Alive?

Steve heard a gasp and Alex coughed. She sat up and was breathing heavily. "Alex?" Steve asked. "What happened?" Alex asked. "I'll explain when we get to the house you think you can-" Steve started. Alex nodded. They got out the car Alex teleported her and Steve to their house. Alex fell to the floor and her nose started bleeding. "Hey, hey, hey, you alright?" Steve asked. Alex nodded. Steve took her inside. "Alex?" Mom and Dad asked. "I thought you said she was dead." Dad said. "She was." Steve said. "Dead?" Alex asked. Steve picked her up and put her in her room. Alex drained the energy of a lamp. "Where's Mike?" Alex asked. "He's fine." Steve said. "I need to see him." Alex said trying to get up. "Alex-" Steve started. "He doesn't know I'm alive." Alex said. "And we should keep it like that." Steve said. "What?!" Alex asked. "Alex, He was heart broken. When I got there he wouldn't even say a word. The table was flipped there were things broken on the floor." Steve said. "Even more reason for me to go see him." Alex said. "Alex, I think you should just stay here away from him and the others." Steve said. "Steve you can't be serious!" Alex said. "I am. He can't know your here. No one can." Steve said. "This is bullshit!" Alex yelled. "Alex just calm down." Steve said. "No, I need to see him!" Alex said. "Alex! The lab is looking for you. Trust me the safest place for you and them is here. I promise you'll see him soon, okay? But for now as far as anyone is concerned your dead. And next week we're going to bury you." Steve said. "Bury me?" Alex asked. "A fake you." Steve said. Alex looked away mad because she couldn't go see Mike or the others. Steve grabbed her hand. "You have to trust me, You'll see him soon. I promise." Steve said. Alex looked at him. "Fine." Alex said. "I'll ask Hopper for help with closing that lab too." Steve said. Alex nodded. Steve left. Alex flopped on her bed. She started crying. Alex closed her eyes and saw Mike. He was crying on his bed while holding the pictures of them. Alex looked at him. Mike looked up. "Alex?" Mike asked. Alex put her hand on his cheek and he felt it. He put his hand on top of hers. Alex's eyes opened and she cried. Then she fell asleep. *A week later* Mike got ready for school. Mike's mom knocked on his door. "Honey, You don't have to go to school if you need time." Mrs. Wheeler said. "I'm fine mom. I have to go or I'll be late." Mike said. "O-okay." Mrs. Wheeler said. Mike left the house and rode his bike to school. Lucas was locking his bike in the rack. "Mike? I didn't think you would come today." Lucas said. "I don't have time. Alex is alive." Mike said. "Mike." Lucas said. "No Lucas you don't understand last night I could feel that she was there. I know she's out there, okay?" Mike said. Max came. "What's wrong?" Max asked. "Mike thinks Alex is alive." Lucas said. "Mike, I want to believe that she's alive too I do but we saw her die, we saw the body. She's gone." Max said. "No! I know what I felt and I know she's not gone! You don't believe me fine! I'm out of here." Mike said. "Mike-" Lucas started. Mike walked away and went home. "I thought you were going to school." Mrs. Wheeler said. "Changed my mind. I'll be in my room." Mike said. Mike laid on his bed. After a couple hours he decided to go to Steve's house. Alex was in her room laying on her bed. Steve knocked. Alex opened the the door with her powers. "Hey, Alex, um me, mom and dad are going to look for a casket. To you know bury." Steve said. Alex nodded. "Look I know your mad, okay? But it's for the best." Steve said. Alex just looked at him. She turned around laying on her side to make her back face Steve. Steve sighed. They heard the doorbell. Steve went downstairs leaving Alex's door open. "Mike? What are you doing here?" Steve asked. Alex's eyes widened. She got up. Alex stayed in her room but watched them from her door. "Why aren't you at school?" Steve asked. "I um didn't feel like it." Mike said. "How have you been?" Steve asked. "It's only been a week." Mike said. Steve sighed. "I know you miss her." Steve said. "Do you think she's alive?" Mike asked. "What?" Steve asked. "Do you think she's still alive?" Mike asked. "I don't know Mike. Me and my parents were actually on our way to find a casket to bury her some time next week." Steve said. "Oh." Mike said looking down. "Why would you ask that?" Steve asked. "I- it's like when El disappeared I could feel she wasn't gone. That s-she was out there and she was. Hopper was hiding her. I don't think she's gone. I won't." Mike said. Alex slammed the door and started crying. "What was that?" Mike asked. "Probably my mom." Steve said. Mike nodded. After a while Mike left. Steve went to Alex's room. "What was that? You could've gotten us exposed." Steve said. "He's hurting and you told him I was dead." Alex said. "I'm sorry but it's for the best." Steve said. Alex just shook her head and looked away from Steve. "We'll be back." Steve said. He closed the door. Alex looked down at her necklace. She took it off. Alex looked at her closet. She saw a shirt Mike had given her. Mike's mouth was wide. "Michael!" Alex yelled. Mike had spilled something on her. He started laughing. "I'm so sorry." Mike said smiling. Alex playfully hit him. "Ow." Mike said laughing. "What am I gonna do?" Alex asked. Mike got up and went upstairs. He came back down with a shirt. It was a dark blue long sleeve with yellow stripes and a collar. "Here put this on." Mike said. "Your shirt?" Alex asked. "Yeah." Mike said. "Mike I can't." Alex said. "Yes you can come on. I own you a new shirt anyways." Mike said. Alex sighed and took the shirt. She went to the bathroom. When she came out Mike smiled. "What?" Alex asked. "You look cute." Mike said. Alex threw her messed up shirt at him. Mike started laughing. He got up and hugged her. Mike let out a deep breathe. "I love you." Mike said. He kissed her forehead. Alex smiled. "I love you too." Alex said. Mike put his fingers on her chin and made her look at him. "Promise I'll never lose you." Mike said. "I promise." Alex said. Mike smiled and kissed her. Alex took the shirt out of the closet. She held it close to her chest. "I love you." Alex whispered. Tears fell from her face. Alex saw something. It was the basket she made El. Alex took it out. She looked through it and cried. *Mike* Mike came home and saw the others on his porch waiting for him. Mike walked passed them and opened his door. They followed after him. Mike went to the basement. "Mike!" They called out behind him. "What do you guys want?" Mike asked. "We're worried about you." Dustin said. "Yeah." Will and Eddie said. "I'm fine." Mike said. "Mike you just lost the girl you love and had been with her for like 7 years. You can't say your fine." Max said. Mike turned around. "Fine, you want to know how I am? I'm hurting! I just lost the love of my life! I will never see her again and I will never hear her laugh, her voice anything! I can't deal with her dead! But guess what I'm not giving up on her! I don't care if we saw the body if we saw her die she's alive and I know it! So fuck off!" Mike said with tears going down his face. Mike collapsed on the floor crying. They all ran to him and hugged him. After a while El asked Jason if they could talk outside. "What is it?" Jason asked. "I-i like you. I-i know this might not be a good time but maybe one day you might want to go out with me?" El said. Jason smiled and grabbed her hand. "I like you too. And yes I'll go out with you." Jason said. El hugged him. Dustin came outside. "Hey so I'm going to Steve's to pick up something you guys want to come?" Dustin asked. They nodded. *Alex* Alex was crying and smiling looking at El's stuff. All of a sudden she heard something. Alex looked up and stopped crying. "Steve?" Alex asked. No answer. Alex got confused. She walked slowly out her door. Alex saw nothing. A black figure appeared behind her. It threw her down the stairs. Alex screamed. She hit the floor and quickly healed herself then got up. Alex saw the figure and was about to do something when a Demo dog attacked her and made her hit the ground. It screeched in her ear. Alex screamed. The figure walked down the stairs. "You didn't think this was over, did you?" The figure said. Alex looked close and it was the human version of the mind flayer. "Kill her. And finish the job." The mind flayer said. Alex closed her eyes as the demo dog raised his claws and was about to stab her side. The door burst open. "Alex?!" Jason asked. The demo dog stopped. "The hell?" Dustin asked. The figure disappeared. The demo dog raised his claw again and was about to stab her. "No!" El yelled. Something tackled the demo dog. Alex was on the floor getting away from the demo dog. Dart had tackled it off of her. Dustin, Jason and El helped her up. They still couldn't believe she was really there. Dart and the demo dog started fighting. Alex ran to the kitchen and stabbed the demo dog. She was careful not to hurt Dart. she threw it to the wall and set it on fire. Alex started breathing heavily. She turned to Dustin and Jason and El. They looked at her. "Hey." Alex said.
