The sauna test

Alex told Mike, Lucas and Will about what she's saw and how the mind flayer is coming for her and how he's making an army and Will said he's been getting this weird feeling like how he did whenever the mind flayer was close. "We need to tell Eleven and Max." Lucas said. Everyone nodded, got on their bikes and rode to Mike's house. Lucas was biking next to Mike and Alex. "Mike?" Alex asked. "Yes?" Mike asked. "If it gets me-" Alex started. "It won't get you." Mike said. "How do you know?" Alex asked. "I won't let it." Mike said. Mike saw Lucas smirking. Mike rolled his eyes. Alex smiled and put her head on Mike's back. Mike smiled. When they got there they got off the bikes and went to the basement. Lucas got the radio. Mike and Alex were holding hands. "Do you copy? This is a code red. I repeat, this is a code red. Max. Do you copy? This is a code red." Lucas said. Max answered. "Shut up." Max said then turned off the radio. "She turned it off." Lucas said. Mike rolled his eyes. He let go of Alex's hand and called max on the phone. "I'm sleeping go away." Max said. "This is Mike. Do not hang up. Something happened, something bad. Our very lives are at stake." Mike said. "What are you talking about?" Max asked. "Just come over to my house. We'll explain everything." Mike said. "What?" Max asked. "Hurry!" Mike said then hung up. "Try Dustin again." Mike said grabbing Alex's hand again. "He's not answering." Lucas said. "So try him again." Mike said. "Dustin do you copy? I repeat this is a code red." Lucas said. Dustin didn't answer. "Where is he?" Will asked. All of a sudden Eleven and Max walked down the basement stairs. They saw Alex and hugged her. "we're sorry. El got suspicious and we didn't wanna wake you up so we left thinking we were going to be back in like an hour but we got distracted and decided to just stay at my house." Max said. El nodded. "It's fine." Alex said. "Okay so what is this bad thing that happened?" Max asked. "I didn't think it was anything at first. I mean, I think I just didn't want to believe it. The first time I felt it was at Day of the Dead." Will started. "Power went out that night, too." Mike said. "And then I felt it again at the field near the nelson farm the next day. Then again yesterday outside castle byers." Will said. "Will. What does it feel like?" lucas asked. "It's almost like you know when you drop on a roller coaster?" Will asked. "Sure." Mike said. "Yeah." Max and Lucas said. "No." Alex and El said. "It's like everything inside your body is sinking all at once, but this is worse. Your body it goes cold and and you can't breathe. I've felt it before, whenever he was close." Will said. "Whenever who was close?" Mike asked. "The mind flayer." Alex said. Will nodded. "I closed the gate." El said. "I know, but what if he never left? What if we locked him out here with us?" Will asked. He got a paper and drew the mind flayer. "This is him. All of him. But, that day on the field, a part of him attached itself to me. My mom got it out of me and Eleven closed the gate. But the part that was still in me, what if it's still in our world? In Hawkins." Will said. "I don't understand. The demodogs died when El closed the gate." Lucas said. "If the brain dies, the body dies." Max said. "That's not all." Mike said. "What?" El and Max said. "You remember that day at Dustin's when I fainted?" Alex asked. "Yeah." El and Max said. "I went to the upside down and saw the mind flayer. He said El brought them into this world and She's going to let them stay but for that to happen they were going to kill her. I wasn't going to let it so I used my powers to hurt him and try to kill him but my nose started bleeding and I woke up. I was going to tell you but Dustin was on his way and i didnt get the chance. Then i talked to him yesterday i saw him talking to someone with big light brown hair and  green eyes. He was telling him to make him an army. Then the guy disappeared and he saw me and told me they weren't after El anymore, they were after me. I woke up but last night i saw him again. He said they could never seem to find me and that maybe if he attacked all of you i would give up. I was going to tell him to leave you all alone but then he said they found me. I started running and then i woke up and you and El weren't there so i ran here but i saw a lot of rats running in the same direction I got curious so i followed them to an abandoned warehouse and I saw him. He was making the rats explode to make himself into a new form. Then, I ran out and came back here." Alex said. "But, I closed the gate." El said. "We can't take any chances. We need to assume the worst. The mind flayer's back and it's after Alex." Mike said. "Yeah. and if he is, he'd want to attach himself to someone again. A new me a new host so Alex won't be able to know anything." Will said. Max and El looked at each other. "How do you tell if someone is a host?" Max asked. "I don't know." Will said. "Wait a second, Alex describe the guy the mind flayer was talking to." Mike said. "Light big brown hair with green eyes." Alex said. "It sounds like she's describing Billy." Mike said. "That could be anyone." Max said. "Only one way to find out." Will said. They all got on there bikes and rode to the community pool. When they got there Mike pointed to Billy. "Is that the guy?" Mike asked Alex. "yes." Alex said. "I don't know. He looks pretty normal to me." Max said. "Normal? How many times have you seen him with a shirt on?" Lucas asked. "I mean, It's a little weird." Max said. "More than a little. He was in a tub with ice." Lucas said. "The mind flayer likes it cold." Will said. "Plus everything else-" Lucas said. "But he's lounging at a pool, which is, like, the least mind flayer thing ever." Max said. "Not necessarily. The mind flayer likes to hide. He only used me when he needed me. It's like like you're dormant. And, then when he needs you, you're activated." Will said. "Okay, so we just wait until he gets activated." Max said. "No, what if he hurts Alex or kills someone? We can't take that chance. We need to find out if he's the host." Mike said. Mike took Lucas and Will with him. "Where are you going?" Max asked. "I have an idea. Boys only." Mike said. "Seriously?" El said. "Just trust me on this one." Mike said. They went into the boys locker room. Max and Eleven were talking. Alex was quiet and looking down. "Alex, are you okay?" Max asked. "You're quiet." Eleven said. "It's just i'm worried." Alex said. "About what?" Max asked. "About Steve. It's been two days and he doesn't know where I am and what i'm doing. Dustin and I heard a russian code and he said he was gonna talk to Steve and I'm worried that code may lead them into something bad." Alex said. "I'm sure they're fine." Max said. Alex nodded. Mike, Lucas and Will came back. Mike told him the plan and they went to prepare. Mike and Alex were in the storage room. "Hey, I found the breakers." Mike said. Alex pulled out a test dummy. "Whoa that thing is super creepy. Let me see it." Mike said. Alex handed him the dummy. Mike put it beside him. "I think this'll work. Right, buddy?" Mike said. Then in a squeaky voice Mike said "Right, Mike.". Alex laughed. "Alex?" Mike asked. "Yeah?" Alex asked. "Promise me you'll be careful." Mike said. "Why do I need to be careful?" Alex asked. "This thing. It might be more powerful then all the others we've faced and this is going to be your first time fighting one. Also," Mike said. He grabbed both of Alex's hands. "You're very important to me." Mike said. Alex looked at him and smiled. "I promise." Alex said. Mike put one hand on Alex's cheek. Mike leaned in and right as they were about to kiss, they heard Max on the walkie. "Mike, are you there?" Max asked. Mike pulled away from Alex and grabbed the walkie. "Yeah." Mike said. "Where are you guys?" Max asked. "We're coming." Mike said. Mike turned off the walkie. "We should go." Mike said. Alex nodded and grabbed the dummy. Mike grabbed the breakers and they both left and went with the others. They set everything up and waited for the pool to close. It was time. Alex made a noise to get Billy's attention. "Pool's closed." Billy said. Alex made a noise again. "Hey. Do you hear me? Pool is closed!" Billy said. "Billy!" Mike said. "Who's there?" Billy asked. "Billy!" Mike said in a singy voice. "Who's there?" Billy said in a singy voice. Mike laughed. "Billy! Billy!" Mike said. "You think this is funny, huh?" Billy said. Mike laughed again. "Billy. Come and find me." Mike said. "I find you it's your funeral." Billy said. "Come and get me. Come on! Billy!" Mike said. Mike laughed again. "Got you." Billy said. "Come and get me, you piece of shit." Mike said. Billy was about to grab the dummy. "Hey." Mike said. Billy stopped. "Behind you." Mike said. Billy turned around and saw Alex close the door. Billy started grunting and panting. "Max." Billy said. "Do it." Max said. Mike turned the heat on slowly. "Max! Let me out of here! Let me out. You kids you think this is funny? You kids think this is some kind of sick prank, huh? You little shits think this is funny? What is this? Open the door. Open the door! Open the door! Open the goddamn door!" Billy yelled. "We're at 220." Mike said. Billy started sobbing and Max walked close to the door. "It's not my Fault. It's not my fault. It's not my fault, Max. I promise you it's not my fault." Billy said. "What's not your fault, Billy?" Max asked. "I've done things, Max.really bad things. I didn't mean to. He made me do it." Billy said. "Who made you do it?" Max asked. "I don't know, it's like a shadow. Like a giant shadow. Please, Max."  Billy said. "What did he make you do?" Max asked. "It's not my fault, Okay? Max, please. Please, believe me, Max, it's not my fault. I tried to stop him, Okay? I did. Please believe me, Max. Please believe me." Billy said. "Billy, it's gonna be okay." Max said. "Max, please." Billy said. "It's gonna be okay. We want to help you. We want to help you. You just have to talk to us, okay? You have to talk to us. I believe you, Billy. We'll figure it out together, okay?" Max said. "I feel him." Will said. "What?" Mike asked. "He's activated." Will said. "I need you to trust me." Max said. "Please." Billy said. "Max, get away from the door." Alex said. "What?" Max asked. "Get away from the door!" Alex yelled pulling Max away from the door. "Let me out, you bitch! Let me out! I'll fucking gut you! Let me out!" Billy yelled. "Max, come on!" Lucas said. Billy started running at the door, trying to get out. Alex got in front of everyone. "He can't get out , can he?" Max said. "No way. No way." Lucas said. All of a sudden Billy yelled and got out. Alex pushed everyone back. Alex lifted a weight with her telekinesis and shot it at Billy. Billy hit the wall with the weight. Alex started pushing the weight in the the wall almost choking Billy. Billy threw the weight at Alex but she avoided getting hit. Billy was about to grab Alex when Eleven pulled her out of the way and Billy grabbed El instead. Billy started choking Eleven. "No!" Alex yelled. Billy kept choking her. "Let her go!" Alex yelled. Eleven was almost out of breathe. "I said, Let her go!" Alex yelled. All of a sudden Alex shapeshifted into the Mind flayers new form and hit Billy. Billy hit the floor and dropped Eleven. Alex turned back into herself and Max and Lucas helped Eleven up. Billy got up and kicked Alex in the stomach. Alex fell to the floor and Billy grabbed her. He put both of Alex's arms on the ground so she couldn't use her powers. He grabbed a pole from the floor and was about to stab when Mike hit him in the back with a metal pole. "Go to hell you piece of shit!" Mike said going to hit Billy again but Billy caught the pole and threw it. He was going to hurt Mike. then he wa lifted into the air by Alex. Alex walked around until she was in front of Mike and facing Billy still lifting him. Alex started getting weak and her nose started bleeding but she didn't care. Billy started screaming in pain and Alex threw him into the wall so hard he went through it. Everyone was is shock. All of a sudden Alex fell into Mike's arms crying. Mike held her. She was too weak to stand so Mike slid down the wall until he was sitting on the floor still holding Alex. They got up after a few seconds, Mike helped Alex up. They went to look at Billy. They looked outside though the hole in the wall and Billy wasn't there. They were riding back to Mike's house. When they got there, all of a sudden, Alex fainted.
