The battle of starcourt

Alex was screaming and crying. "What is that?" Erica asked. "There's something in there." Mike said. "No!" Alex yelled. "Jesus christ." Dustin said. "Get it out of her now!" Steve yelled. "Keep her talking. Keep her awake, okay?" Jonathan said then ran off. "Jesus christ." Dustin said again. Alex eyes were closing. "Hey, no." Max said. "Hey, hey, hey. Stay awake, Stay awake. Lets get her on this side. On this side." Mike said. "Hey, easy, easy, easy, easy." Steve said. Jonathan ran back. "Okay, okay, Alex, this is gonna hurt like hell, okay?" Jonathan said. Alex kept crying. "Okay." Alex said. "Need you to stay real still. Here, you're gonna want to bite down on this, okay?" Jonathan said. Dustin put it in Alex's mouth and she bit down. "Holy shit, holy shit." Dustin said. "Do it." Mike said. "Okay." Jonathan said. He cuts Alex's leg and Alex screams. El quickly grabs her hand with both hands. Alex started sobbing. "It's okay. It's okay. You're going to be okay." Steve said. Jonathan put his fingers in her leg and Alex screamed more. "No, Stop it!" Alex said. Nobody heard her but Steve. "What is it?" Steve asked. "Tell him to stop! Please, Steve it hurts!" Alex said. "Stop! Stop!" Steve yelled. Jonathan stopped. Alex slowly sat up. "I-I can do it." Alex said. "No." El said. Everyone looked at El. "i'm the reason you got hurt this time. I'll do it." El said. Alex nodded. El put her hand up. Alex started screaming and sobbing. "I'm sorry!" El yelled. El started screaming and the glass behind them broke. Steve moved in front of Alex with his back facing the glass to stop many glass from hitting Alex. El kept screaming and she pulled out a small part of the mind flayer. She threw it. Alex was still crying. Mike wrapped his arms around her and so did Steve. Everyone was looking at the small piece of the mind flayer and they saw Hopper, Joyce and Murray. El ran to Hopper and hugged him. Alex stopped crying. "I can't believe this." Alex said. Hopper turned to look at Alex. "you can't believe what?" Hopper asked. "Wait a minute, who is she?" Murray and Joyce asked. "Alex, she's my sister." El said. "She's also the first hawkins lab experiment." Will said. "I can't believe the mind flayer is the only thing that can hurt me." Alex said. "What do you mean?" Dustin asked. "One of my powers, it's indestructibility. Which means I can't feel pain or be destroyed." Alex said. Everyone was shocked. "Explain everything." Hopper said. Mike explained while El and Max stayed with Alex. "this means-" Max said. "The mind flayer can actually stop you." El said. Alex put her hand up and started healing her leg. "I promised you El that you'll never lose me. That promise is one I never wanna break. So if the mind flayer comes for me, we'll just kick his ass like you've done for the last two three years." Alex said. Max and El smiled and hugged Alex. they saw everyone preparing for something. Steve walked to them. "What the hell?" Steve said looking at Alex's leg. "Healing, remember?" Alex said. Steve nodded. "What happened to your face?" Alex asked. "Oh it's always like that when this shit happens." Max said. "Let me see." Alex said. "No, Alex, i'm fine. Just got punched by russians." Steve said. Alex stood up. "Steve." Alex said. "Fine." Steve said. Alex put her hand up and healed Steve's face. "Thanks." Steve said. Alex nodded. "What is everyone doing?" El asked. "Ask Mike and the others cuz I mostly didn't get any of it other than the part where the mind flayer is back and at first it was after you and now it's after you and it's the reason your leg got injured." Steve said. Alex, El and Max nodded. They walked to Mike, Will, Lucas and Dustin. "Barely. We could've really used you guys down there." Dustin said. "Could've used you up here, too." Mike said. "Yeah, man. We missed you, dude." Lucas said. "Yeah. big-time." Will said. Dustin hugged them. "I missed you guys too, Big-time." Dustin said. "What about us?" Alex asked. They looked at the girls. "Missed all of you girls too." Dustin said. They all hugged. "Don't cry nerds." Erica said. Alex turned to her. "Erica!" Lucas said. "Say me name one more time see what happens." Erica said. "You're Erica?" Alex asked. "Yes. what's it to you?" Erica asked. "I'm not a nerd, you sassy brat." Alex said. Erica's eyes widened. "I think you and me are gonna be great friends." Erica said holding her hand off. Alex smiled and shook it. "Hey, heads up. You can navigate, just from someplace safe." Hopper said. "It's not that simple." Dustin said. "The signal won't reach." Erica said. "Not with this. You need something with a high enough frequency band to relay with the russians' radio tower. But for that to work, you need someone who has both seen their comms room and has access to a super-powered handcrafted radio tower, one preferably already situated at the highest point in Hawkins." Dustin said. Everyone started thinking. "Wow you all really are idiots." Alex said. "What?" Lucas, Dustin, Will and Mike said. "Dustin. Dustin has both seen their comms room and has access to a super-powered handcrafted radio tower, already situated at the highest point in Hawkins, Cerebro. It has a high enough frequency band that Dustin said it can talk from North pole to south. It should be able to reach the signal to relay the russians' radio tower." Alex said. Mike, Will, Luca, Max, and El's mouths dropped. "Oh shit, she's right." Dustin said. Hopper was shocked. "She's right?" Hopper asked in disbelief. The boys nodded quickly. "Okay, if you want us to navigate, you got us. But-" Dustin said. "But they need a head start." Alex said. Dustin nodded. "And a car." Dustin said. "If you have a car Steve and Robin can go with them and drive them to the tower." Alex said. Hopper nodded. "Steve! Robin!" Alex yelled. Steve and Robin went to them. "What is it?" Robin asked. Hopper tossed the keys to Steve. "Drive these two to Dustin's radio thingy-" Hopper said. "Tower. Radio tower." Alex said. "Okay, um, Alex are you coming with us?" Steve asked. Alex shook her head. "I'll stay here." Alex said. Steve hugged Alex. "be careful." Steve said. Alex nodded. Steve left and Alex started feeling weak and she fell to the floor. "Alex!" El and Mike yelled. "Hey, kid. You okay?" Hopper asked. Alex softly nodded. "You two sit her down right there." Hopper told Mike and El. They got her up. Hopper sat next to her. "Give me a second with her and El." Hopper said. Mike nodded and went to the side. "Look, kid. I haven't met you yet but I know your El's sister and are very important to her." Hopper said. El nodded. "I can fight it. I'll be fine." Alex said. "I know you can. Maybe better than all of us." Hopper said. El smiled. "But right now, I need you to keep El and yourself safe. This thing is after you and i know sure as hell El is going to try and protect you if she feels you're in danger." Hopper said. Alex smiled and El grabbed Alex's hand. "Point is just be careful, okay?" Hopper said. Alex and El nodded. "Hey, we should probably go." Mike said. Alex nodded and smiled at Hopper before going with Mike. El hugged Hopper and got up. They walked up the stairs and went to the car. They got on and the car wasn't starting. Alex turned around to the window and saw a car on. Alex thought it was nothing. "The ignition cable's gone." Alex heard Jonathan say. "Get out the car." Alex said. "What?" El asked. "Get out the-" Alex said. They heard an engine roar. "Oh shit." Lucas said. They looked and saw Billy. "Get out the car!" Alex yelled. They all got out and ran back to the mall. Mike went on the walkie and tried to get a hold of Steve, Robin, Dustin and Erica. Alex was sitting next to the car and looking at it. Then she got an idea. Alex ran to Nancy, Max, Will and Jonathan. "You guys." Alex said. They looked at her. "You said the ignition cable is gone from the car, right?" Alex said. "Yeah." Jonathan said. "We can use that car." Alex said pointing to the car. "There is no chance that thing will drive, Alex." Nancy said. Alex rolled her eyes. "I don't mean to drive it I mean we get the ignition cable from it and put it in the other car." Alex said. "She's right." Jonathan said. They all ran to the car and tried to flip it over. "Do you guys need help?" Alex asked. "No. we just need to push harder." Mike said. Everyone looked at Mike. "I can do it Mike." Alex said. "Fine." Mike said. "Alex." El said. "What is it? you're weak, remember?" El said. "Right." Alex said. "If you want I can try while you find something to drain energy from." El said. Alex nodded. Alex drained the energy from a shop. She went back at saw El couldn't do it. "I can't do it." El said. Alex put her hand up and the car flipped over. El walked to a trash can. Max, Mike, and Alex were talking. "What is she doing?" Max asked looking at El. El was digging through the trash. "Let me talk to her." Alex said. They nodded and Alex walked to El. "El what are you doing?" Alex asked. El pulled out a coke can and set it on a flat surface. El put her hand up. She was trying to crush the can with her powers. "El." Alex said. "I can't." El said. Alex hugged El. "i'm sure you're just drained." Alex said. El nodded. El went to Nancy and Jonathan. Alex was standing in the middle of the mall looking at something. All of a sudden she heard Mike. "Alex!" Mike yelled. Alex looked at him confused. Alex heard something and looked up. She saw the mind flayer. It broke the ceiling and was about to fall on her when Mike ran and grabbed her and pulled her out the way. "Come on!" Mike said. Alex, Mike, El and Max ran and hid. It roared and Alex covered her ears and closed her eyes. *Steve* Steve was pacing when he saw the lights flickering from the mall. "Hey, guys?" Steve said. Everyone got up and walked to where Steve was. They all saw the mall flickering and ran to the radio. "Griswold family, this is scoops troop! Do you copy? Over! Griswold family, i repeat, this is scoops troop. do you-" Dustin asked. They heard roaring on the radio. "Griswold family, this is scoops troop! Please confirm your safety! Are you in route to bald eagle's nest? Please confirm your safety! Someone, please just answer. Is anyone there? Just answer! Anyone please!" Dustin said. Nobody answered. Steve heard enough. He got up and ran. "Where are you going?!" Erica asked. "To get them the hell outta there! Stay here contact the others!" Steve said. Robin went with him. *Alex* Alex was quietly crying because her ears hurt of how much noise the mind flayer was making. Mike was hugging her. He let go to see where the mind flayer was. "It's turned away. If we go up the stairs now, we'll make it." Mike said. El hugged Alex. "No way, that thing roars every 10 seconds or something and with Alex's super hearing she could make a noise." Max said. "We have to try." Mike said. El thought for a moment. "There's another way, to get out. Through the gap." El said. Mike looked back at the monster. "Okay." Mike said. "Now." Mike said. Alex make them see her running with them. When they got into the store, Max tripped on something and the mind flayer went looking for them in the gap. Alex got scared and stopped using her powers. Alex looked up from her hiding place and saw Jonathan. Jonathan saw her and mouthed "are they with you?". Alex shook her head and pointed to the gap. Lucas looked up at Alex. he showed her the sling shot and mouthed "I need you to make this make a loud noise to distract the mind flayer.". Alex nodded. Lucas shot it at a balloon but it didn't pop or make a loud enough noise. Alex popped the balloon and the mind flayer ran to the balloon. Alex mouthed to Lucas to go. Lucas nodded and they went to the back of a store. Alex saw El looking at her and telling her to go. Alex shook her head and mouthed "take them i'll stay here and try to distract him.". El nodded and took them to the exit. All of a sudden Alex saw the mind flayer going to the roof. "What are you doing?" Alex asked. Alex turned invisible and she used her wind powers to push herself to the roof. She saw Steve and Robin. The mind flayer went after them. Alex stopped being invisible and jumped back into the mall. Alex saw the walkie. She grabbed the pieces and ran to the gap. She used the exit and Mike, El and Max saw her. "What were you thinking?" Mike asked. Alex was focused on the walkie. "Alex?" Max asked. Mike waved his head in front of her face. Alex looked at them. "What?" Alex asked. "What in hell were you thinking?" Mike asked. Alex looked back at the walkie. "Alex, that thing is broken it can't be-" Mike said. "Done." Alex said. "What the." Max said. "How are you so smart after being locked in a lab for like 11 years?" Max asked. "There was this scientist. Every day he would teach me things. One day he was assigned to inject me. I told him i wanted to leave so he didn't inject me and I got my full strength and got out." Alex said. El smiled. "Do you know the earth orbits the sun?" Suzie said in the radio. "Who is that?" Mike asked. "Suzie -poo I promise i will make it up to you as soon as possible." Dustin said. "It's Suzie." Alex said. "I want to hear it." Suzie said. "What is she talking about?" Max asked. Alex shrugged. "Wait, wait wait. Okay. okay. Okay. shit." Dustin said. "What is it?" El asked. "Is he seriously-" Mike said. "Sssshhhh I like it." Alex said continuing to listen to the song. El smiled and listened. Mike and Max made faces. Mike and Max were looking at Alex and El singing the song. "People could be dying and you two are singing?" Max said. Alex and El stopped. "Sorry." Alex and El said. "Come on. Let's get out of here." Mike said. They ran to the gate to exit and saw Billy. "Shit." Max said. "Go, go, go, go, go, go, go!" Mike said. They were running and Max went back. "Max!" Alex yelled. Max pressed a button to close the gate and ran back. *Steve* Steve saw the mind flayer stop and turn around. "It's turning around." Steve said. "What?" Nancy asked. "It's turning around!" Steve yelled. "Maybe we wore it out." Lucas said. "I don't think so. Hold on." Jonathan said. *Alex* they were running back. "In here, in here." Mike said. Mike and El were trying to open a door. Max left the room. "Billy." Max said. Mike and El stopped. Mike pulled Alex behind El and him. "Billy, please, I'm Max, I'm your-" Max said. Billy threw her to the wall. Billy came in the room and put Alex, Mike and El unconscious by throwing them across the room. Billy grabbed Alex and walked out with her over his shoulder. Billy placed her on the floor once he was in the middle of starcourt. He whispered in her ear. "Don't be afraid. It will be over soon. Just try and stay... very still." Billy said. Alex slowly opened her eyes and saw the mind flayer. Alex started to back up. The mind flayer was about to flay her when a firework hit him. "Flay this you ugly piece of shit!" Lucas yelled. Fireworks kept hitting him. "Hey, asshole! Over here!" Steve yelled. *Max* Max and El woke up. Max looked at El. "what happened?" El asked. Max saw Mike. "oh shit. Mike." Max said. El and Max tried waking him up. "Mike, can you hear me? Mike! Mike!" Max yelled. Mike slowly got up. El and Max helped him up. "Hey." Max said. "You okay?" El asked. Mike looked around. "Where's Alex?" Mike asked. *Alex* Alex tried getting away but Billy grabbed her. Alex was thinking back to Billy's memories. "Seven feet." Alex said. Billy loosened his grip a little. "You told her the wave was seven feet.you ran to her, on the beach. There were seagulls. She wore a hat with a blue ribbon. A long dress with a blue and red flower. Yellow sandals covered in sand. She was pretty. She was really pretty. And you, you were happy." Alex said. Billy's eyes were watery. Alex put a hand on his face. "You're not evil, Billy. You're not a monster." Alex said. The fireworks stopped. The mind flayer looked at Alex. Billy got up. Alex backed up and the mind flayer was about to get her when Billy stopped it. "No!" Billy yelled. Alex's eyes widened. The mind flayer killed Billy. "Billy!" Max yelled. The mind flayer got out of control. Alex set him on fire and he died. Mike ran to Alex. "Alex." Mike said. "Mike!" Alex said. Mike hugged Alex. El went to Alex. "i'm glad you're okay." El said. Alex hugged El. Alex looked at Max. Alex went to her. "I can save him." Alex said. "What?" Max asked crying. Billy was still breathing, barely. "If you let me I can save him." Alex said. Max nodded and moved out the way. Alex put her hand up and closed her eyes. Billy started breathing normally again. Alex healed him. "Billy." Max said. Billy looked at Max and smiled. "Billy!" Max hugged him. Helicopters came and they all went out of the mall. "You almost gave me a heart attack." Steve said. Alex smiled. "I'm sorry." Alex said. Steve hugged her. The ambulance and fire department came. Alex was sitting down with Steve. "Hey." Mike said. "Hi." Alex said. "I'm happy you're okay." Mike said. Alex smiled and hugged Mike. Mike looked at Steve and Steve gave him a death glare. Mike stopped hugging Alex. they saw Will run and hug his mom. "Wait, where's Hopper?" Alex asked. Alex looked at El. El fell to the floor crying. Alex jumped up and ran to her. Alex hugged her. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry." Alex said. El hugged Alex tighter. *three months later* Alex threw a pillow at Steve. "Wake up!" Alex yelled. Steve got up. "You are going to be later to find a new job and you promised me you'd drive me to Will's so I can help them pack." Alex said. Steve changed and they went in his car. They got to Will's. "Hey, remember." Steve said. "Yeah, yeah, no funny business and be back at home by 6." Alex said. "Bye." Steve said. "Bye." Alex said. Steve drove off. Alex went in and heard Max and Lucas singing. "Wait, did we get that verse right? It's "unfold behind the clouds"?" Max asked. Alex rolled her eyes. "Yeah, but you're butchering it, so could you please stop?" Dustin said. "You guys it's been three months give him a break, please." Alex said. "Thank you Alex." Dustin said. "Mhm. where's El?" Alex asked. "In her room." Lucas said. Alex walked to El room and heard Max and Lucas keep singing. "Are they serious?" Alex asked. "It's been like that since they arrived." El said. Alex smiled and hugged her. "Can you help me? I can't get that bear." El said. "Your powers still haven't come back?" Alex asked. El shook her head. "They'll come back." Mike said. They both turned around. "They might not come back now but they will soon." Mike said. He grabbed the bear and gave it to El. "thank you." El said. Mike nodded. El hugged Alex. "you packed the walkie right?" Alex asked. "Yes." El said. "Cuz you know i'm gonna steal cerebro from Dustin and call you so much, you're gonna have to turn it off, right?" Alex said. El laughed and hugged Alex again. "I'm gonna miss you." El said. "Me too." Alex said. El heard Max calling her. El left the room, leaving Mike and Alex alone. Everything was silent. "Mike?" Alex asked. "Yeah?" Mike asked, looking at Alex. "um, remember that day at the cabin, you were talking to Max and El?" Alex asked. "Um, i don't think I follow." Mike said. "You talked about your feelings, your heart." Alex said. "Oh, yeah, that. Man, that was so long ago. Um, that was really heat of the moment stuff, and we were arguing and... I don't really remember... what did I say, exactly?" Mike said. "Mike," Alex said. She walked closer to Mike. she put a hand on his cheek. "I love you too." Alex said. Mike was shocked then smiled. He put his hand on Alex's cheek and kissed her. Max and El walked in. "it's time to- oh shit." Max said. Mike and Alex stopped kissing. El and Max started screaming. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" Max said. Alex covered her ears. "Ow!" Alex said. "Sorry." Max and El said. "I'm leaving now." El said. Alex nodded and they all went outside. Everyone was crying and hugging. El got in the truck and they drove off. Alex started crying. "Hey, don't cry." Mike said hugging Alex. Max walked to Alex. "want me to take you home?" Max said. Alex smiled and nodded. "Bye." Mike said. "Bye." Alex said. Everyone got on there bikes and drove off. Max dropped off Alex. "I'll see you tomorrow." Max said. "Yeah." Alex said. "Bye." Max said. "Bye." Alex said. Max drove off and Alex went inside. "How was it?" Mom asked. "Sad but fine." Alex said. "I have to go to the store. Do you think you can manage being alone for awhile?" Mom said. "Mhm." Alex said. "Ok, try not to destroy the house please." mom said. "No promises." Alex said. "Mmm love you." mom said. "Love you too." Alex said. Mom left and Alex went upstairs. Alex closed the door to her room and locked it. She got out a picture of Hopper and sat on the floor. She closed her eyes. She saw Hopper locked in a small room. Alex quickly opened her eyes. "He's alive." Alex said to herself. Alex heard the front door open. She hid the picture and unlocked her door. She heard footsteps coming upstairs and grabbed a book and ran to her bed. The door opened. "Alex, are you back?" Steve asked. "Yeah, i'm back." Alex said. "What were you doing? I heard running." Steve said. "I was looking for the necklace you gave me. I realised i wasn't wearing it this morning." Alex said. "Did you find it?" Steve asked. Alex nodded. "Where's mom?" Steve asked. "At the store." Alex said. "Did anything happen at Will's?" Steve asked. Alex looked back at her book. "Oh look at that. This part is very interesting." Alex said bringing the book closer to her face. Steve grabbed the book. "Hey!" Alex said. "Spill it." Steve said. "Um well let's just say I um had my first kiss." Alex said. "What!? With who!?" Steve said. "Mike." Alex said. Steve fixed his hair. "Of course it was." Steve said. Alex smiled. "Sorry." Alex said. Steve sighed. "Go to bed." Steve said. "Can I have my book back?" Alex asked. Steve handed her the book and left. Alex laid down on the bed and went to sleep.
