Quarry

Richie and Alex continued walking. "Richie?" Alex asked. "Yeah?" Richie asked. "I lied." Alex said. "About what?" Richie asked. "I live in the burned house." Alex said. "What? Why? Alex if you need a place to stay because-" Richie started. "No. no. My dad still lives there." Alex said. Richie looked confused. "Your dad?" Richie asked. Alex nodded. "He said that when I was taken he did some horrible stuff." Alex said. "What kind of horrible things?" Richie asked. "I don't know. He didn't say." Alex said. "Does he have powers too?" Richie asked. "I got my powers from him, well I got mind reading, teleportation and shape shifting." Alex said. Richie nodded. "So where did you get your other powers?" Richie asked. Alex shrugged. They arrived at Alex's house. "I'll see you tomorrow at the quarry." Richie said. Alex nodded. "Oh and if someone stole my bike because I left it running after you. You owe me a new one." Richie said. Alex smiled and went inside. "Dad, i'm back!" Alex yelled. No answer. "Dad?" Alex asked. Alex heard screaming from the well. Alex ran to the well. She found a rope and went down. "Hello? Dad?" Alex asked. Alex couldn't see anything. She made fire with her hand. She started walking until she found a pile of kids floating. "Oh my god." Alex said. Alex walked closer and saw a girl on the floor. The girl only had one shoe. Alex remembered the shoe Bill found in the sewer. "Betty Rimpson." Alex whispered. She took the girl's shoe off and saw B. Rimpson written in marker inside. Alex dropped the shoe and teleported to her room. "Alex?" Pennywise asked. He went in Alex's room. He looked normal except that he had a drop of blood on the side of his mouth. "Your home. How was it?" Pennywise asked. "It was good." Alex said. Alex noticed the blood. "What happened?" Alex asked pointing at the blood. "Oh that." Pennywise said wiping the blood off. "It a leftover." Pennywise said. Alex nodded. "Can I go to the quarry tomorrow?" Alex asked. "Of course just be back by sun down." Pennywise said. Alex nodded. "Dinner is downstairs." Pennywise said. Alex nodded and went downstairs and ate. She went back upstairs and went to sleep. When she woke up she heard the phone ring. Alex looked confused but she went downstairs and picked it up. "Hello?" Alex asked in a sleepy voice. "Alex!" Richie said. "Richie?" Alex asked still sleepy. "Sorry did I wake you?" Richie asked. Alex rubbed her eyes. "A little." Alex said. "Are you still coming to the quarry?" Richie asked. "Yes." Alex said. "Ok, cool I'll pick you up at 2 ok" Richie said. "Mhm." Alex said. "Bye." Richie said. "Bye." Alex said. Alex hung up and looked at the time, 8:12. Alex went upstairs and changed into black leggings and plain white t shirt. She was bored and decided to look around Derry. Alex left the house and started walking. She walked past apartments and saw Beverly. She saw Beverly had cut her hair. Alex wanted to talk to her but she was too scared. She was about to walk past when Beverly called her. "Hey!" Beverly said walking to Alex. "aren't you that girl that was with those boys that are going to the quarry today?" Beverly asked. Alex nodded. "I'm Beverly." Beverly said sticking her hand for Alex to shake. Alex smiled. "Alex." Alex said shaking her hand. "Where you off to?" Beverly asked. "Just walking." Alex said. "Can I join?" Beverly asked. Alex nodded. "So did you move here." Beverly asked. "I used to live here but I was taken and now i'm back." Alex said. "Taken? What do you mean?" Beverly asked. "Can I trust you?" Alex asked. "Of course, I promise I won't tell anyone." Beverly said. "I have powers. I was taken by a group of scientist when I was 3. They experimented on me for 11 years. I just escaped them last year. I have invisibility, can manipulate fire, wind and water, make people see things, telekinesis, reading people's mind, super strength, shapeshifting, super hearing, speed,  indestructibility, healing, I can suck energy, teleport, create a force field, and return energy." Alex said. Beverly was shocked. "Woah. that is awesome." Beverly said. Alex smiled. "Is that all?" Beverly asked. "Well sometimes I faint and go to another place and when I'm angry and I scream I can blast things away and if I stomp I can create an earthquake. Also when I'm really mad I start floating and energy blasts from my arms." Alex said. "So what you're saying is you have astral projection, super scream, create earthquakes, and turn into a super ball of energy when someone pisses you off." Beverly said. "Astral projection? Super scream?" Alex asked. "Astral projection is when your body faints and it turns pale and your mind and spirit are somewhere else. Super scream is when you scream you can blast anything in your path." Beverly said. "Oh. then yes." Alex said. "Oh shit, the quarry. I have to get my bike but i'll see you there." Beverly said. Alex nodded. Beverly ran back to her house. Alex teleported back. She waited outside and a few minutes later Richie came. "Hey, hot stuff." Richie said. Alex smiled. "Let's go." Richie said. Alex got on. Richie rode his bike to the quarry. "Richie?" Alex asked. "Yeah?" Richie asked. "What are we?" Alex asked. "We're whatever you want us to be." Richie said. "Can we be together, together?" Alex asked. Richie smiled. "Yeah hot stuff. We're together." Richie said. Alex smiled and laid her head on Richie back. They arrived. Alex and Richie got off and Richie grabbed Alex's hand. Alex saw the losers club and Ben there in their underwear. "Hey Alex." they all said. Alex waved. "I'll be back ok." Richie said. Alex nodded and sat on a rock. She watched the losers have a spitting contest. "Alex you coming?" Eddie asked. Alex looked up. "In a minute." Alex said. "Who's first?" Richie asked. "I'll go." Alex and the losers turned around and saw Beverly. Alex smiled. "Sissys." Beverly said running past the losers and jumping in the water. "What the fuck!? We just got shown up by a girl!" Richie yelled. Alex started laughing. Richie looked at her. "Your minutes over you know!" Richie yelled. Alex smiled. Richie ran to her and picked her up. Alex screamed. "Richie put me down!" Alex yelled. Richie held her above the quarry. "Whatever you say." Richie said smiling. He let Alex go and she fell in the water. Beverly laughed. The losers jumped in. Alex glared at Richie. Richie laughed. He swam to Alex and wrapped his arms around her waist. Alex wrapped her arms around his neck. Richie kissed her. "Hey, love birds! You two going to join us or stay in your little world?" Beverly said. Alex smiled and they went to the others. After a few minutes they got out. Alex told them all her powers. Beverly was tanning and Richie and Alex were talking. Alex looked at Beverly and thought of Max and the others. Richie looked down at Ben's backpack and starts going through it. "Newsflash, school's out for summer." Richie said holding a fake microphone. Alex smiled. "That's library stuff. Not school stuff." Ben said. Richie pulled out a postcard. Ben snatched it away. Alex jumped back. "No one." Ben said. Alex took out a book. Eddie and Alex looked through it. "What's with the history project?" Eddie asked. "Oh, uh, when I moved here I didn't have anyone to hang out with or anything, so I just started spending time in the library." Ben said. "Seriously? You went to the library? On your own? For fun?" Richie asked. Bill took a closer look. "I wanna see." Beverly said. She sat next to Bill. "Why is it all of people getting killed and missing kids?" Beverly asked. "Dunno. That's Derry I guess." Ben said. "Like any town, right, been around long enough, bad things happen? I mean, all history is a long line of bad things happening to people." Eddie said. Alex looked through the book and was really concentrated. "Try reading the Torah." Stanley said. "Yeah, but Derry's not like any town I moved to. And we've moved a lot. Did you guys know people die violently here or disappear like six times the national average?" Ben said. Alex looked up. "You read that?" Alex asked. Ben nodded. "That's just adults. Kids are worse. Way worse." Ben said. The kids all looked at each other. Alex with a scared look. She had this bad feeling. "I've got more stuff if you wanna see it." Ben said. The kids all nodded and headed to Ben's house. Beverly and Alex were up front. Ben ran upstairs to clean his room a little. Alex saw he dropped the postcard for Beverly. Alex picked it up and read it. She quickly hid it from Beverly and walked over to Ben. "pist." Alex said. Ben looked at her weird. Alex handed him the postcard secretly. Ben's eyes widened. Alex mouthed 'I won't tell anyone. I promise.'. Ben smiled. Alex did too. 'Thank you.' Ben mouthed. The rest of the losers came in. Alex started looked at the walls. "Wow" Richie said. "Cool, huh?" Ben said. Alex and Richie looked at him. "No." Richie said. Alex looked back at the newspapers. She stopped and saw a clown on one of the newspaper. It looked like the clown her dad turns into. "What's this? Declaration of Independence?" Stanley said. "The charter for Derry Township." Ben said. "Nerd alert." Richie said. Alex was too focused on the newspaper. "No, it's kind of interesting. Derry started as a beaver trapping camp." Ben said. "Still is. Am I right, boys?" Richie said. Beverly shook her head. Bill and the others shot him a look. Alex still focused on the newspaper smacked Richie in the back of the head. "Ow!" Richie said. "Ninety-one people signed the charter that made Derry. But then, later that winter, they all disappeared, without a trace." Ben said. Alex looked terrified. "The entire camp?" Eddie asked freaked out. Next to some half-built models, Bill finds a few slides. Holds them one by one up to the light as Ben continues. Alex went to Bill and looked at the slides with him. "There were rumors of Indians but no sign of an attack. Others thought it was a plague or something. It was like everyone just woke up one day and left. The only clue was a big hole in the ground where the wellhouse was." Ben said. Bill held another slide, it was the first map of Derry. "Wh-where was the wellhouse?" Bill asked. Alex repeated the word wellhouse in her head. "Somewhere in town, I guess." Ben said. Alex looked outside. Almost sundown. "I have to go." Alex said. Richie looked at Alex confused. Alex ran out the door and Richie followed. "Hey, Alex you okay?" Richie asked. Alex nodded. "Yeah just my dad said I have to be home by sundown so," Alex said. "You want me to walk you?" Richie asked. "No. I'll be fine you stay. I'll see you tomorrow." Alex said. "Are you su-" Richie started. Alex kissed his cheek. "Bye!" Alex said. She started running to her house. When she arrived she saw her dad. "Dad, can i ask you something?" Alex asked. Pennywise nodded. "You remember that clown you were when i first came?" Alex asked. "Yes." Pennywise said. "I saw that clown on a newspaper. Was that you?" Alex asked. "Sweetie i told you i did terrible things and i regret them all. I stopped doing them. Yes that was me but now that your here i don't do that anymore." Pennywise said. Alex nodded. Alex went up to her room. Alex fell asleep.
