Meeting The Others

Alex woke up in her bed. Her room was a little destroyed. Brenner walked in. "Good morning, 001." Brenner said. "001? What are you talking about? What happened in here?" Alex asked. "Your name isn't Alex anymore, it's 001. That's why it's on your wrist. And last night your powers went out of control and almost destroyed the place. Now come on we have work to do." Brenner said. Alex got up confused. She followed Brenner in a room where they were shaving kids heads. "Sit 001." Brenner said. "Your crazy I'm not letting you shave my head." Alex said. Brenner was about to do something then Alex used her telekinesis to slam Brenner into the wall. The kids in the rooms eyes widened. "If you so much as think about shaving my head I'll kill you." Alex said. She let Brenner go. "Ok then. Let's move on." Brenner said. Alex was walking down the hall with Brenner. They walked into a room. Alex saw a boy sitting on the bed. Brenner closed the door and Alex jumped. The boy turned to look at her. Brenner was watching them. The boy got up nervously. Alex showed him her number. He showed her his, 002. Brenner spoke into a microphone. "Make physical contact." Brenner said. Alex and the boy looked at each other. "What's your real name?" Alex asked whispering. "Jason." Jason whispered. "You can trust me." Alex said. Jason nodded. They grabbed each other's hand. All of a sudden the ground started shaking. They started hearing thunder and a tornado  was forming around them. They let go and everything stopped. "How is this possible?" a scientist asked. "You're our two most strongest when they made contact, their powers combined." Brenner said. Alex and Jason looked at each other scared. *A couple hours later* the kids were in a room with tables and food. Alex saw Jason and she decided to go talk to him. She sat next to him and Jason looked at her. "Hi. It's Jason right?" Alex said. Jason nodded. "Do you know what happened this morning?" Alex asked. "No but I think it has something to do with our powers." Jason said. A girl came up to them. "Your the girl that slammed Brenner into the wall." She said. "Um yeah." Alex said. "That was cool." she said. Alex smiled. It was silent after that. "Haven't you guys thought about escaping?" Alex said. Jason and the girl were about to answer when a guy next the table they were in answered. "It's impossible to escape. They have guards in every exit and cameras everywhere. Even if you do escape they'll go out looking for you kill whoever they need to get to you. We're special there's no way they would let us get away and not look for us." the boy said. "What's your number?" Alex asked. "005." 005 said. Alex nodded. "But doesn't it bother you that they took us so young and away from our families." Alex said. "No but that's cuz the pain was too much to handle so I shut my emotions off." 005 said. "What do you mean?" Jason asked. "I have powers that let me take away any emotion I want I can also give it back. I have other powers too but I can't control them as much as I can with that one." 005 said. Alex nodded. "Plus I heard some girl was born here. She's starting off as a baby." The girl said. Her number was 003. "What that's crazy." Jason said. "They're planning to use us as weapons." 009 said. "I heard them. "We're kids!" Alex said. "Doesn't matter." 007 said. "Yeah, to them we're just experiments." 006 said. "And that's all we're ever going to be." 005 said. They all had to go to there rooms. Alex was in her room when a scientist walked in. "hello, 001. My name Dr. Herse." The scientist said. "What do you want?" Alex asked. "I'm just going to ask you questions." Dr. Herse said. "I don't want to answer questions. I want to feel normal you know learn things that are on something called school." Alex said. Dr.Herse felt bad. "Okay, how about this? I teach you stuff like science, math, I'll teach you more words and I'll even let you draw sometimes but in return you have to answer at least one of my questions for every lesson deal?" Dr. Herse said. Alex smiled and nodded. Since then Dr. Herse would teach Alex everyday. He was the only nice scientist and they grew a bond. Alex didn't tell Brenner this or Adrian because it could get Dr. Herse fired and Alex didn't want that. Alex learned more words. She learned how to draw and turned very smart.
