The Experiments

Brenner walked into Alex's room. "It's time for you to test your powers, 001." Brenner said. "I told you I'm not being your little bitch." Alex said. "Such strong language for such a little girl." Brenner said. Brenner walked out and closed the door. He went into Adrian's room. "What do you want?" Adrian asked. "It's time you and your sister start giving me some respect and do as I say." Brenner said. "Respect? You want us to give you respect after you took us away and killed our parents." Adrian said. "You heard those screams at night? That's what happens to the people who misbehave. If you and your sister don't start doing as I say, I'll put her in the same room." Brenner said. "Fine." Adrian said. He got up and walked down the hall with Brenner. Alex opened her door and saw them. Adrian and Alex had signals they gave each other to use a certain power. He secretly gave Alex the mind reading signal. Alex read his mind and knew what happened. She sighed. All of a sudden she said "It's okay" in her mind and Adrian could hear her. Adrian turned around confused and shocked. Alex was confused not knowing why he turned around and looked at her. Adrian tried the same thing. "I heard you." Adrian said in his mind. Alex's eyes widened and she went into her room and closed the door. She took out a piece of paper and tried to figure out what's happening. After a couple of hours Adrian came into her room. He made sure Brenner left and then sat next to Alex. "what happened early?" Adrian asked. "I don't know but we could asked Dr. Herse to see if he knows." Alex said. "The guy that comes here everyday and asks you questions? Why would you want to ask him? He's one of the bad men." Adrian said. "No he's not he's nice. He teaches me things. He's not like the bad men I promise. Just trust me." Alex said. Adrian sighed. "Fine." Adrian said. They waited a couple of minutes then the door opened and Dr. Herse came in. "Okay, Alex, so today-" Dr Herse started. He looked up and saw Adrian. "Oh I didn't realise you and your brother were talking. Do you need me to come back?" Dr. Herse said. "No, but Dr. Herse before we start our lesson, can we ask you something?" Alex said. "Sure." Dr. Herse said. "Okay so this morning, Alex talked to me with her mind and I could talk to her with my mind." Adrian said. Dr. Herse thought for a second. "It sounds like twin telepathy. But in this case, since your not twins, its telepathy." Dr. Herse said. "What is telepathy?" Alex asked. "It's a power. It allows you to talk to someone without words basically they can hear your thoughts and hear you talking to them with their mind." Dr. Herse said. Alex and Adrian looked at each other. "Is this power... new?" He asked. They both nodded. "None of the other kids have discovered any new abilities. This is amazing. You two are turning more powerful. Of course it might make you get weak faster or if too much of every power is used it could kill you." Dr. Herse said. Alex got a scared look on her face. "Great more tests." Adrian said. "No, I won't tell Brenner about your new powers. Just try not to use them a lot or when Brenner is around, okay?" Dr. Herse said. Alex and Adrian nodded. *Next morning* Brenner walked in and Alex knew he was going to take her to do experiments. She got up and walked out the door along with Brenner. He lead her to a room with a girl. Alex was confused. She had the number 011 on her wrist. Alex looked at Brenner and so did 011. He nodded and Alex got even more confused. All of a sudden, 011 screamed and Alex hit the wall. She fell to the floor. She looked at 011 and blood was coming off her nose. Alex got up. "He wants us to fight, doesn't he?" Alex asked. 011 was confused at first but them nodded. "Fine, then he'll get a fight." Alex said. Alex put her hand up then made Brenner and the other scientists see them fighting. She covered 011's eyes. 011 struggled. "Sshhh." Alex said. 011 calmed down. After a while Alex stopped. She let go of 011 and pretended to look tired from using her powers. Brenner took her and 011 back to their rooms. That was the only time Alex saw her sister. After a few minutes Brenner came back and took her to another room. With a coca cola can. "Crush it with your mind." Brenner said then walked out the room. She looked at the can and crushed it. She then set it on fire. It started melting and she pour water on it. She then made it float in the air and threw it at the window where Brenner was watching her. She got up and left. She went to her room. It went on like this for a couple years. Alex was now 11 years old. She woke up to the sound of Brenner yelled at the room next to her's. Which was Adrian's room. Alex got up and went to Adrian's room and watched him and Brenner. "your worthless!" Brenner said to Adrian. Alex was standing at the door. Brenner started to turn around and Alex turned invisible. He walked by her and closed the door. Alex ran to Adrian. "Alex." Adrian said. "What did he do to you?" Alex asked. "I've been using my powers so much that-" Adrian paused. "That what?" Alex asked. "They're gone, Alex. My powers are gone. He's getting rid of me tomorrow." Adrian said. "But you promised mom and dad you'd take care of me. If you leave i'll have no one left Adrian." Alex said. "Believe me I don't want to leave, as much as this place is hell but I can't stay either." Adrian said. A tear fell from Alex's cheek. Adrian wiped it off. "Listen to me, your the strongest patient now. I need you to promise you that when you can, use your powers to escape this place." Adrian said. "I-i promise." Alex said. Adrian hugged Alex. "I love you sis." Adrian said. More tears fell from Alex's cheeks. "I love you too." Alex said. All of a sudden guards came and took Alex. Alex was taken into her room. After a few minutes Brenner came in. "you son of a bitch!" Alex yelled. "Your taking my brother away!" Alex yelled. Tears formed in her eyes. "He has no use to me." Brenner said. "I'll kill you!" Alex yelled. She threw Brenner to the wall. Brenner tired to get up but Alex put him back down. Two guards came and tried to contain her. Alex put her hand up. Her eyes turned yellow and the two guards started floating. Alex made their eyes bleed. They dropped to the floor dead. More guards came and she turned invisible. She snapped all their necks. She looked at Brenner and he started choking. He put his arms around his neck. Alex's eyes started turning red. "I should kill you for what your doing." Alex said. She heard more guards and slammed the door. Her eyes turned back to yellow and she looked at Brenner. "But I won't." Alex's eyes turned back to normal and Brenner gasped for air. "Because I know even if I kill you I'll still be trapped in here and they'll still take Adrian away." Alex said. Alex walked to the door and opened it. "By the way, this is your mess." Alex said looking at the dead bodies. "Clean it up." Alex said. She walked the cafeteria and went to an empty room. Jason saw her pass by. "Hey Ale-" Jason said but Alex ran to the room. He sighed and went after her. He knocked on the door. "Alex? Are you okay?" Jason asked. Alex didn't answer. He opened the door and saw Alex crying in the corner. She looked up at him. She wanted to hug him but knew what happened if she did. But she didn't care anymore she got up and hugged him. Jason hugged her back. She cried into his chest. The ground started shaking and Alex let go. "No, no the whole world will just have to deal with it, okay?" Jason said. Alex nodded. They hugged again. The ground started shaking again but they didn't care. After a few minutes they let go and sat on the floor. "I killed so many people and they're taking Adrian away." Alex said. Jason looked at her. "It's okay,  you'll still have me." Jason said. Alex smiled weakly at him. "Come on, you gonna eat?" Jason asked. Alex nodded. They go to the cafeteria and eat.
