet you in the dining room in thirty?"
                              "Yep. See ya, Arty!"
                              "See ya, Wally!"
Artemis ran to the bathroom, setting an alarm on her phone for fifteen minutes. She quickly took a shower, then got dressed. She pulled her hair back in a ponytail and debated a knit cap, deciding against it. She put on makeup and scribbled out a note for Cam.
'Hey, Babe. I had some things to do today. Sorry! We can hang out tomorrow if you want, but I have last minute plans! See you tonight! -Artemis.'
She hurried downstairs, hoping that she wouldn't be late, but knowing that she would.
Wally sat at a table. He had gotten two plates of red velvet pancakes because he knew that Artemis loved them. Wally munched on his. Artemis was five minutes late, but he didn't think much of it. She probably took longer than she expected to shower and/or put on makeup.
Sure enough she appeared seconds later. She noticed the pancakes. "Are those for me?" Wally nodded. "Thanks, Wall-man."
                              Willow appeared. "Hey, lovebirds!"
"What are you doing here, Will?" Wally groaned.
                              "Coming for breakfast. I'm STARVING."
                              "It's 7:30!"
                              "So?"
                              "You're nine! You need supervision!"
"I'll be fine for half an hour!"
"If you get kidnapped, it's your fault!"
                              "Ok!" She ran off.
After breakfast, Artemis and Wally went on a walk through the hotel's garden. "So, how have you been? With the concussion and all? You looked rough." Wally asked.
