Ok, I have next to no inspo, and I'd prefer to watch the Battle of Seoul in Age of Ultron than write about the city (no offense, please, take no offense, I'm not insulting the city, I just have zero motivation.) So MOVING ON TO THE NEXT CITY-
                              City: Tokyo, Japan
Song: Writing's On the Wall by Sam Smith (as suggested by Karma_WarHawx . Thanks, dude.) Everyone else who suggested a song: I'll get there eventually.
Artemis slid on the dress, pulling her hair into her signature ponytail. She was tired, but she had the concert, so going to bed wasn't an option. Unfortunately. She sighed, sliding on her shoes.
She walked to the wings, waiting to go on. Wally gave her a large smile. "Hey, babe!"
"Hey, Wally," Artemis said, returning the smile. Soon, Artemis walked onstage. A live orchestra was playing, much different than usual. But Artemis had a song that it suited. She picked up the microphone and started to sing.
"I've been here before, but always hit the floor. I've spent a lifetime running and I always get away. But with you I'm feeling something that makes me want to stay.
"I'm prepared for this. I never shoot to miss. But I feel like a storm is coming. If I'm gonna make it through the day, then there's no more use in running. This is something I gotta face.
"If I risk it all could you break my fall? How do I live? How do I breathe? When you're not here I'm suffocating. I want to feel love, run through my blood. Tell me is this where I give it all up? For you I have to risk it all cuz the writing's on the wall.
"A million shards of glass that haunt me from my past. As the stars begin to gather and the light begins to fade. When all hope begins to shatter, know that I won't be afraid.
"If I risk it all could you break my fall? How do I live? How do I breathe? When you're not here I'm suffocating. I want to feel love, run through my blood. Tell me is this where I give it all up? For you I have to risk it all. Cuz the writing's on the wall. The writing's on the wall.

Applause rippled through the audience. Artemis grinned, giving a bow, before gesturing for the others to get onstage with her.
Afterwards, Artemis immediately headed for her dressing room, gripping the countertop tightly. She stared blankly into the mirror, her eyes dull. She felt numb, like she wasn't fully there. Almost as if she was a robot or something. Dissociation or depersonalization, she was pretty sure it was called. It happened from time to time. It felt weird and annoying over everything else.
She wanted to sit down, but she couldn't bring herself to move. It was like she WANTED to, but her body didn't want to move without motivation. So she just stood there numbly. There was a knock at the door. She told herself that she should go open it, but she didn't.
The door swung open- apparently she hadn't locked it. Wally walked in, and her eyes followed him in the mirror. He wrapped his arms around her. "What's wrong?"
She thought that she should answer him, but she didn't.
Wally grabbed her chin, forcing her to look at him. "Hey, hey. Meet my eyes."
                              She did.
He stared into hers for a couple of minutes. Realizing that she didn't feel like she was entirely there, he sighed. "How about you take a nap? You're tired, and I'm sure you'll feel like yourself again when you wake up."
                              Artemis nodded slowly.
"C'mon." He picked her up bridal style and she relaxed against him, closing her eyes. She soon drifted off to sleep.
I actually have a reason why I had Artemis feel like that. It's because I'm feeling like it now, and as I wrote it, and writing emotion proved... difficult. I hope this chapter didn't suck, I'm sorry. -<3 Emma
