The mall rats

Alex woke up on the ground. She was in the upside down again. She got up and saw Billy talking to the mind flayer. All of a sudden when they were done talking Billy disappeared and the Mind flayer looked at Alex. "i was wrong." it said. Alex was confused. "About what?" Alex asked. "I don't need to kill your sister. I need to kill you." it said. Alex gasped and opened her eyes. She was back in Steve's room. "Hey you okay?" Steve asked. Alex nodded. "Ju-just a bad dream." Alex said. "Okay. i got more clothes so get up and change so we can go." Steve said. Alex got the clothes and changed. After she was done they both got in the car and drove to starcourt. They walked inside and went to Scoops Ahoy. Alex saw Max sitting at one of the tables. "Max?" Alex asked. Max looked up. "Hey." Max said. "What are you doing here?" Alex asked. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today." Max said. Alex looked at Steve and Steve nodded. Max got up and took Alex's hand. Before they left Steve stopped them. "Max, I promised Alex I would take her shopping today could you take her for me later?" Steve asked. "Sure." Max said. Alex smiled and they left. They walked to Max's house. Max was showing Alex skateboard tricks when she almost fell. Alex got her before she fell. The skateboard was rolling down when someone stopped it. They both looked up and saw Eleven. El walked to Max and handed her the skateboard. "Hi." El said. "Hi?" Max said. Alex smiled at Eleven and Eleven smiled back. "Can we talk?" Eleven asked Max. Max looked at Alex and Alex nodded. "Sure." Max said. They walked into Max's house went to Max's room. Max closed the door and Alex and Eleven sat on her bed. "What is it?" Max asked. Alex looked at Eleven. "I was supposed to hang out with Mike but when I called him he sounded weird." Eleven said. "Tell us the conversation." Max said. Alex sat further on the bed and crossed her legs. "Conversation?" Eleven asked. Max sighed. "Tell us what he said." Alex said. Eleven nodded. "He said he can't see me today because his nana was sick but Hopper told me it was a false alarm. Then he said that was what they thought too but then she took a turn for the worse and that they think she might die. He said he had to go to the nursing home and I told him he could come over after but he said he needed to be alone with his feelings." Eleven said. Max was pacing back and forth and Alex was sitting confused of what to say. "And then he said he he missed me and then he just hung up." Eleven said. "He's a piece of shit." Max said. Alex and Eleven looked at her in shock. "What?" Eleven asked. "Mike doesn't have jack shit to do today, and his nana obviously isn't sick. I guarantee you, him and Lucas are play Atari right now." Max said. "Atari?" Alex and Eleven asked. "That's not important." Max said. "What should I do?" Eleven asked. "You're going to stop calling him. You're going to ignore his calls. As far as your concerned, he doesn't exist." Max said. "Don't exist?" Eleven asked. "He treated you like garbage. You're gonna treat him like garbage. Give him a taste of his own medicine." Max said. "Give him the medicine." Eleven said. "Mhm. and if he doesn't fix this, if he doesn't explain himself," Max said. "Dump his ass." Alex said. Max and Eleven looked at Alex. "what? Steve told me this already. I just didn't get it until now." Alex said. Max smiled. "Yeah, if he doesn't explain himself, dump his ass." Max said. "There's more to life than stupid boys you know" Max said. Alex smiled. "Like what?" Eleven asked. Max and Alex were thinking. "Oh. I got it. The mall." Alex said. "Perfect." Max said. Eleven looked at them confused. "Come on." Max said. Max grabbed Alex's hand and Alex grabbed Eleven's. They walked out of the house. "Do you guys wanna walk or take the bus?" Max asked. Eleven and Alex looked at each other. "Bus." El and Alex said. They waited at the bus stop. The bus came and they got on. They got off at starcourt. "So," Alex said. "What do you think?" Max asked. Eleven looked scared. "Hey, what's wrong?" Alex asked. "Too many people. Against the rules." Eleven said. "Seriously?" Alex asked. Eleven nodded. "Alex comes here all the time. You two have superpowers what's the worst that could happen?" Max said. Alex and Max looked at each other and smiled. They each grabbed one of El's hands and ran inside starcourt. El stopped and looked around. "So, what should we do first?" Alex asked. "You two never went shopping before, have you?" Max said. Alex and Eleven shook their heads. "Well then I guess we'll just have to try everything." Max said. "Come on." Max grabbed El's and Alex's hand and ran to a clothes store. El and Alex each stopped in front of clothes they liked. "You like that?" Max asked both Alex and Eleven. "How do we know what we like?" Alex asked. "You just try stuff on until you try something that feels like you." Max said. "Like me?" Eleven and Alex asked. Max nodded. They tried stuff on and bought the things they liked. After they went to a photo shoot store and took pictures. They went to a shoes store and Eleven tried walking in heel. She started falling and grabbed Alex's shoulder and Alex and Eleven both fell. Max started laughing and so did Alex and El. Alex wanted to see Steve so they went to Scoops Ahoy to get ice cream. "Okay, here you go. You got two strawberry and a vanilla with sprinkles." Steve said handing the ice creams to them. "Are you having fun?" Steve asked Alex. "yes." Alex said. "Wait a second, are you even allowed to be here?" Steve said looking at Eleven. They all looked at each other and ran off. Steve shook his head and went to the back. "That was amazing!" Alex said. "Yeah." El said. "I told you there was more to life than stupid boys." Max said. As they got close to the exit Alex heard Mike. She ran to the exit. "Alex?" Eleven asked. "Where are you going?" Max asked. They followed her. "Okay, what if we split it?" Mike asked. Alex saw Mike, Lucas and Will. Eleven and Max came out and saw them to. Alex walked up to them and so did El and Max. "isn't this a nice surprise?" Max asked. Mike looked at El. "what are you doing here?" Mike asked. "Shopping." El said. "This is her new style." Alex said. "What do you think?" Max asked. "What is wrong with you? You know she's not allowed to be here." Mike said to Max. "what is she, your little pet?" Alex asked. "Yeah." Max and El said. "Am I your pet?" El asked. "What? No!" Mike said. "Then why do you treat me like garbage?" El asked. "What?" Mike asked. "You said nana was sick." El said. "She is. That's why we're here actually to get a gift for nana. Also we're here to get a gift for you but we couldn't find anything that suited you and everything is expensive and I only have like $3.50 so it's hard." Mike said. Alex looked at Mike and crossed her arms. "You lied to her." Alex said. Mike looked down. "Why do you lie?" El asked. The bus made a loud squeal and hurt Alex's ears and she was about to fall to the ground. Max ran and helped her. Eleven started walking closer to Mike. it looked like she was gonna slap him. "I dumb your ass." Eleven said. Max's mouth opened and Alex stopped covering her ears. Eleven walked away and Max followed her. Alex was about to leave when Mike grabbed her wrist. "What?" Alex said annoyed. "I'm sorry." Mike said. "I'm not the one you should be saying that to." Alex said. She took Mike's hand off and went in the bus and sat next to Eleven and Max. "what took you so long?" Max asked. "Mike said he's sorry." Alex said. "Too late." Eleven said. They decided to have a sleepover at Eleven's cabin.
